I finally finished this! Sorry for the long wait, I worked extra hard on this one. This game is awesome, buggy as hell sometimes but it's still awesome. I want to say thank you to all my buddies that played this with me and my wife for her help with photoshop. Much love to all my subscribers, y'all are great and I truly appreciate all of you so much. I hope you enjoyed the video and have yourself a wonderful day. Игры
This dude stabbed a pox hound with an auspex repeatedly. Well done.
There is nothing that i don't agree with here, personally i got it for free on xbox game pass. I will get it on steam when it actually feels finished since i love vermintide 2 so much. Man, your channel feels way to underrated to me. Just everything about it from the edeting and your well thought out points, kept me entertained throughout the entire video!
Hey thank you so much, that truly means the world to me ❤️ seriously such kind words, it's comments like this that make all the hard work worth it 😊 thank you so much
Just found out your channel and i really enjoy your style of commentary so i was wondering if you plan on doing more videos since this one is 5 months old ?
Underrated channel! Thanks for the awesome vid!!
Great work on the vid, keep it up! If you enjoy the tank aspect of the game, can't recommend playing Zealot with the knife for max stabbing action. I had a blast!
Thank you! Haha I started a Zealot and I am absolutely loving it!
Great review and great video! I can really tell how much work went into making this video and I think it was worth the wait to get it so well made. And I love the hand drawn thumbnail!
An honest review like this is very rare in YT. Most are sponsored videos so they don't shine light on the downsides of this game
Thank you! I want to always make sure my reviews are honest and as unbiased as possible, thank you for noticing ❤️
Sprint is VITAL for darktide's higher difficulties, because there are so many ranged enemies that prefer taking cover, you often need to sprint to cover or sprint + slide to dodge their incoming fire to close into melee range. Thus forcing the ranged enemies to switch to melee which lets you block, dodge, stagger, and chop them.
But the gear grind for perks and blessings does get distracting from the gameplay loop, its a bummer when most of the crafting is kept under "coming soon" and your gear could get fixed with whatever is being locked away for later. Someone making decisions for darktide knows the game's not finished and they are gating some of the content to incentivize players to return.
Ok, this actually looks like a fun game.
As a fan of Vermintide, I really hope they make the game have mechanics more like Warframe. The resource gathering is abysmal and can only hope they add missions later on where you get resources from enemy kills on never ending wave missions for example. I know the game just came out but there's so much they CAN do that I hope to God they do. The crafting not being implemented is pretty annoying tbh but whatever.
I've been playing a lot and it's definitely fun but you are right It seems like there is so much more they can add. Being a follower of the 40k lore there are so many enemies it can add variety. As for characters we could see some more soon too. Can't wait to see where this game goes
Same, I really can't wait to see what this game looks like in about a years time, I'm hoping it'll be as robust as Vermintide 2. And yessss! I'm not super knowledgeable on the 40k universe but I know there are so many more enemy types that I would absolutely love to see in Darktide :) anyway thanks for the comment!
If I take this as a 40k version of L4D2 then I can actually live with how it is right now glitches not included.
But the moment I think of VT2 I am so confused where all that potential and talent went like I wish it was easy for them to add a 24 pve defense mode with a 100 waves instead of us having to wait 8 years for something
I think the title of this video is exactly how I feel about the game. It is really fun to play and I have not regretted buying it but it would be a lot better with all the features in the game that we are still waiting on and for there to be a bit more to do. If they really put work into this game this could end up being amazing its just sad we will have to wait to see the direction they decide to take it.
Couldn't agree more, I'm excited to see where Darktide ends up, hopefully we don't have to wait too long haha
Still love DT and it's in a better state now after five months but still feels quite barebones with some very confusing design choices given what Fatshark should have learnt from Vermintide 1 and 2.
It had already been delayed lots but then Fatshark obviously locked themselves into the November release with marketing and promotional tie in (like with Geforce cards) when they really should have just delayed it again as they squandered what could have been an amazing launch, and it's sad.
Into a bit more tinfoil hat time, from the dev blog posts it sounds like they had more ambitious plans for how careers, levels and weapon modifications worked that they scrapped a few months earlier to meet the release gate which is why.
The impression I got was that originally the idea was the levels were semi-procedurally generated based "map tiles" on the five zones ("The Hourglass" Freight Port, "Chasm Terminus" Transit Hub, "Metalfab 36" Manufactory and Habzones "The Torrent" and "Throneside") and seven missions types.
But it seems they couldn't get them to work so they instead made 13 (now 14 and soon 15) levels using these four tiles, that sometimes reuse the same area from different directions but this makes it feel like it loses some of the soul and charm from the levels in Vermintide 1 and 2 which had far clearer identities.
Likewise they had grander ideas for mixing how your Archetype, class and weapons tied together but they ended up dumping this so we ended up with just the Vermtintide 2 talents turned sideways and with 4 archetype with 1 class each rather than the 5 characters with 3 careers at the start of Vermintide 2.
I miss the Ubersreik 5 but I'm not against what FS tried to do with custom characters to allow mixed class. It's really odd that you can't even see your character's backstory just written down after you finish the creation.
The story I think actually starts pretty well with the intro cinematic, prologue and even the little training with the creepy psyker and then utterly evaporates, except for a few environmental storytelling clues during the mission and some mid=mission dialogue.
As an aside the Assassination targets have randomly generated names. So in theory they're different enemy officers every time
BUT there is a big bad. "Captain Wolfer" who is the guy the Traitor Guardmen attack the prison ship to release in the Prologue but you only get his name if you have the subtitles on and... we never see him again after the first few minutes. A one off assassination mission that unlocks when you hit lv30 which just has his name and a few tailored bits of dialogue where he taunts you to come to join him during the fight would have been *something*
Love your review mate, good job. Subbed :)
Hey thank you so much! I really appreciate that! You rock :)
Good stuff, but you really need a pop filter for your mic my man. It makes it much harder to listen to when every "p" is popping out the mic right in my ears.
Hey! I am so sorry, I totally understand, I tried everything I could to get em to go away but alas I was not successful. Anyway, I'm working on getting myself a much better mic setup so hopefully this problem will cease. Thank you for your comment, view, and feedback, I truly appreciate it so much :)
@@urimoro4648 No worries man, as a former content creator- I get it. The mic itself seemed fine, just a simple pop filter to clip on the mic should fix you up. It's basically just the air from when someone uses a "p" sound impacting the mic and causing that percussive spike, so the filter catches that. You can get a decent one for $15-30 easily. I personally used the Auphonix one, which is currently going $13 on Amazon.
how is it that at 0:22 he shoots twice and doesn't consume ammo? I wanna know so i can do that too
In the tutorial segment you just have infinite ammo. I had it in prologue too.
So is this not on console
The Lasgun is the best!
Honestly I probably just need to spend more time with it, they're good weapons for sure just didn't click with me right away, but I'll give em some more love and see if I can change my opinion on em haha :)
The story is chaos is on the planet, which is all the stuff you're fighting and you have to get rid of it. kinda sucks they just made them into zombies though
Make sure to do your due diligence for the emperor and vote kick cash shop heroes from your groups.
toxic lol. getting mad over cosmetics XD
@@Garviel_ it's a boycott of how cash shop was implemented instead of beta game state. We need something to do instead of logging on seeing no weapons we want, viewing missions with modifiers that are not that much fun or not having to craft our own missions, and the obvious missing content that's not related to crafting (as far as anyone knows) and this also includes paid and unpaid skin
