      Actually, it's not that hard to learn those languages. Despite english not being that hard, after u achieve that it's not that hard to comunicate with foreigners. If you're brazilian u understand spanish almost perfectly and Cellbit lived in Rio Grande do Sul, the extreme south of Brazil, where we have more spanish influence than the major rest of Brazil. So if he combine all that knowledge and adaptate his accent he can comunicate pretty well with those guys, specially if they speak spanish calmly and slowly (that way every brazilian will consider spanish like a different accent of portuguese, they will understand 80 to 90 percent of the conversation if u don't use slangs).

      @youtubehandlesareannoying well I was homeschooled and while technically it wasn't *required* to take a language course taking one *supposedly* was supposed to help with eligibility for scholarships (which it didn't). This was before duolingo was a thing and the only actually good language course was Rosetta Stone which was also *VERY* expensive at the time. So my mom got me one of the ones that was included with the curriculum I was taking that, in general, was very good (apparently the language and math were the only two subjects that were iffy with it). And it did kinda work, cause apparently I am comprehensive enough in Portuguese to understand the jist of a conversation or text even if I can't speak it. Technically it is the same with Spanish but since I didn't know there was a difference and after getting laughed out of enough conversations with Hispanics and already having severe social anxiety I just gave up trying to speak any language except English. If I actually took a course know I probably would pick it up pretty quick.

      @@SilverScaleMA that's so interesting, and hey, I was homeschooled too, let's go! it sucks you got laughed at, I hope you feel comfortable coming back to language learning one day, because speaking with other people isn't the end all be all imo. like I don't think I'll ever feel confident enough to speak Portuguese with anyone out loud, but I think it'll still cool to be able to understand more than one language

    • @SilverScaleMA
      @SilverScaleMA 11 месяцев назад +5

      @youtubehandlesareannoying I have been planning on at least brushing up on Spanish since where I work there are a lot of Hispanics that, while most understand English, they can't speak it. Since I am mostly the same with Spanish I actually kind of do end up as the in-between a lot of times but not being able to actually speak Spanish is a bit difficult. There are also a lot of islanders too but even they admit that trying to learn their mixes of dialects is a bit much to ask others to be fluent in so most of them do at least understand English well.

      I wasn’t homeschooled, but when I found out that we would be learning a language at school I was excited
      I was in the support unit (special needs) at school. The Other classes had the choice between French, German or Japanese. I was obsessed with Japan and already knew a little bit of German because I have family in Germany. Honestly, I would’ve been happy to take any of them, but the school decided that instead of one of the three languages that everyone else was been taught, we were going to get taught Hindi because we had two teachers who spoke it.

    Guys queria entrar em uma salas dessas para conversar e melhorar meu inglês e aprender outras línguas como japonês, alguém tem dicas pra introvertidos?
    Sempre tive certo receio de entrar nessas salas e isso ta acabando comigo...
    Ter algumas conversas, dar risadas, fazer amizades e aprender outra língua no processo parece um rolê magico vendo esses vídeos do Cellbit kkkk

      eu sou introvertida também então eu te entendo. se você descobre alguma dica, pode falar
      eu já tentei fazendo aulas no italki, mas eu desistei porque fiquei com medo e vergonha demais, então eu não posso recomendar muito. mas acho que algumas pessoas podem gostar
      acho que só observando gente falando português me ajudou, como ler o chat do cellbit na twitch
      (desculpa por qualquer erro, meu português piorou ultimamente pq não tenho tempo para praticar)

      uau seu comentário ficou bastante natural. relendo eu percebi que tem alguns erros sim, mas parecem mais com erros de digitação do que com erros mesmo. parabéns, acho que nunca tinha visto um gringo chegar nesse nível em português!@@youtubehandlesareannoying
      edit: eu percebi que você escreveu "só observando gente do chat", provavelmente porque pensou em como isso seria dito em inglês "just observing". Nesse caso seria "só observar gente no chat". Achei interessante
      edit 2: eu percebi que mesmo com a correção que eu disse a frase ainda ficou meio estranha, porque esse "só" passa a impressão de que a única coisa que você fez pra melhorar no Português foi ler o chat. Provavelmente ficaria mais natural se a frase não tivesse esse "só".

      it's a combination of the words Portuguese ("português") and Spanish ("espanhol"), just like how "Spanglish" is a combination of Spanish and English! because Spanish and Portuguese are so similar, speakers of those languages often mix the languages together while they're learning and end up speaking a combination of the two

      I translated the title to a few different languages because I thought it would make it more accessible! if it's showing up in French for you that's probably because that's the language your website is set to
