Jan-Michael was my dear friend. We tried for decades to get gim healthy. He just didn't want to be sober. He told me a million times, "i don't want to quit" i love him dearly and miss him incredibly
We knew him a little around this time , my father produced the movie "Buster and Billie" and till this day many consider that to be Jan Michael's best performance. It was very sad to just watch him deteriorate a little more each year.
He can sing country and the blues. NyQuil Blues is also very underrated as sung in 1987 on the Rick Dee’s show! Man of many talents, indeed!

@@anthonylilly6862 It's incredible how long-term alcoholism can soon age a person beyond their years! He was once so healthy and handsome! I've often wondered just what all it was that contributed to his untimely demise?! He was my favorite actor...I grew up watching all his movies and television.
He was really handsome in this clip, 28 years old. 46 years later he died as a wreck.

Did Jan ever made a record?
As far as I am aware Jan never made an actual record; however, he did a studio recording in 1977, where he recorded a few songs with Jimmy Baker. These were never released and the master tapes were destroyed in a flood. Jan apparently gave his copies away...
@@JiggeryPokery That's a shame and amazing as well since he has a real good singing voice. I'm amazed record companies didn't jump on him for a record deal honestly, especially since he was popular, looking good, i mean, the whole package!
