So basically FBW made the Enhanced A320 that comes with the simulator obsolete.
The FlyByWire team really never disapoints!
If this plane had the inibuilds external model I'd actually fly it but with the default A320 I just can't

@blackieblong8334 it's not their fault really. I admire their work. I'm learning software engineering rn. I hope to one day be able to help as well. However that default A320Neo external model underneath the amazing work in the cockpit bugs me cause it's inaccurate. It doesn't help that I fly the fenix a lot

@GG_Booboo I only want the external model of inibuils with FBW sounds and Avionics improvements. They're all over the place 😂😂
@@GG_Booboothe iniBuilds A320 has a significantly better model though. The sounds and systems aren’t as good, but the model is far superior.

Gav do u have any confirmation on the release date for the A380? FBW recently showcased a full flight in FSExpo
It does have a limited secondary FP to put in single engine return. and I don't think there is a time for the 380 yet

@@pilotpawancapparently it’s not fully A-to-B ready yet. core team members said that certain parts of the FMS that are unfinished. Also if you look at the GitHub repo (a380 systems/avionics are alr open source), you’ll notice that basic functionality like the transponder is still being worked on, even though the aircraft as a whole looks complete in the previews
@@pilotpawancchill out. It will be released when it’s ready. The only one who decides if it’s ready is FBW. They won’t release it sooner if you keep asking and asking and asking. Y’all need to stop crying so much about a release date. Be glad you’re gonna get a FREE a380 that’s gonna be on payware level. It’ll be released around early 2025 is my guess based on what FBW claims with regards to their progress.

I wanted to use the inibuilds A320neo but it’s too heavy on my fps so I have to stick with the FBW, still waiting for their new RNAV RNP functionality and new model, hopefully better performance with the FBW model A320neo.
@Easyjetsimpilot, I used today (think it had the update on as I use dev mode)
But i had a few issues going to Glasgow (and i think i know the answer) but as I'm not paying for the Navigragph sub atm, the airac used on simbrief is AIRAC 2303 (but the MCDU has the 2406) in it so had issues with Glasgow runway 24 on Simbrief but in apprioaches only runway 23 and invalid whenever trying to select) I assume as the airac dont match & glasgow may have changed but seemed on it was from 24 but only 23 in plane?
Is there anyway to role back the AIRAC in MCDU to match simbrief or am i just unlucky & only fix is the full Navigrapgh?
So I had to divert to Edi EGPH which was a bit of a mess (as although i could do direct too and EGPH set as Alt I weanted to clear Galsgow and it got a but messy for me but I made it to appoach (trying auto land) but like a 200 feet it turned off with red autoland warning and sent me flying off to the grass on right? oops maybe it not cat II/III or something but would have thought it was.

I had the same issues trying to load any approaches to Glasgow in the FBW. Both 23 and 05 - ILS, LOC etc none of them worked, it just said invalid
@@My320Sim Ooh not just me then, :) well as I was using free simbrief and old AIRAC and noticed the one in the plane is 2406 I assume its the miss match but not sure if I can roll back or match it database with the free simbrief one, I'm too poor atm to sub to Navigrapgh but have always wanted it.

Not saying it’s a bad aircraft or anything and i’m sure a lot of dev efforts have gone into the A380 which i’m sure will be amazing. But come on, it’s been almost 4 years since the project started…
@@madmaxaviationit’s literally a free project and the people that make it have jobs, go to school, etc. Still they make their plane more accurate than PMDG and and fenix. Just have a look at their code

Not everyone WANTS to use simbrief? Ok boomer. Actually simbrief with a random flight generator is more realistic than manually planning. Pilots never manually plan. Just like sim fief, they just get sent a flightplan on EFB, ACARS and printed before the flight. Just like simbrief

you use simbridge when you want it connecting to outside source for the terrain map, and also if you want to use the MCDU on your tablet etc.
Somehow after installing the fbw 320 it doesn't seem to appear onto my aircraft selection list when I choose a plane I want to fly in world map. Any ideas how I could fix this? Tysm ❤
Did you place the FBW folder in your Community Folder in MSFS?
Shouldn't it show Man TOGA, SRS GA TREK? instead of NAV
New MSNs now automatically go into NAV mode upon GA. The older models used to show GA TRK and then you'd push the HDG bug to select NAV mode.

