Thank you for yet another very informative video!! But you didn't mention anything about interlinking, and how we can apply such tactics for SEO. Is it safe to over-optimize keywords using targeted anchors for interlinking even when they appear to be natural across different pages of a website?
@@ajeoluwaseyimoses955 internal linking anchor text is HUGE! It matters a lot more than you think. Check Cyrus Shepards in depth internal link study he conducted.
If an EMD or PMD count as targeted anchors then how are they still able to rank #1 for their brand name? How does Google decide when the term is a brand or a keyword? If it's based on search volume or intent/behavior, does Google simply lift the filter for terms or phrases they consider to be "brands." ?
Learned a lot from this! I'm linkbuilder as my day job in the Netherlands. I share your content where ever i can! I just read an update from search engine journal about a new review update in april. Are you hot by the update? And do you know how to recover if you are hit? Would be cool if you're planning an update video about this 😁 Keep it going!❤
don't forget LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) anchor text (1-5%): These are anchor texts that use synonyms or closely related terms to your target keywords. LSI keywords help search engines understand the context and relevance of your content. Example: If your target keyword is "SEO services," an LSI anchor text could be "search engine optimization services."
Some people don't like this term. But "semantic" aside (pun intended), in practice, I definitely agree that they help. Just like you, I use surge (lsigraph) to get them and use them for anchor links.
Ok just so I know Im getting this right, if I want to rank better for a keyword like BEST COOKIE DOUGH RECIPE, I'm trying to get other websites to link back to me with that keyword is this correct.
I want to thank you for all your excellent content. I'm changing anchor text and have already seen some benefit! I have an off topic question. I've been looking all over for some information but can't find any answers. Will a link from an app help with SEO for a website? Most of the tools like ahrefs don't track apps, but my Google Search Console used to show some app links.

I was expecting this video after your last poll
For sure😂
Do random anchors from 301 redirects count in the same way, do they help diversity or not really?
Never actually single variable tested this.
Hi Matt. I have all the links on a mega menu on the topbar. Am I supposed to get penalized for the same?
Thank you for yet another very informative video!!

I don’t believe it really matters for internal links unlike offsite links
So you should overthink it & just keep things natural

@@jamesscott1711 I will check it out. I know it does matters but I believe she’s overthinking things probably that’s why she is confuse
@@ajeoluwaseyimoses955 Now, I am even more confused. I hope Matt clears this with a case study.

What about Anchor Text for internal linking?
Please make a video about inlinks anchor text ratio (or does it really matter?)
How do I manage anchor text distribution if my domain is EMD? You said that URLs are counted as Target. How do I build branded or naked links?
Replace brand with URL anchors.
What ratio should we keep in mind for Anchor Text while interlinking?

I wouldn't send "brand" anchors as a EMD PMD. Unless you count them as target.
How should distributions change if they're internal links?

Matt if I link to my Etsy shop should it be a no follow link? Not an affiliate link but like my own etsy shop
If you want to rank that Esty shop, send dofollow. Otherwise, dont.

Is this Matt's video, anchor text ratio distribution just applicable for backlinks or its also use for general internal linking within a site?
Great stuff, again. Thanks for providing this type of content. Much appreciated. Keep it up!
What if I build too many anchor base links on the brand name will it affect the home page ranking?
