  • This is my best wine making recipe so I decided to make a step by step video showing how I do it. I like it equally or better than any store bought wine I have tried. If you try making your own batch using this recipe then let me know how it turns out.

    I’ve made this wine a couple of times, it turns out fantastic. I’ve added ginger, cinnamon and orange (with peel) in mine. Tastes wonderful.

    Trying for first time, need to get jug, bubler, SS funnel, one step and yeast nutrients first. Live in Panama, p plenty of fresh harvested flowers, so will not be using the dried ones

      The first time I made it was in a gallon jar using bread yeast. Not great, but still good. Drank it all. These flowers are usually used to make a cool aid style soft drink. It's very good. If you are familiar with that then, instead of drinking it, add some yeast and let it ferment. I'd like to know what you think when you finish it.

      Did you try it the way I described? It is good. I am trying to imagine it with lemon or orange in it and it does not seem appealing to me. If you do try then let me know how it turns out.

    Can this wine be kept on a shelf.i don't have that much room in my fridge.lol

    • @nunapitchuk

      I think so. In a dark & cool spot. I have an extra fridge in the garage so I keep it there. Whenever I move a bottle to the house fridge it seems to vanish fast, sometimes before I even get any.

    You have to wash the sorril before you cook it with ginger all so strain it before you put the suger in all so

    • @nunapitchuk
      @nunapitchuk  2 года назад

      I wouldn't want any ginger flavor in mine. Washing would be difficult. Maybe get the dust off. Not really necessary because of the high cooking temperature. I don't bother with straining it before adding sugar, but it wouldn't hurt anything.

      I usually get about 3 1/2 gallons. So closer to 12 or 13 liters. You can use different amounts of water, but the amount of sugar relative to the amount of water is important.

      I can whenever I want, but I don't really enjoy being drunk so I usually only drink enough to get buzzed on rare occasions. The alcohol content is around 12 to 14 percent.
