@@quackblade8 autotune corrects your pitch, not raise it. lol. besides, in my opinion, it doesn't really matter if the last part is autotuned or not, it still sounds good. i can understand ppl who don't enjoy autotuned stuff though =)
They still kept a reference to it when Elder Price leaves Uganda Elder Cunningham says,"Oh no! What am i supposed to do? According to rule 33 I cant leave after curfew, but according to rule 72 I cant leave my partner alone! This is like a Matrix Time Warp! Rule 33? Rule 72? I CANT SEE"
In the Book of Mormon program (the one they sell) it says in an early version of the show, Elder Price dies and goes to hell. Is this where they planned on killing him off, or was he in place of the guy who gets shot? Logically, this makes sense, as what would have been H-E-Double Hockey Sticks shortly follows this number.
I assume you're referencing the song "Spooky Mormon Hell Dream"? I can only guess that perhaps in an early version of the show he died and didn't go to heaven as a result of his loss of faith? In South Park only Mormons go to heaven so maybe that was the idea. Are you sure they weren't just talking about "Spooky"?
+Giacomo Fizzano yeah H-E-Double Hockey Sticks was the demo version of Spooky Mormon Hell Dream. Where the story played out a little differently before the finalization of the musical :)
So many dirt roads, which one leads to Entebbe All that I know is that there's an airport in Entebbe But now I'm lost in these dangerous plains On these cliffs in the mud and rain And I really better make sure I don't lose my footing
@@christinasamuel731 Entebbe is a place in Africa. I'm assuming it's where they arrived at the airport originally so he wants to go back to the airport and leave.
Ash Benzaiten there is a hint of it when elder price leaves and elder cunningham has to choose between rule 23 and rule 72 he says its like some crazy matrix logic trick
tbh i really like this version of the song, (of course I prefer the other man up and the final version of the show) the storyline of Kevin dying and fighting his way out of hell sounds really cool.
Aurum Gloria Pictures yeah but they couldn't work out how to bring him back so they killed someone else and brought in the idea of spooky mormon hell dream
Without that brilliant revelation, we wouldnt have all those billions of McKinleyfics about him and Kevin snuggling up and talking about Connor's hell dreams.
THEY ARE? THANK YOU now you have to read all of the many fics where McKinley and Kevin talk in a kitchen at midnight. Although I usually don't put that in my stories also the last one isn't mine it's somebody else's but its still awesome
The beginning of this was pretty much exactly the same...and then Nabulungi was a guy and Price started singing his part... BTW WHAT HAPPENED TO I HAVE MAGGOTS IN MY SCROTUM!!
What the hell Kevin's part is so w e i r d in the demo XDDD W h y d o e s n ' t h e s i n g t o h i s b e l o v e d O r l a n d o ? When did the idea of making him obbsesed with Orlando appear? xD
I love when his voice goes so high he turns into Cartman lol.

I keep replaying the last part like. Trey hits those last few notes so well, it actually gives me chills.
+Hannah McBride Right??? I was really impressed, he rocked those notes omg
+Hannah McBride It's autotune.
Trey Parker is not a bad singer, but he's also not a tenor.

While the Matrix joke is funny, I'm glad they replaced it with the maggots joke. Just feels more in context.
ScratchBoard yeah, where would these poor Ugandans even have seen the Matrix trilogy

Hasa Diga Elohai sounds like grandpa Marsh, "Billy, be a good kid and get grandpa his shotgun."
I almost like this one more than final version. Almost.
yes also you should check out Jonathan Dudley's cover of Man Up one of our west end understudy's in London
As absolute perfection as the current show is, I love the Matrix running gag. Shame they couldn't find a way to weave it back in!

Ash Benzaiten I prefer what they replaced it with, I Have Maggots in my Scrotum!!!
I think it became the "I Have Maggots In My Scroooootuuuum." line that the doctor guy says.
I love how in this version you can hear Elder Mckinley singing turn it off at the end
I love the way this song builds and builds to the end. Especially from 3:10 to the end.
