The predatory nature of Fatshark is appalling. You give 1/10th content, charge through the roof for cosmetic changes then wonder why your game is 50% bots.
Speaking just for Vermintide II, this is one of the best games of all time.
Then you destroy it with pure GREED and IDIOCY.

For the 1st time player I can understand VT2 would be much more appealing. But as someone who’s played a significant amount of both, VT1 has some great stuff.
    1) the level design is really nice. Art design, atmosphere and mechanics. A bit less varied than the sequel. But the dlc really expands that with snowy Azgaraz and gothic Drachenfels. Something about the feel of 1 never quite got translated to 2.
    2) Weapon skins are better in 1. Each quality tier really looks more impressive and the reds look fantastic. Just having the orange skin with blue squiggles felt a bit boring for the reds in 2.
    3) The bounty board in the inn was great. The missions were a bit more interesting, difficult and better rewards. Building up to a piece of rare loot feels much better than a few shillings for cosmetics. I wish the second game had played more with deed modifiers and weekly loot.
    4) the core gameplay was much slower and smaller scale. On higher difficulties every rat felt threatening with no ultimates to get you out of tight spots. VT1 cata double grim felt much harder than anything from the 2nd game. VT2 difficulty leans more into quantity of enemies. It’s not an objective advantage. But it does offer something different from game 2 that appeals to different tastes.
VT2 has lots of great stuff too. Enemy variety, talents, careers, better loot, deeds, graphics.

Exactly this! Vermintide 1 has aged like fine wine. Vermintide 2 is just its flashy cousin. I mean, just look at the interface design, or how lovely the cozy inn looks compared to the keep.

After years of watching, reading and listening to high level veterans of the series, it's nice to see the game from a casual player's perspective. While I would have described some things differently (You didn't get loot for losing, you just leveled up and the first few levels unlock your arsenal n chests / higher difficulties don't unlock new enemies, they change how they spawn to provide a bigger challenge), I'd say I still liked how you phrased things. Happy to see you've been enjoying the game!

I started playing original vermintide after the second one, and it's nice lore wise through levels (plus you collect pages of game's lore on levels to then read in hub). But there're much less gameplay variety (no talents/careers), graphics are less nice and the whole loot system is really slow and grindy.
So it's a nice game to go through all the levels and read up on the game's/whole warhammer's lore through the pages you find, but in the long run vermintide 2 has much more replayability to offer. (Basically I'm saying it's still worth playing)

  • @kottadragon
    @kottadragon Год назад +39

I think the best thing 1 has going for it is the levels and atmosphere. Metal objects and surfaces in the first game are far more metallic looking and have some beautiful reflections going on. Whereas in 2, a lot of the time they end up looking like polished stone or almost like plastic. There's probably a better middle ground that could exist if you could give sharpened edges that VT1 look and the unsharpened or less polished bits like the flat of the blade the VT2 look.
The lighting itself also looks better. It's overall darker while sources of light, like torches or the moon's glow, are far more noticeable and striking. It really fits the setting and helps to hammer home a sense of how dire the situation is, darting from torches to the shadow of a burning building cast against a black night as you cleave through the skaven lurking in the shadows. Very atmospheric, and more importantly, very immersive.
As for the levels themselves, it's a tough call. VT2's got more variety, as pointed out the video, but a lot of the missions in one are very interesting and gorgeous. A lot of people love the Karak Azgaraz maps, with good reason, the Wizard's Tower is a fan favorite, and personally speaking, the Horn of Magnus is one of my favorite maps in both games. The Nurgle aesthetic in 2 can also become a quite repetitive formula: mulched corpses, flesh roots, dirty water, and a green filter over everything. It's intentionally ugly, which isn't a bad thing, but does make a lot of Nurgle maps blend together.
There's also an argument to be made that Kerillian got a bit Flanderized in the second game. In 1, Kerillian is a far more somber character. She still snaps at the others, but she's usually more remorseful about it and is willing to open up to the rest of the Ubersreik 5 as they do so in turn, giving a growing sense of comradery. However, in 2, Kerillian's general attitude comes across as far more bitter and spiteful. This could come from failure at Ubersreik, but the way she goes about it is far more frequent and personal.
However, with all that said, everybody can agree on why so many people end up coming back to the sequel. Combat is the bread and butter of Vermintide, and it shines the best in 2. Everything's got a slightly smoother feel to it, there's more dismemberment, there's more enemy variety, and the careers for all the characters help to switch up your playstyle and the flow of combat once you start to fall into a rut.

