I literally imagined it a few days ago; thinking Burt went to Tina and the two of them sorted everything out and then just told Brittany to show up on the day because as much as I love her, she can't keep a secret to save her life.
This to me was one of the most important scenes of glee, because it really showed just how supportive Burt was of his son. We can always see scenes of the glee club/friends arguing and going at each other but it's the love and support at the end of the day that made this show and these characters so amazing to watch
Remember when we laid eyes on Burt for the first time and we thought 'oh god Kurt's got that homophobic, football loving, abusive bully of a dad we hope one day Kurt will report and escape'. How wonderfully wrong we were proven.
Heather Morris was a backup dancer for Beyonce and writers originally wanted her only for teaching the dance moves, but decided to keep her for the show. She did really well on it.
Can we just appreciate the fact that not only did Burt as a character have to learn the choreo for this, but his actor Mike O’Malley also had to learn it. And the choreography for this song isn’t easy so the fact that he pulled it off even a little bit is a feat in itself....
I love that Burt didn’t know the moves exactly. Gave it more realism that he had just tried his best to learn, and really also shows the versatility of the actor. Something I learned from my stage days, doing a song/dance/etc. incorrectly on purpose is a LOT harder than getting it right sometimes.
Burt was honestly my favorite character because he easily could have been the most flaming homophobic asshole, but he told his son he knew, he’s always known, since he was 3 and asked for “sensible heels” for his birthday. That scene has stuck with me, when when I didn’t stick with the show. Finn was the son he wanted in the sense he could understand, but when Finn was homophobic (I still think Kurt was boundary stomping hard in that early season) Kurt shut that shit down immediately. And then this. Burt was the best.
Why do I’ve a feeling that Chris didn’t really expect this or at least for it to be the full thing? His reaction seems so genuine and not ‘acted’ 😂 also Heather looks so cute singing along at 1:24
I love this and it should seriously be inspiration to all dads that have sons or daughters that are gay. To be excepting of who they!!! It’s so nice to see this 💛
best thing is that they started going toward each other instead of away when Kurt was honest about who he was. Doesn't always happen but it's better to know who will love and support the real you in your life.
I love Kurt and his dads relationship ♥ it's beautiful OMG I forgot how much they grew up lol.....i cried so much of happiness for Kurt and Burt I'm so happy to see this for fathers and sons
I love that you can tell Brittany, who normally goes the hardest in every dance because she's the best dancer on the show, tones it down to let Burt be the star. Also doing a dance to the song that she already did a promotional tour with Beyonce for.
What gets me is that he probably spent so much time practicing and practicing to get it just right. So he didn’t have to look at Brit or Tina little to none. The love he has for his son is amazing
This was incredible and so heartfelt!! It also has Kurt's Dad fully showing how much he fully loves and accepts Kurt as his son. It also fully demonstrates how accepting he is of Kurt being gay.
I've haven't seen this scene before Burt's voice cracks me up I've seen him dancing to Beyonce's music "Single Ladies" he's amazing a great dancer to the Beyonce's music
Its official. Burt is the best dad ever.
Yes! 😍
Y e s
Definitely he is the best dad ever
Absolutely.
Every time I see him and how he acts with Kurt, he makes me wish I'd had a Dad even half like him.
Abso-fucking-lutely!!!!
I honestly thought just would be a super cliche homophobic dad but I'm so happy that this is what they did with him!
It was based on the creator's own dad.
Same
Burt really worked on himself for his son. No one had a stronger character development on glee than Burt.
Imagine how the conversation went between Burt Tina and Brittany when he asked them to do this for him 😂
I literally imagined it a few days ago; thinking Burt went to Tina and the two of them sorted everything out and then just told Brittany to show up on the day because as much as I love her, she can't keep a secret to save her life.
I hate Brittany👿
I can't even look at her she is a make out kisser
😂😂😂
@@Hannah4765 Truth
@@briloveskurthummelbriones1565 why do you hate Brittany?

Katie Roush You are so right! :-)
Some of the arguments are made bc of Rachel

@@jianahdevera4045 Actually NOT.
You people luv on hating her, but she never did half of the thing some of the members did.

Remember when we laid eyes on Burt for the first time and we thought 'oh god Kurt's got that homophobic, football loving, abusive bully of a dad we hope one day Kurt will report and escape'. How wonderfully wrong we were proven.
Not everyone thought that
Even Mike o malley thought that
"Sit down. And accept your present."
I love this. He is the best dad ever.

Emeline DeLapp he would have been like what fuck is happening
Yup remember when Kurt slapped Tina’s butt 😂
OMG I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONTAIN MY LAUGHTER 😂😂😂
He would've join the dance.
He would have cheered and then ask what was it for
Kurt's face in the end is like: "Wow, I really can't process.. what did just happen?!"
Brittany does this so effottlessly because she went with Beyonce on tour
BURT IS THE BEST DAD OMG I'M SO DAMN JEALOUS

That plus the fact that he is older which means it would take longer for him to memorize the choreo.
That was the cutest thing I've ever seen! Now THAT is a real man and a real dad.
Fuckin' Burt being the supportive daddy that he is
I love this scene but I wonder how the conversation went between Burt Tina and Brittany when he asked them to do this for him.
The best dad ever!

HEY
that's so sweet his dad took the time to learn that dance just for him
What gets me is that he probably spent so much time practicing and practicing to get it just right. So he didn’t have to look at Brit or Tina little to none. The love he has for his son is amazing
