Great video guys, appreciate the effort! I have the XH2s for 2 weeks now, loving it, i just wish they add the possibility to change ISO with the front or real dial like with the XT4! Now it just lets me use it for SS or aperture :(
I typically shoot auto iso, max 6400, and control shutter and aperture with the dials. I think, aesthetically, the xt3 is very pleasing with the dials on top, but I shot nikon for over a decade, and still used to pasm dial. I think fuji lovers are upset because it's not as aesthetically pleasing, but you can now adjust the shutter speed and ev compensation without moving your hand from the grip. Works for me!
@@sonofnothing you are a bit lost with the "fuji lovers" note, I like the XH2s more than my XT4 (although IBIS in video was far better in the XT4), I have both cameras and never used the top dials on my XT4 as I mostly shoot video. Auto ISO is not a real option for shooting video tho. They could easily give us the option to set one of the front or rear dials that the camera already has, same way they did for all the other models.
@@joseluisc8891 well, I don't know. In every single publication, and every RUclips 'review' (overview), they complain about pasm dial, and missing the top dials . I'm not into video, myself. I like taking stills. I actually did use the ev comp dial a lot, but the shutter would be easier to scroll the wheel infinitely, as opposed to having 3 or 4 speeds(with the back wheel) per click of the dial.
Hi Francis, I own xh2 and love 40mp capability but for sport and wildlife do you think I need to buy xh2s? I know it’s Ai tracking is better buy still is 26mp and I see noise on pictures when I tested in low light and high iso! Also I would like to know your opinion if having and shooting with 2 bodies in parallel is an advantage to cover all situations? Thank you
I have a Fuji X-H2, and I like to assign various simulations and functions to the Custom Settings buttons 1 through 7. I am allowed to provide NAMES to these like “Landscapes” or “Portraits” etc., but unless I commit them to memory when I go to choose it, there is no indication what C1 or C2 etc. are. With my X-T5, I assign one of the FN buttons that will light up C1 through C7 and will tell me the name of which one I am going to use. Does anyone know of a way to see these. I can’t seem to assign this to an FN button … It would be nice if I clock the dial on the X-H2 to C1 though C7 and the name of that choice would pop up on the LCD screen. Any ideas?
Hi, thanks for the video. Do you know if the DJI RSC2 will work with X-H2S? I have currently X-T3 and when I use usbc cable I can use record button on the gimbal to stop/start recording and dial to change the ISO. X-H2S is not on the official compatibility list, but maybe you guys have tried it or maybe one of your subscribers. Cheers.
@@jordanwright5795 I sold my XT-3 and bought XH2S and test it myself. It works perfectly as it should. Just make sure you have latest firmware and in the Select Connection Settings menu choose USB Tether Shooting Auto. Also you can half press record button on gimbal to focus the camera.
Hi "Fuji Guys"! Got recently the XH2s and was able to use the Format shortcut. I believe with version 2.01. Since the successive latest versions I am not able to format through the shortcut. Have to go through the menu system. Anyone with the same issue? Cheers
I wonder how the 1+3 recording mode works since the cfexpress and sd cards don't allow the same recording modes. It works only if you use modes that the sd can handle
Is there any way to quickly change the subject detection? Even the Quick menu might take too much time, why not give us a dedicated shortcut like we got for the focus modes, ISO, and shutter type? I think you can only map a button to enable/disable it altogether, not switch what it's supposed to detect.
Hi, can X-H2s switch from between focus modes while recording a video? Because it does not have a physical mode switch, as on the xs10, and it switches autofocus modes only when the video is stopped, but other fuji cameras with physical switching can do this right during recording.
You can enable AF+MF in the menu and if you have either AF-S or AF-C, turning the MF ring on the lens will switch it to MF. Half-press the Shutter button during recording and it will then go back to the previous AF setting you had it on.
Since the X-H2S's button layout now allows for this, how about an update that will allow pictures to be taken while recording videos and the same time?
Hi Fuji_Guys, Found a real Fuji Bug. If you enable AF+MF the camera will immediately shoot a photo even without fucus priority is set and even in AF-S. Cost me 300 photos on a Party are out of focus. At least on my X-H2 ...should be the same on all Fujis.
Hi guys. I am shooting wildlife in Manual mode with H2S. How can i quickly change the iso setting directly using the wheel like with the X-T3? When in the iso menu, i am loosing my 3d tracking af. Pushing the iso button to get the iso graph bar on screen and than selecting with the wheel is too slow and not practical for fast bird photography. Where is my compensation button when in manual mode with auto iso? Very complexe and slow.
Set auto iso? I set it for max 6400, and worry about shutter and aperture (which is often wide open). When I am shooting static wildlife, I dial the shutter back, which lowers the iso automatically. For fast moving stuff, bump up the shutter speed, and iso follows. Simplify your style, however possible!
No, you can't import LUTs to the camera however a F-Log View Assist is available in the camera to preview footage when filming in F-Log. LUT's can be added to external recorders like the Atomos Ninja V.
Coming from a Xt4 thought the same, but the C modes are just fire for video (which is my only use of the XH2S) having C1 to 24fps, C2 to 60fps (to slow it down in post and C3 to 120fps has been a MAJOR upgrade!
Definitely not terrible. Shooting nikon for 10+ years helps with the muscle memory. My style though (sports and wildlife) I just set auto iso, shoot widest aperture, and only adjust shutter speed as needed. Pretty simple with one command wheel.
Well this is fantastically helpful
Thank you !

Can you save the shutter sound and volume to the c1-c7 modes on the dial?

The C modes are great, but would be even more useful for video if you could somehow maintain exposure and WB settings when switching between them.
The WB is retained in the C modes. Exposure mode as well. The C modes are very comprehensive.
