@@zerowolf9491 Dragon Ball FighterZ, DNF Duel and Guilty Gear Strive all run on Unreal Engine 4, which is fully supported by the Switch. Considering that Arc System Works has ported the two games prior to Strive, it likely was an easy task but the only hard part was effects. Late port yes, but better late than never. And no, I am not a video game developer
Armchair experts, they dont even know how to write a single line of code, they dont nothing about programming and game developing, neither do i, but i dont go telling people this or that couldnt run or saying stuff like, this or that project costed x or y amount to develop, they talk like they work developing games or like they know the finances of the developers. Its annoying, everything is possible.
Gotta be real, part of me is kinda disappointed that the eagle loading screen didn't last 5 minutes like everyone was memeing about. Amazing port it looks like!
And there're still so many devs who can't manage their super simple pixel game run on Switch without dipping below 15fps.... So many bad and lazy devs out there, no wonder that it's a crisis in the gaming industry now. I'm sure of that the history will repeat on Switch 2 but dipping below 25fps instead of 15fps.
A lot of people talking about “and they said it couldn’t be done” aren’t pointing out how toned down a lot of the effects are, the switch would never be able to handle this game the way even a PS4 can. You’re sacrificing the art and stylization for portability
That’s kinda the whole point on why this is such a good port and why people are happy to see it become a reality. Tuning the game and adjusting it by toning down the textures, lighting effects, stage geometry, etc. Anything to get it to run at full 60fps at a pretty good resolution for the console. It’s never going to be exactly 1-1 with the PC or other consoles versions. I mean the whole reason why people thought it could never run on switch is because of the games plentiful effects and style, so to see it here in action running as well as it is, is nothing short of incredible. Plus even after all of the stuff they had to remove to get it to run, the games art direction does a good job in holding up well. Especially on the smaller handheld screen.
We're probably going to get more fighter passes, so the game is gonna have support for a couple years, and they probably want the game to be available for the Switch 2 .
most fighting games have a habit of not having the biggest playercounts, but those representing that minority are loyal players who still play such games to this day strive is new and still gets support, and still those loyal players yet exist
@eduardocordoba4867 Dragon Ball FighterZ had 4 years worth of content. Strive is turning 4 this year. Season 4 is most definitely the last I doubt we are getting anything past that
This port is out of any scale, how they managed to put all this stuff on my poor switch seems outragious...still at 60fps, mindvlowing, period.
This is what i ALWAYS say, "anything can run on the switch, the question is how well."
A magnificent port that many believed impossible. First time I buy something from a release
Rollback netcode ready, i bought this game as a brand new switch2 game...! I cant believe what they've done whit this port
DNF Duel has a similar art style to Strive and runs on the same engine, so it really wasn't hard for ASW to port. Late yes but better late than never
@@jasonmartinez5116 yes, but DNF Duel looks worse compared to GGS on Switch. It runs well but the graphics there are blurry.

Another game that these “experts” claim couldnt run on the Switch. I’m done listening to those clowns
Most discussion about the switch is made by clowns who think they know it all

And once again, Nintendo Switch somehow did the unthinkable: Turning the loading screen into a fast & seamless transition✨
Arc system really is the best on porting their games on switch. Sick as heck! 🔥🔥🔥

These devs put shame to Devil May Cry & Metal Gear Solid collection on Switch.
The DMC games run fine on switch. It's the MGS ports that suck
I remember playing this on my pc now I will Try it on Switch.
if this is just Switch 1, a switch 2 could legitimately be the definitive console edition.

We can smell Unity from miles away.
@@UnShreddedhas nothing to do with bad optimization. It all depends on how developers approach optimization.
Things to consider is budget and timelines for developers
I'm talking to you, Shiver Entertainment...
@OG124XI wouldn't blame Shiver considering that it's original NRS code that's unoptimized period. On top of that WB rushing things
Nice port, kinda no lag or slow down and little sacrifice on visual, more like play DB Fighter Z.
Optimized to the bone
DNF Duel Switchをプレイしてたので、驚きはありませんでした。
I just hope we also get a port of Rev 2!
When do we get tekken 8 on switch or maybe switch 2?
if GG strive can run marvelous on switch why cant the put granblue fantasy versus as well
Sony....
porting grablue fantasy versus is not a question. i want that game so bad on switch 😭 but it seems sony is gatekeeping it
👀 nice
Is there an Ai vs Ai match? I like watching ai matches to observe their move sets
It looks great.
Why is Dizzy still locked I need answers now😡
In February can be downloaded for free
Sol Badguy
How!!?
does it have crossplay though?
Not the Switch version. Who knows if there could be a Switch 2 version with cross play in the future, if it happens.
Does it have crossplay?
No, only against other Switch players. It probably would've lagged like crazy if it had crossplay
😮😮Awesome!!

It looks practically identical as the PS4 version to 90% of people
Why port it so late? Besides do people even play this? Last time I checked the player count wasn't bad but it wasn't anything impressive

Considering that Switch is technically the best-selling console (along with the PS2) it will be very useful to attract new audiences wich is perfect
