    Amazing video. The water looks so clean and clear. I feel nervous watching you guys swimming besides the big 🐟 , afraid one of you get swallowed up and spit out 😅. Footages of sardines are mind-blowing, I watched it twice.
    Glad for you that you had another great journey 👍

      🙏 Glad you enjoyed it. It is definitely worth it to go there even if one doesn’t dive! There are actually non-diving liveaboards too.

      I I’m a padi open water diver, and I love diving but I only have 8 dives and I’ve heard that it’s pretty extreme diving in the Galapagos? Are there dive sites that has milder currents and easier dives? Or is it a good idea to go and be advanced before going? :))

    • @KSFDiver
      @KSFDiver  Год назад +1

      I suggest you go to Galápagos when you are an advanced diver (i.e., have at least 60-75 dives with PADI Drift Certification). The best dive sites are at Wolf and Darwin Islands (where you will see whale shark, schools of hammerhead, etc.) and there are mild to strong currents at both islands. FYI, the chances of seeing whale sharks are much better in Aug/Sep when the water is colder (you will have to dive with 7mm wetsuit). Lastly, Quito (Ecuador Capital City) is very nice and you may want to stay there couple of nights before or after diving at Galápagos to see Quito Old Town, Middle of Earth, etc.

      Thank you very much. Great information. I can’t wait to go! I will have to get more experience then. 😁

    Wold is my favorite dive site in the world. I dove here this year and we encountered a gigantic school with a hundred of hammerheads
    Incredible.
    Did you dive in Gordon Rocks too ?

    • @KSFDiver
      @KSFDiver  10 месяцев назад

      Wolf and Darwin are the best dive sites. That is where we saw 2 whale sharks. No, we didn't dive at Gordon Rock.

      I took 5mm and 7mm with me. The water temperature changes throughout the trip. I used 5mm the first 4 days and 7mm the last 2 days. Some people used 7mm for the entire trip. Hope that helps.

    holy shit 3 million sardines

    • @KSFDiver
      @KSFDiver  2 месяца назад

      😂Yes, it felt like 3 millions or even more! You couldn’t see the end of it! It was pitch black under them. This was the biggest school of fish that I have ever seen. This dive site was one of my favourite site in addition to Darwin/Wolf dive sites.
      Cheers

    What month did you go I would like to go with the best chance to see lots of whale sharks/hammerheads

    • @KSFDiver
      @KSFDiver  7 месяцев назад

      I went in August 2023. We saw 2 whale sharks. Nothing is normal these days when it comes to predicting marine life movements due to climate changes. I dove with a 5mm wetsuit for the entire trip since it was warmer than usual by 8 degrees! I am just going back home from Socorro island and will be posting my footage for this trip in a month. You should put Socorro on your bucket list as well.

    • @KSFDiver
      @KSFDiver  Год назад +1

      It was very warm in day time (in mid 30s) but it cooled down at night (i.e., low 20s).

      @@KSFDiver I arrive there Sat 9/9/23 - what is water temp?

    • @KSFDiver
      @KSFDiver  Год назад +2

      When I was there, the water temperature was from 68 to 80 deg.! It was warmer than normal by 5-8 deg. according to our dive guides. I was lucky since I took both of my 5mm and 7mm wetsuits with me. I dove 4 days with 5mm and 2 days with 7mm. Hope that helps.

    • @torachen8006
      @torachen8006 Год назад +1

      @@KSFDiver thank you. I just got back a week ago indeed the water temperature was very warm. The guide said usually in august Darwin/wolf are around 22 degrees but this year was 27 degrees.

    • @torachen8006
      @torachen8006 Год назад +1

      @@toddcospelich6381 Darwin wolf are warm. But the rest are cold. But usually there are 7mm to be rent at boat so you’ll be fine