    • @sulphuric_glue4468
      @sulphuric_glue4468 Год назад +6

As far as Kerillian goes - there's a few things going on with her which can explain her more overt snark in the second game (I don't have much experience with VT1 Kerillian but I know more or less how she behaved).
Firstly, and most simply, it's possible she became more personal simply because she knows the others better, as a result of spending so much time with them, and is more able to get personal about it. It's also possible that she knows by now the others won't actually get seriously hurt by her insults because they understand that's just how the elf is.
Secondly, to me it always seemed obvious that Kerillian's snark is a facade of meanness to hide the fact that she doesn't want to admit she actually likes these lumberfoots a lot and considers them friends. The dialogue makes clear that Kerillian has ample opportunity to leave, but she makes up rather flimsy excuses for why she sticks around with people she claims she doesn't like. As she gets closer with the others, her bad attitude grows to compensate - but she still does occasionally open up to them and have genuine conversations, saying that doesn't happen is just ignoring a lot of dialogue.
As for why she doesn't want to admit they are her friends, the simplest explanation is just that it wounds a Wood Elf's pride to do so, especially when it comes to a dwarf. It may also be that Kerillian doesn't want to become attached to people who will die long before she will - after all she constantly reminds the others of how short their lives are compared to hers, calling them "mayflies".
However, it's also clear from the Drachenfels dialogue that Kerillian feels extremely guilty about having a hand in causing the destruction of Ubersreik. I got the sense that Kerillian may feel like she doesn't deserve to be friends with the others, or may feel like she doesn't deserve friends in general. If the others ever found out, they would feel far less betrayed about the rude elf doing it than if it were a close friend.

I have around 450 hrs in V2 and around 500 in V1, as I always return to the latter and ultimately prefer it. The aesthetics and atmosphere of V1 is much different, being a darker and much creepier game. Visually it's great, whereas V2 is too bright and often seems to suffer weird lighting issues. However, it's the gameplay in V1 that I prefer. You'll notice that weapons are slower in V1 compared to V2. That is because the challenge of the higher difficulties in V2 are artificial: it simply increases health, damage and amount of enemies. On the higher challenges in V1, the enemies are much fewer in number, but they are none the less dangerous. You can struggle with fighting 2 clanrats, and Stormvermin instakill you. It feels grittier and realistic. You have to manage every swing and time every strike. It feels like you're duelling the enemy, whereas V2 doesn't need much more than rapidly pressing M1. The weapon speed was sped up to compensate for the higher amount of enemies. V2 is Spamtide.
I had high hopes that Darktide would be more like V1, where the most interesting fights are duel-style engagements with skilled and dangerous enemies like the Traitor Guardsmen. This does occur, especially with some elites like the Scab Bombers or Snipers. But on the higher difficulties, there's definitely a spam problem, where you can find yourself exterminating two groups(20 men) of soldiers by yourself within the span of a minute. It feels less impactful.
I went back and played a bit of L4D2 recently and noticed that even on the higher difficulties, there aren't that many zombies. They are just tougher and hit harder. But i'm much less experienced in that series.
The class system, crafting, and loot in V2 is naturally superior to V1, but that's because it's an evolution that required years of testing and feedback. The loot system and crafting in V2 was dogshit at launch, and it is still frustrating having to sit there and press a button to get the right traits for your new weapon. It's better, but not perfect, and it came from somewhere.
I like all of the Tide-games but out of the Vermintides I prefer the first.

Regarding levels: I like the V1 maps more. They are more atmospheric and I just think most of them are better, cooler, more interesting. I'll include DLC maps. Horn of Magnus(Horny Magnus) is legendary. The visuals, objectives, variety and verticality makes it the best map Fatshark have ever made IMO. Wizard's Tower is an incredibly creative and weird map which they sadly didn't remake. Despite all being set in cities or sewers, all of the base game maps feel unique, special and atmospheric. The Dwarven DLC maps(Khazid Kro) are beautiful and probably my favorites. The River on the Reik maps are just as fun and creative.

