Don't let those small patches of poa bother you. You will go crazy. No one knows that is poa except the lawn community. Your neighbors just see a very nice lawn with no weeds. They don't see thst poa. Other You tubers have renovated their lawns only to wake up the poa trivia. Don't even think of doing a renovation after spending so much $$ on your green establishment lawn. You will regret it. Just saying. MERRY CHRISTmas to you and your family. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season!
Thanks Grace! You are right! I would only consider it if it spreads and takes over year after year. No where near there yet as you said. God bless you, Merry Christmas!
My poa constrictor came yesterday I know I can't apply until the fall but with my ADHD it's going to take that long for me to read the instructions and fully comprehend but I'm also leaning on you mister Ferguson to do an application in your yard so I can copy cat you LOL I'm in the western Piedmont here in North Carolina not a whole lot of difference in our climate.
In NE ohio the poa doesn't die out in the summer... it simply doesn't get hot enough. I used Prograss Ec in the spring and again in the fall. Like you i didn't see any impact. The directions indicate 3applications, spring, falland again in the spring. It also gives a rather wide range of application rates. I used the lowest rate. This spring I'll up the rate and apply with tenacity to see if it does any better. I also put down dithiopyr in 2 applications in September. All in all limited impact...i still see poa. I'll apply the dithiopyr again in the spring as well
haha, Merry Christmas red! Enjoy that white stuff! Lots of high wind and some sleet this morning that quickly went away. Cold buddy cold tomorrow though! God bless!
Thanks for the update. If it's not one form of Poa it's another. Man, I hate that stuff. I'm ate up with it as well, one yard the same color. Merry X-mas!
Honestly, if that is what you are looking at, I wouldnt waste my money on these products. I'd make it through summer, and focus on seeding in fall. Use ethofumasate then, to try and stop some of the poa, but the thicker turf you plant in fall is what will help the most. For now, let the poa die out with the summer heat, you can do a weed and feed, but just limp to Fall and address it then.
Don’t try renovating- I have done 3 renovations with 2 months of repeated fallowing and 4 glyco treatments 2 years later it came right back Now I just live with little patches with “attempted” control
The RUclips notification just said, "We have Poa!" I guess my blood pressure needed that. Merry Christmas!
Haha, well it’s not wrong! Ho ho ho, have some devil grass

Just put down an app of both tenacity and poa constrictor! Let’s see how it turns out!

Merry Christmas William! We will survive
Half of my fescue lawn is POA. If I put down Sea-K and Adjuvants, will I be helping my Fescue AND the POA?

Mr Ferg, can you update us now thats it’s spring time 2023? Do you see a reduction of poa?
Absolutely. I was just looking at this an hour ago believe it or not.
