they did this song because matt and trey always said they wanted to do a song that sounds very pure but has a dirty meaning, like the songs cartman sings in the christian rock episode of southpark
I really like this version a lot!! It's one of the demos i prefer more than the broadway version. i just think Trey's mannerisms in his singing really fit this song a lot more to me. it makes it more silly and funny in the ways that they intended than how kind of slightly uncomfortable the actual version always felt to me lol
@@masterofallgoons I'm pretty sure it was either mentioned in an interview or something. Also I think his wife is on Broadway or something and has I recognise her voice
I think the female vocals are done by Robert Lopez's wife, Kristen Anderson-Lopez.. There are videos on RUclips of her singing and her voice sounds A LOT like the girl in this recording.
Samuel Warren I think you're right, it does sound like Kristen Anderson Lopez... I recognize her voice from the demo recordings on the deluxe frozen soundtrack
I think she sounds cute. It’s not a voice I would want to listen to all the time but I think it fits for the song. I can see people finding it annoying though. It’s like...really generic pop-y sounding.
I was expecting trey doing a duet with himself lmao
I'm sad that was not the case lmao
it is, he just pitched his voice for the female part
Yeah he did haha
@@Toxodos that’s actually Bobby Lopez’s wife

ryan barrera or 'when I was on top of you' from cannibal the musical
I feel like this is the opposite something that means something very pure but it is very dirty
Can't believe trey put auto tune on his voices on parts for this song! He doesn't need it! 😂
I just love Trey's voice so fucking much

This is the best of the early versions
Hey Mike how’s heaven
i wish trey parker baptize me!! i love him!!
Trey sounds great in this though
One of the best musicals I've ever seen.
This is the only song from this show that I prefure these voices then the Broadway ones. Espically the femail voice
is anyone gonna point out that price is singing instead of Cunningham or-
OHMYGOD
Tiahna Ward I’m sorry I needed to tell everyone this cursed knowledge
@@danahick9473 I hate this so much. I can't see Price in Cunningham's place sjdkdk
Its Trey Parker thoo
It’s almost like they are talking about sex. But nah. It’s just about baptism
Right?
Who is the female singer? She has a great voice!
kjc1027 I think it's one of the guys with a pitch altering effect. It doesn't sound like an actual human voice, meaning it's highly auto tuned.
Just Peachy HAHAHAHHAHA I DIDN’T REALIZE
@@peachy.peachy.peachy uh no, it's actually Robert Lopez's wife (he wrote avenue Q)
@@bettychristmas3426- That's what I figured, just since they write all their songs together now... what's your source though?
@@masterofallgoons I'm pretty sure it was either mentioned in an interview or something. Also I think his wife is on Broadway or something and has I recognise her voice
+TheNidges I think it's either Matt or Bobby, doesn't sound much like Trey.
+muppetlover16 it's definitely trey.
yeah, how can you not tell? id bet anything its trey. it sounds like one of the fathers of the town singing
Who did the female vocals?
Not sure. It might just be Trey with the pitch altered.
TheNidges I seriously doubt Trey can do THAT good of an impression of an English person from Staines.
i dont think you understand voice acting or how good he is. but yeah, im 90% sure its a real female
