Hey Greta, it is good to hear that the perennial garlic keeps out grass. I have been having a problem with grass. The onions and the garlic look beautiful on the wall. I hope I am able to get the garlic, more so because it keeps expanding. It was a pleasure to watch. Happy garden.🌲🌴🍀☘🌿💚
I love seeing perennial garlic and tri cornered leeks in the UK. We sadly have few perennial veg here but we can try always from seed. Blue skies there look amazing Greta, it’s pouring here and I’m not complaining it’s much needed. Have a wonderful weekend hope the storms in the US pass by you, Ali 🌧️🌧️🇨🇦
Hello Jane, hope all is wonderful. The only problem I have with perennials is I never seem to get at all the weeds year after year. I had to re dig all my Egyptian Walking Onions last year as they were becoming a field. 🤪🙃
That is going to be interesting to watch Greta. I think we may be on the same schedule except 180 degrees off. I just pulled up all my garlic today that I planted in December.
Hello Sandra! I never get mould. I fully cure my garlic for 3 to 4 weeks, and harvest at exactly 3 dead leaves from bottom. This ensures music garlic can store perfectly for over a year. Garlic likes ambient room temperature with controlled humidity.
Thanks Greta. I don't do garlic, but we dry herbs inverted in brown grocery bags. I think the brown paper absorbs any humidity coming from the stems. ~ Sandra

Our garlic is a perennial, so just leave some in the ground to do its magic. It's better than wild garlic. Hope all is great Ali!
There are so many perennial vegetables that we overlook in our gardens - as a garlic lover this is one of the best!

What a superb idea, I suppose that makes sense and makes a system that is a natural way of growing it
Can never hurt to have an endless supply of garlic. 🤣 Have a great weekend Mike!
I've got a few coming up in my small makeshift garden!
Great! Fun, fun to see what comes up! Hope all is great cousin

Hello Caroline 👋 😀. Thank you. Take care
The scapes will be beautiful in your garden! Do you ever have a problem with mould when storing harvests indoors, Greta?

A question about your onion. What is the name of those onion you have left in your pantry?
Hi Andrea. Each year I grow Sturon and Red Karmen from sets. They work well for me here.
Thanks I think I'll look for them this year. I usually grow onion only from seed but those look beautiful.
Hi Greta do you save that garlic clove until next october to grow it again..pls explain😊
Yes, Claire, each year, I set enough aside to have 200 cloves to replant in the fall. My garlic stores perfectly for a year.
I think you and yours will definitely be ok,come the zombie apocalypse 😂All the best 🌸x
🤣😂 One must be prepared!