Much as I may prefer V1 over V2, the concept of V1's higher difficulty being any different from V2 is just ridiculous. The only reason they didn't drown you in enemies was that the game would crack in half and there wasn't enough stagger to go around. Cata scaling was literally just numbers, while V2 at least adds elites to hordes. It's rose tinted glasses to pretend like there was some drastic shift from game to game - had shatfark had the tech to drown you in rats in V1, they would have

As for vt1 difficulty, the starting gear on hard difficulty usually takes the same hits to kill as orange / red gear on cataclysm, so it really is mostly about player knowledge and skill.
Yeah, you can get healing on your sword, but the rats on hard hit for about half the damage, and you have 50% more hp than on cata.

This is what completely threw me off 2, you can't just play on harder difficulty because you're a better player, you need to level up your character which takes hours and hours and need to grind bigger power, because guess what if you don't have a bigger power number you actively hit less enemies, what a dumb system...

In my opinion the loot issue stems from people expecting a borderlands style game. It is not. People play for a few hours, and then leave once the numbers stop getting higher and the loot becomes stale, thinking they experienced the whole game, when they barely brushed the surface.
This is a game about getting better in terms of player knowledge and skill, not numbers on items.
There is more loot in vt2, but most of it is absolutely useless once you actually reach level 35. In vt1 the red items are more of a status sign, with most of them being inferior, or sometimes equal to a perfect orange item (there are a few exceptions to this). In vt2 reds are just a numeric upgrade over oranges most of the time.

  • @nickflig
    @nickflig Год назад +16

I love Vermintide 1 for a lot of reasons such as the atmosphere, setting, and good levels. But combat is what keeps me playing Vermintide, it is fun to bonk said vermin - and Vermintide 2's combat is just far superior in my opinion. It's why I'd fairly consistently choose Vermintide 2 over Vermintide 1. While weapon traits were more interesting in Vermintide 1, Vermintide 2's weapon variety, careers, talents, and enemy variety make for a much more varied gameplay experience. So I totally agree with your end conclusion that Vermintide 2 is the better game.
    However, there are some tidbits I want to address at risk of sounding like a total "um ackshually" guy. I feel it's a reviewer's responsibility to fact check claims, though I apologise for sperging out enormously about that. I normally wouldn't, but I'm sick in bed and feeling like a neurotic asshole ;_;
I suppose you could correct in the follow-up video if you want?.
1:48 What about... the Stromdorf boss? The DLC in Verm 1 have some of the best and worst maps in Vermintide. Would be keen to see your opinion on the DLC stuff if you do get around to it, especially some of the horrific stuff like Summoner's Peak and the gold that is River Reik.
4:21 You can get loot for a specific character in Vermintide 1 by equipping the corresponding pink trinket. At this point you also say how dull it is to receive a sword you already have in Vermintide 1 while saying VT2's is so much better. The endgame loot in VT2 is REALLY bad. You get the same things over and over and over again like you wouldn't believe, trying to attain a red-quality weapon you don't have yet, only to get 1000 trash oranges and your 15th of the same damn red you already own. It's absolutely insane because the devs added a system in Vermintide 1 that prevents you from getting duplicate reds, so it regressed.
5:15 You say that, unlike in Vermintide 1, you get loot for losing in Vermintide 2. In both games you receive XP, and in both games levelling up comes with loot. Though you explicitly say that to be a difference, and that the XP in Vermintide 1 doesn't do anything besides the features the hub (which you call needlessly obtuse, even though it is present in Vermintide 2? But I don't think that's the care for Okri's challenges specifically, so fair) . Also worth mentioning that in Vermintide 2, levelling up grants you a chest of 3 items, which could be weapons or trinkets, which is definitely *more*. My bad opinion though is that Vermintide 2's loot means so much less because you get tonnes upon tonnes of rubbish loot that has no use besides being discarded, whereas Vermintide 1... I remember getting my first blue, how shiny it was (especially when Vermintide 2's weapons look like they're made from scratched stone), how cool it was to activate the trait. The weapon traits in VTW are definitely more interesting.
You also say at the beginning of the combat section that the combat is largely the same, which... for people viewing, it would look really similar, but it isn't. There's a lot more to Vermintide 2's combat, a lot of additional mechanics, that make it much better. There's far more enemy density, slower weapons with more cleave have more utility, ranged weapons are more powerful and thus satisfying (which you cover). It's years of updates and rebalances to weapons and enemies. The core looks the same, but the games feel very different with any moderate amount of experience, though definitely very similar at the core.
6:12 You mention that charged attacked are used to release a more devastating attack, but that isn't technically true and brushes over a cool part of combat. Charged attacks are a different attack for a different purpose, and part of a different moveset. For example, the dwarf's 2H hammer first light attack does MORE damage in a vertical swing that's easy to hit enemy heads with, making it to even more damage. The first charged attack is a horizontal swing for knocking over unarmoured infantry hordes. Different purposes. You often need combine these on more complex weapons to create effective combos for whatever purpose, e.g. the best horde combo for Saltzpyre's 2H hammer is charged, charged, light, and repeat to maximise horizontal swings to clear basic hordes. At 7:11 charged attacks would have given you less-lethal but better horde-handling horizontal swings, for example. Also worth noting that in Vermintide 2, ALL weapons now have a push attack (only a select few in VT1 had that), and more weapons have a special attack. It adds much more variety and utility to weapons.
Damn, if you actually read all this... thank you, and sorry.

