Yeah, one thing I did learn watching QSMP is that the "Spanish" I took in 10th grade was more Portuguese than Spanish... which actually explained a lot...
@youtubehandlesareannoying well I was homeschooled and while technically it wasn't *required* to take a language course taking one *supposedly* was supposed to help with eligibility for scholarships (which it didn't). This was before duolingo was a thing and the only actually good language course was Rosetta Stone which was also *VERY* expensive at the time. So my mom got me one of the ones that was included with the curriculum I was taking that, in general, was very good (apparently the language and math were the only two subjects that were iffy with it). And it did kinda work, cause apparently I am comprehensive enough in Portuguese to understand the jist of a conversation or text even if I can't speak it. Technically it is the same with Spanish but since I didn't know there was a difference and after getting laughed out of enough conversations with Hispanics and already having severe social anxiety I just gave up trying to speak any language except English. If I actually took a course know I probably would pick it up pretty quick.
