Illinois Railway Museum, Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-26, 2019

The Illinois Railway Museum is the largest railroad museum in the United States and is home to all sorts of diesel, electric, and steam locomotives. The memorial day weekend celebration in 2019 was particularly exciting because it showcased the operation of the museums Shay locomotive for the first time since 1999. This was also the first time the museum had had two operating steam engines since that time and made for a fun weekend at the museum.
