I'm curious to know if you tested it for a long time? How did it withstand the test of time? Does it have the same issues as the ecoflow glacier with the thermostat, where you find your items frozen?
@@ismael7238 I have only used my cooler about 5 times my battery dies fast and the temp drops. I wrote anker there customer service was awesome they sent me a replacement and still the same issues I wish I was still in the 30 days to return it U definitely need to pre chill the cooler if u put a warm 12 pack in it your battery will die fast trying to cool of the drinks u will only get a few hours
That's a utopian test. In the real world, the fridge will be opened periodically to grab and/or add things and, more importantly, will be exposed to uncontrollable external temps that may have the compressor in the fridge turning on more often to maintain internal temp Just the same, that's pretty incredible numbers for a real world test. You've also answered the question many RUclipsrs didn't- "will the mains plug charge the battery?" In the last 6 years, there's been a drastic cost reduction in 12v compressor fridges, but this one seems worth the premium for the flexibility it offers. It can charge via solar, mains, 12v battery, etc, it's light enough to move around to different areas as you need it and can swap batteries in unideal circumstances My only issue with the fridge is the 100w limit for solar, but that's not a deal breaker by any stretch. Seems like the perfect fridge for the weekend van lifer or routine beach goer
@@CampingSecretsUK idk, maybe I'm just a little crazy, but wheels and battery pack make me rethink how I'll use a 12v fridge. Because it's from Anker and I trust that company, I actually don't mind the idea of paying that kind of money so much. Doesn't change the fact that it's overpriced for the average person, of course
Is not a real world test. You have to test it full of drinks and stuff and opening it every now and then to grab drinks and stuff and also in a summer day when one needs a cooler the most. I bet it will be hardly day and a half. I own one and used it real world in 32 degrees for half a day and used around 30% battery
There's an infinite combination of ways to use the cooler and I can't test them all. I agree with what you're saying though of course. In actual use on a hot day, the time is less than what I showed. It's the delta in temperature which determines the power usage

In order to properly thermoregulate, the fridge requires some sort of heat sink media. Some bottles of water would work fine.
Coolah

@@davidlane1248 great comment David thank you. I agree it's very good, but the price is a bit unrealistic in my view as you mentioned. Thanks again

Good Video, but at that price no way would i spend that on a fridge, it's ok for you youtubers who are given these products to test for nothing.
It is eye wateringly expensive, as I said!
I got mine in the sale, was around £170 off, expensive still but I had multiple uses for it - recently for golf 😅
@@luke-ve8jb good to hear. Works great!