I would like to say something about getting tonnes of trash loot:
The reason for that is to give you materials for the crafting system, as the only way to get them is by breaking down weapons you need a constant supply.
I engage with this system heavlly and I actually have a hard time getting all the materials I need, so for me this loot spam is quite appreceated.
Also you can break down reds you don't use into red powder which you use to upgrade an orange into a red.

A very good review and nice to have a prospective that isn't from someone who had played both to utter death like I have. I grew up loving Warhammer and the Vermintide series is the best I've seen bringing it to life from a ground up prospective.
I picked up Vermintide 1 in 2017, after lots of the initial issues had been ironed out and the DLCs had started to flow and fell in love with it and had over 900 hours in it, was playing on Cataclysm, have vast stockpiles of loot etc. Some of this was with friends but this was also when the VT1 playerbase still had lots of players.
Going to VT2 from top tier VT1 was a nice reset but felt like the grind to item power 300 and leveling system to 30 was arbitrarily gating you from high level play which was somewhat annoying. In VT1 we managed to drag a friend through some early a few levels and they got some top gear far quicker than the 50 hours it takes to get to full max in VT2.
One thing you missed from just playing the base game of VT1 was that the later DLC had some very ambitious ideas that weren't really revisited. This included the first proper Skaven Warlord boss with phases (I think the same model as the one in VT2 Into the Rest) also a level where you get on a ship and fight off skaven boarding actions. Likewise the Dwarf levels are beautiful. VT2 also had some fantastic levels but they ended up being a bit more uniform and formulaic than some of the batshit stuff VT1 experimented with.
Likewise, I very much agree that VT2 is FAR better at giving you loot and letting you craft a particular weapon than VT1 was for a new player in the crucial first hours.
But at the other end when you're playing about with top tier items, I found the Vermintide 1 system of orange weapons having 3 special powers to be more interesting than Vermintide 2 having 2 % number and one special power... which if you had a melee weapon was almost certainly should be "Swift Slayer" which makes you attack faster after a critical hit.
In VT1 the shrine lets you reroll special weapon powers but you can choose to keep your old result, likewise try to increase the % chance of activation but it never gets worse. Whilst in VT2 you have to accept your reroll
And the Red Weapons in Vermintide 1 sometimes have unique weapon power combinations that make them special. Whilst in VT2 they are the same as a very lucky roll on a Orange weapon.
The weekly contracts in VT1 let you work towards a weekly contract for a red weapon when they turn up (which is normally once/week), whilst it's always blind luck from a high level chest in VT2.
But this is the whining from someone who has spent far too many hours in a game they are obsessed with.
As it is, I have some gripes but I have over a thousand hours in VT2 and had a load of other friends start playing at the start of 2021 and helping them learn to play the game was alot of fun. I love the Tide series despite it's occasional spaghetti code and load bearing bugs. Even with the premature release of Darktide.

