- I was lucky enough to borrow this set up from a local friend of mine to check out.
The original gun is a trued Rem700 in 308 and I have it in a Magpul Hunter stock. It has served me well but I am looking for a little something more. Something with a length of pull and cheek adjustment. I do like the feel of the Gen 5C chassis, I currently own one for my CZ455 22lr so I have a general idea how it would feel going to a center fire version.
In regards to the weight kit, I like the options I have. I can run just the barrel channel weight or add side weights. I can also run some or all of the weight if I like. Though I didn't tune the weights for a perfect balance point I'm sure that can be achieve quite easily. There are four channel weights and eight side weights ( four each side). I kit come in a nice Plano style container with all the needed hardware.
The chassis, with the tool-less feature, came in at 4 lbs 15 oz and the barrel weights added 1 lb 11 oz. Each of the side weights come in at 4.10 oz for a total of 32.8 oz or 2 lb 0.8 oz.
Once I added all the weights to the chassis and replaced the barreled action the total weapon system weighted 19 lbs 5 oz. This is a considerable increase in weight over the Magpul Hunter stock I currently own.

I was looking for a PDC custom review and this was it. Nice work. It looks incredibly well thought out
thanks for the content
I could hear 👂 you fine Guy. Nice chassis. Do you have a muzzle break on. My 6.5 I put a muzzle break on. It’s a big deference. Good video.
Any rear weight options? What does this due to the balance?
AllAhead Full I am unaware of any rear weight options at this time. I found on my set up I was able to tune the rifle to rest pretty consistent with some but no all of the weights. Each set up will vary
Why do you have your scope taped up?
Perry E this Range has a lot of metal props and I don’t want to bang up the optic. It’s a lil tacky for grip. And my fav color is black.
Hey Guy I found this grip tape at Home Depot it’s called Elk Elk Ck it out. So much savings it’s like 26 bucks. B
I had to stop watching your video's because it's impossible to hear anything your saying.
zachary battista what made it hard. Should I get a ride mic for the set up. Genuinely curious
@@AZHOTROD84 i watch at work with my cellphone so higher volume. Would be nice.
zachary battista thanks for the feedback. I’ll try to find a mic to hook up to it
