- What a Week!!! We packed a Uhaul, drove 20 hours to our new home in Orlando, unloaded it, completed a ton of home projects, and still managed to go to Universal and Disney Springs. Today we are recapping that whole process and talking about what we will be up to in this new year living next to Disney World.

It’s been so fun to watch you guys moving to Orlando . We were in the house crazy buying time similar to your time frame and also bought sight unseen on the Big Island. Would love to see detailed rides video - we love Disneyworld. We are going to Disney World in September, so would love to see videos on the new genie system.

Congratulations guys! We did a similar move in July 2020 to our second favorite happy place (my hubby’s first). We are within a couple hours drive of family. That was brave enough, lol. I was great for about 6 weeks than I felt like, ok, it’s time to go home. It took a while for the new home to sink in so I did have a little homesickness but it passed. Hope the next month flys by for you all ❤️

The saying goodbye to friends and family in Missouri was by far the most difficult part for us. Still miss everyone so much but we are soo happy here next to Disney.

Congratulations on the move and best wishes in your new home. If the pandemic has taught us anything it should be that life is too short to just sit and watch it pass by, you have to grab the opportunities that come your way and as you say, ‘follow your dreams’. We’d love to be in Florida but that isn’t something we can do, as we aren’t US citizens and we don’t do the kind of work that would allow us to move from Scotland to live and work there. Outside it’s dark, the wind is howling, the rain is pouring and it’s cold, but I always enjoy the warmth of your videos and the fact that we are looking forward to February when we will be in Orlando for two weeks vacation!

We just moved down to FL a couple days ago too. So exhausting! We are waiting on our Pod delivery a couple more days so we’ve been sleeping on air mattresses too…thankfully ours isn’t leaking 😆. But 20 full hours in the car with 3 cats was quite the adventure. We’re a bit further away from Disney but we do hope to pop in 1-2 times a month to Orlando and enjoy all it has to offer.

Can you do a video or podcast on which hotels exactly get early genie or lightning lane reservation access? How to find the list. Because it’s Disney hotels plus another group, I believe. Thanks
Not sure we could get a full episode out of that, but yes anyone that has Genie+ can make a reservation at 7am. Anyone staying in a Disney Resort Collection hotel, Swan/Dolphin, or shades of green can book ILL at 7am as well.
5:52 This looks amazing! For the TV on the back porch (aka Lanai) is it a special outdoor TV designed to work with the humidity? Or just a traditional indoor TV? (Sometimes, for the price of an outdoor TV, you can use an indoor TV and just replace it every time it dies)
Just an indoor tv. Those outdoor ones are expensive. Totally agree on replacing if it dies being cheaper than getting one meant for outdoors.