Great video! I love both games to death, but I agree with a lot of what you said, especially concerning the improved loot and crafting system. I would personally include two more points that make V2 an improvement on V1.
    1) the fact that V1 doesnt have bot priority settings for solo play without needing a mod. Vanilla solo play in V1 doesn't allow you to play with bot-Victor at all and you can't have Victor and Sienna on the same team. This was really frustrating to me and a massive oversight by FatShark.
    2) totally personal bias but no setting for turning off the "blood splatter on screen" effect in V1.
That being said, some folks hated it, but I really do miss the lorebook page collecting from the first game. The paintings are cool, but it would be awesome if they could somehow port the lorebook system from V1 into V2 as an additional collect-a-thon to the painting system. I need to go back to V1 and finish the book one of these days lol.

the window you played Vermintide 2 in (same for me, I was new with the free release, never played vermintide 1) had double xp, leveling now takes quite a bit longer. Difficulty does not increase the amount of xp you recieve which imo is bad. (Darktide fixed this)
On the loot side of things, you say you recieve loot every game, which is actually false, because of the double xp you basically got a increase in your character level thus giving you loot. To get more loot after level 35 you will need to get the same amount of xp as it was from 34 to 35. (goes infinite, since every 'levelup' will be a new lootstash. Another great way to get loot is to check the Ostrika(?) and do the challenges. e.g. dodge a hookrat - dodge a leech's projectile
thing that ties in with the next point is how loot works The first difficult can only give loot to power 100 and subsequent difficulties will ALL give loot till max power of 300. (more power = more dmg - cleave - stagger) And higher difficulty could be accomplished with lower level/gear since weapon behaviour is almost always the same and will excell at a certain thing. e.g. krubers handgun sniping specials. But I would have to agree with getting higher gear/level though.
overal great video, idk love reviews seeing how other peoples views stack up against mine. And I found it interesting to see how Vermintide 1 stacks up against 2. Vermintide 1 the characters have this weird gloss over them which make them look kinda plasticy. By the looks of it, hordes are more cohesive in vermintide 2 allowing for better horde control, in 1 from the footage I saw they look to spread out more. So 2 alhough technically more chaotic with the amount of enemies is more manageable.
(and, backseat gamer moment, headshots are amazing in terms of dmg increase, and for some enemies you have to attack the head. In the castle, to the left there's a courtyard with dummies to test damage, in you look behind the regular dummy up the stairs are armored, so you can test what weapons can and cannot regularly do dmg against armored/shielded enemies. And one final secret, try getting behind the bookshelf of the shopsalesman, forgot his name, the cosmetic/daily rewards guy)

In V2, higher difficulties used to give more XP. Or rather lower difficulties gave less. They made all difficulties give same XP (upped to what you used to get on legend etc) so it's easier for new players to catch up since skill unlocks are more of an barrier of entry then progression. You want all your skills as soon as possible.

One thing I thought you'd touch on in the Sound Design section is how well they differentiated Special enemy types like Ratlings, Assassins and so on, they all have distinct audio cues as well as character call outs so you know they're coming while in a horde and/or boss fight. Would love to see you get deeper into the game and try out Legend difficulty. If you liked this, then you'll probably like Darktide as well. Cool to hear a newcomer's thoughts on the series, Vermintide 2 holds a special place in my heart and always will.

I still can't believe how hard Fatshark dropped the ball with the back to ubersreik dlc. Rather than bringing back all the maps from the first game, which they could have done, they brought back 3 maps, and not particularly good ones either besides Horn of Magnus. So many good Vermintide 1 maps that we'll never get to play outside Vermintide 1. It's sad honestly, especially because they had a different design philosophy than the Vermintide 2 maps which would have made for a nice change in gameplay

    Fair enough, some thoughts:
    1. Some people prefers V1's grittiness as it captures the "grimdark" concept that Warhammer is famous for. In V1 the characters fight like survivors, in VT2 they fight like demi-gods. Graphically VT2 appears more colourful and hopeful, which is at odds which the events taking place just before and during the end times of the fantasy setting.
    2. I actually find some guns sounds better in VT1 than VT2, by simply sounding louder and more "punchy".
    3. There's another attack type in VT2 called block attack, hold block and then do and attack. It is different from any of your other attacks, but it costs stamina.