It's a developer build, not a stable release
The last update is not working properly,Before the MCDU calculated the v1,vr,v2 speeds but now are not working🤬
This is because of the takeoff calculator in the EFB that is now available. You need to use this rather than the unrealistic way of using default values from the MCDU.

So, at this point, which FMC is more "complete"? The iniBuilds version or this one? And what is still missing that the Fenix (or real plane) has? Is it just RNAV/RNP approaches and independent MCDUs and then we're "done"?
No. Fenix has a dynamic engine model. Heat soaked engines can start fault. Either no ignition, high egt, etc. it'll auto crank. It really doesn't compare in detail.

FlyByWire Simulations has announced the release of their entirely custom FMSv2 for the A32NX into the Development Version.
Thanks, but I still can't manage to land. There's always something wrong with the arrival. ATC gives me a different runway than the one in my flight plan. It's always stressful. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. 😅
@@Pretender_Gamer default ATC is pretty rubbish and not always correct. Changing runways however in your flight plan is straight forward and should be done in exactly the same was as you get it on the ground.

@@Pretender_Gamer when your on the arrival page, and you select a new runway, you can change the STAR too if required. Then use the left/right arrows to move pages to select a new VIA
Why not the MCT transition for Manchester?
Because this proceedure is only really used if you've lost comms and need tk fly the full proceedure.
In the UK, the STARs do not take you to the ILS intercept point and usually leave you a few miles out in a hold. From here, in real life, ATC will pull you off the approach (STAR) and give you headings (vectors) to fly to intercept the ILS.
If you lost comms, you would fly to the final waypoint on the STAR, then to the MCT VOR on the airfield at Manchester then fly the full ILS proceedure on the chart (the tear-drop looking approach)
I do not see V2 in the installer. Only version 0.11.1

think I read somewhere that you may have two copies in the community folder of the FBW that causes this, and you have to uninstall the one from the store and just use the installer version?

Nope, you can just see the MCDUs moving together around the 6:25 mark. Seems like we can tick "waiting for V2 FMS" off our list of excuses for not implementing independent displays or for that matter a performance calculator in the EFB.

Thanks for your great videos. You are my number one go to person on RUclips. May I ask a quick question? With the new version, I am having a problem at TD, that when I set the lower altitude and select managed at TD, my plane does not descend (which it used to do in the old version). Is there a change in V2 that I may have missed?
You need to push the ALT knob for managed to Decent mode or Pull for Open Speed. It will never start to descend on its own without pilot input (it's not a Boeing 🤣)

I have the Fenix and the Inibuild but for me, the FBY is my go to -even more so with the MCDU update. Thanks to the team for their continued support and hard work 🥳👍

@@TrooperA1868 I can only assume his PC isn’t strong enough for the performance he wants in the sim and the Fenix A320 is one of the heavier aircraft to run because of its complexity. That’s the only reason I can think of to choose a improvement mod over the most high fidelity aircraft in the sim.

Have they added RNAV? Otherwise pass again. This is becoming laughable.
Have you considered these people go to school, have jobs, have a life, and meantime FOR FREE create an airplane of which every feature touched by the team is more accurate than any other aircraft ever existed in a flightsim? Go create rnav yourself. See the thing is, fbw doesn’t just create something basic like a simple rnav system. They go ALL OUT. They will work with real life a320 pilots AND certified mechanics. Also real life a320 builders and programmers for avionics. They will make sure their entire code is based on true physics like you’re taught in school. They will make sure everything is correct within 1% difference from the real thing. Everything in the fbw that the team touched is nearly perfectly accurate to fcom. Just check their post on fuel usage vs the fenix compared to fcom. Fenix was very, very far off. Fbw also makes sure that their pitch angle at every speed and condition is perfectly within margin of error of fcom expectations. It’s the most realistic experience we have ever had in flightsim. HOWEVER, it is not complete. A lot of things are still asobo default. For example the cockpit and exterior model are just asobo default with a few adjustment such as tires and the straight glareshield. The rest is still default. They’re planning on releasing a full custom cockpit and exterior model I’m the future. Anyway, believe it or not, the fbw is MILES ahead of the fenix in terms of realism. Fenix is just more complete. But every feature fbw has developed is ahead of fenix.

Not sure about you, but their A320 has become so irrelevant to me with Fenix and PMDG. The only thing I look forward to from them is the A380.
And even more so now we have the V2 default in the sim thanks to Inibuilds.
