My buttons were supposed to arrive Thursday so was hoping to do it all at once! They did arrive today though, so I'll probably post some pictures of my finished Big Blue setup and the finished KI setup when they are ready. Glad you liked the video Jeff!
they finally got the 6-button spacing right. i was thinking they had been spacing the buttons out extra far for deck strength. i wonder if the deck is different material
Material feels the same and honestly, the spacing feels pretty much the same too. I'll have to play it more to figure that out. Might whip out the ruler too!
Love it! I built a replica of a midway cabinet, I think it was the same for Mortak kombat series, killer instinct etc... Made it out of MDF. the machine was done, but I had to move. The new other just had to get some art printed for it, and build a custom frame around the CRT... if it wasn't so heavy I woulda brought it with me.
Yeah, I mean honestly, I like the look of this one a little bit more than the chrome withe flush front on the pro. That's why I ended up pulling the trigger. The pro also looks really big, and the 3/4 scales are perfect for my space. I can either fit 2 pros or 4 3/4 so opted for the 4, haha. And glad you liked the video Jason!
Hey Statue Collector! Mine only makes a clicking sound at the main menu. Powering on and off I have no issue. It's just a silent toggle like the volume button on other cabs. And when I'm in game, there's no clicking or popping. So for me it's just in the main menu which is a tiny bit annoying, but sounds like I may have gotten lucky. Ran it yesterday for about 5-6 hours too and didn't notice to many of the issues others have mentioned. ***knock on wood***
hi awesome review can i ask your opinion do you think the killer instinct pro would be a better way to go for a guy that is not very good at swapping out buttons and joysticks let me know ok your opinion i watch all your reviews great work??
Swapping is super easy. So depends on budget, space, and how much you love KI. If you love KI and have the space for the pro, and you don’t mind paying a premium for better controls (would cost you about $50 to mod it yourself), I’d say go for the pro.
@@OfficeArcade the funny thing is they are louder then the ones that came on the t2 but the problem is still there. I'm going to contact arcade1up. I really appreciate the review of killer instinct I plan on picking that one up too.
@@OfficeArcade I just opened a ticket with them I will let you know what happens. thank you so much I have followed your Chanel for a while now and really injoy it.
Yeah, I mean a lot of people game on stock, but I can't stand the stock controls, plus I've just gotten super used to Sanwa parts over the past decade.
I pause at the beginning. My man's has 3 Victrix Pro FS?! NOICE! I feel bad for just having the one. I need to hit up more majors/events to buy more. lol Okay... now I'll continue the video. That right alone tells me the rest of the video is going to be good. "First impressions", am I right?!
Hahaha! You have a good eye man! Yeah dude. I love those victrix sticks. And that’s why I run the same buttons and sticks from those sticks in the cab. Have everything nice and consistent across all my arcade games!
Honestly dude, I knew I made the right call when my wife walked in and said "I actually like this one." As a set piece alone it's the best form factor A1Up has put out yet! Helps that the games are dope too!
The guy spent 500 - 700 bucks on a KI arcade machine and don't know how to play the game. Why???? It takes a long time and a lot of dedication to be decent at these kinds of fighting games.
I mean skill transfer between fighting games, especially old ones are pretty easy. The hardest I’d argue is MK with the block button because it’s mechanically different from common established patterns. But jumping between darkstalkers, street fighter, and ki is easy. Have a pretty solid Glacius in KI 1 and 2 and a solid Rash in 2013 after getting super into KI the last couple of months. Edit: actually more challenging than MK from an irregular mechanics perspective is Primal Rage. But also a great game if you learn their control scheme.
@@slimmdogg420 u prolly can’t afford it anyways since “everything is a hard pass for you…” …you’ll prolly say …”hard pass on all the arcade 1 ups, till they get the coin doors to “actually take coins” and you still say “hard pass because it don’t take Penny’s and only quarters lmao
So happy you got this cabinet!! Great review! See you online!! 🍻
I'll catch you tonight and tomorrow!
Great review. I put in my sanwa buttons as soon as I got it , my sticks come in next week .

Nice review. Hopefully by the time they do a KI2 themed cab, all these issues will be ironed out.
Haha, I'm sure they will be Feral, but I'm also sure there'll be a whole new set of issues that come with those ;).
@@OfficeArcade noooo!! Haha. I can at least dream! 😂

I mean these 3/4 cabs are a nice alternative to full size cabs. Much lighter. Good form factor for smaller spaces. I’m a huge fan of the A1Up format.
Lovely setup mate
Thank you Gebs!
Great review dude. Cab looks awesome 👍
Jason - when are you adding???
@@EmeryArcade might hold out for the pro series version of this. But this one does look great, it’s really tempting!

Sweet Goro shirt! Killer instinct is great I still play everyday on Xbox series S
Thanks Xander! Found it at PacSun! And yeah, I’m just starting to take it seriously and I love it. Reminds me of primal rage, but much better.
Look at #4 on the leaderboards at 4:52 lol. Nice review!

Does yours make a clicking sound out of the speakers when you power it off?

my t2 cab has the speaker pop I changed out the speakers with an extra pair I had from a cab I took apart it didn't help
Could be a software thing. Like in game they sound totally different for me compared to in menu.

Hello ! Does it come with an international electric adaptator ?
It does not.
Love the review but having to change the buttons and stick at that cost is too much for me

Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct without accurate Joysticks will always be a hard pass for me.
That’s why I put sanwas in mine while setting up.
Ball top is a pass for me, I guess they call what I like a bat.

That’s why I swap for Sanwas right out of the gate.
255 shipped right now :)