Ive been having SO much fun playing V2. I was kind of board of videogames for a while, I had tried V2 at some point and owned it but as a noob to it It felt overwhelming / hard so never touched it again. then this month I finally picked it up again and played through a couple levels as necromancer and had a blast, in a week I have gotten my necro to level 32.
As a casual player though I will say the game has a few things that usually make me stop or get bored playing it. The levels are really long if you're either underpowered for the difficulty OR if you're trying to find tomes and grimoires without guides. I usually only play 2 games before I stop playing (it does get a BIT repetitive, it's definitely 100x better with friends).
I've also had numerous games where I died or the game glitched or I fell off a cliff and dying w/o my character hanging on the ledge. I understand the dying normally because you messed up or were underpowered, but dying due to terrible bots, from accidentally falling off the edge, or losing all progress due to game crashing sucks. spent 20-45min playing through a level and have nothing to show for it (except for going up like half a level, but when my game crashed I gained NOTHING. it literally happened at the portal stone at the end of the level ;-;). The speed at which you get crates even with objectives / quests and leveling up feels super slow in veteran difficulty so getting grimoires and tomes is mandatory, It feels hard to judge if im ready to gup to the higher difficulties past veteran. I did use crafting extensively to try to speed up leveling up my character faster, but now I'm low on materials (whoopsies) and am now at a slow point of leveling up my characters power that just feels like such a slow crawl forward. it's a bit disheartening having so little progress after hours of gameplay and completing levels.

But if I’m being honest, the other DLC are mid at best. The only nice thing is you can get the Cataclysm difficulty with Winds of Magic and then after defeating all bosses. Vermintide 2 is easily an S tier game for me, the melee combat and characters are fantastic and have made me laugh multiple times. great review

Like besides the target dummies V2 really doesn’t utilize that massive amount of space super well and I really do miss the coziness of the inn as opposed to the empty, cold-feeling, grey stone space of the keep.
Also I wish they would port over Wizards Tower to 2. That’s one of my favorite maps ever!

I can point out some problems with the gameplay loop but for the most part its just a very good game.
The problem I have with them is the devs' hilariously scummy monetization policies, you have endless amounts of shitty cosmetics to buy yet they also lock entire campaigns (some of which arent even worth it for the price) and classes behind paywalls.
Darktide also looks a colossal disappointment from what I've seen, looks like a reskin of Vermintide and not at all the much more "ranged focused" game I wanted it to be. The progression system in that game also looks absolutely horrific with progression having to be re-started for every single character and all the loot being obtained from an RNG shop with currency you earn from RNG objectives which require you to play specific missions even though the missions themselves are also RNG...

  • @VRichardsn
    @VRichardsn 5 месяцев назад

    1:00
I wholeheartedly disagree. Good weapons being scarce in Vermintide I is what made the game better. When you actually got one, it felt really special. In Vermintide 2, it is the opposite. You are flooded with items. And when it is easy to obtain, it loses its value.
    1:20
You can win in Nightmare difficulty using white weapons, it is not a question of loot. Dodge and block, and you now have 90% better chances.
    8:00
Weapons in Vermintide I had exact damage parameters, so you could always predict how much hits to kill you would need. Vermintide 2s byzantine game damage mechanics are a big step down. Also, don't use the repeater pistol, it sucks.
    10:00
Sound is worse; there are less voice lines (for example, in V1 characters mock each other when they get grabbed) and the weapons sounds when hitting flesh are less meaty. I can understand this last part being a personal preference, though.
    12:00
Not just city streets and sewers, there is also a magical tower, a farm map, a forest map. But yeah, Vermintide 2 has bigger variety. They are also more detailed.
    13:00
The graphics in Vermintide 2 seems like someone botched something along the line. Notice how you have to have ridiulously high gamma to even see something? And as a result everyting looks washed out, except the dark parts, which look pitch black (look at Victor's clothes, for example). Vermintide 1 doesn't have that problem. Granted, when it works, the lighting in 2 is fantastic... but it usually doesn't.
    14:00
This might be a personal preference, but the interface in 2 is waaaaaay worse. One of the biggest let downs for me, in fact. In 1, everything was simple and acceesible with a single click, and the _art of the interface_ was also fantastic, downright to the smallest little button. 2s interface is not only more complex, but also way uglier.

On certain technical aspects maybe, the vibe and atmosphere of the 1st game were more Warhammer Fantasy(Hopeless beautiful rich fantasy setting but bleak af since there's always mass violence and death, characters are aware of where they at) than Vermintide 2 which is very 'End Times' nonsense where everyone thinks they're the main character, like all the heroes suddenly behaving like narcissistic teenagers(Kerillian was arrogant but enigmatic in VT1, she didn't even qualify back then, now she's just an annoying brat like the rest of the squad with their absurdly Marvel Superhero cocky and out of place bravado)
Vermintide 1 felt like a hopeless world full of mystique, a true Warhammer fantasy vibe piece, Vermintide 2 is just way too End Times(Bad writting that tried to justify AOS birth, nothing wrong with AOS, just... The End Times)
