Welcome back joe. Credit for continuing despite loosing progress, that is a hard hurdle for anyone to get over in a game.
Fittingly i just finished replaying the original game, still great. New pc handled it perfectly so not a single glitch or pop in issue this time (:

R.I.P replayed the main game and a reaper followed me to my base and killed my cuddlefish :-(

The mercury is a sad tale. Sadly a predictable one. It would have been interesting if they had a twist where the pilot is implied to have successfully excaped the planet. That would have a nice amiguity of being nice that someone survived but also a concern implying the khaara might have left the planet since you could have the log imply she is feeling ill as she escapes.
Have to find a story way for her to survive the quantum enforcement platform but maybe something to do with a discracting signal or another target to hit, maybe an alternative ship remotely controlled launched.
I dunno, predictability in a story has its place - particularly in tragedies. Am I right in saying that the fate of a couple of the passengers is left ambiguous? Or have I missed one more PDA...
Hmm not sure i think death is implied for all.
