Great vid, someone who can drive, watched a Plato and Chris harris vid, yours was far better showing the car on the limit. One thing I would like to see in any vids of this car Is, someone doing a 0-60 time starting with Second gear and when out on the roads changing two gears at a time that any 6 speed box needs to be fast. Not all the time but there is so much torque with such little weight I'm sure this thing would much faster in lots of situations driven properly.
@@drivefasternow9071 My understanding is that unlike the 3 or earlier its essentially mandatory in the US now. Though as most were already specced that way in the US it prob makes little difference
@@Leshic2 Move to the Isle of Mann in the UK (it's the island with that mental manxTT race) not only will you get the atom without the roll bar and the windscreen, there's no speed limits on most of the island too.
I did a video walking over the spec sheet that shows the car a little bit. Granted, it is more about the options and spec'ing an Atom 4 but may be interesting for you: ruclips.net/video/1FC5wyqkEXI/видео.html
@@Sheridantank My M340i xDrive weighs literally 3 times as much as this Atom... And with only 30 more HP, it's already pretty quick, with 0-60 achievable in 3.8-3.9ish seconds. Would really love to see an AWD Atom though :)
WTF was wrong with the Mercedes starting at the 4:00 mark? After turn 2 it looked like they turned out to try and setup for turn 3 and upset the chassis in the process. Then, just before the point by, they almost rear ended the Porsche. I wouldn't want to be on the track with that Mercedes.
@@drivefasternow9071 Gotcha, glad he is still enjoying the hobby. I would still be worried about it though. I had people criticize me for autocrossing with one hand on the wheel in the past. They also said they didn't know how I was getting the times I was getting, but then I grew up driving the lawnmower and steering with one hand while the other was on the hydrostatic speed lever. Any relation to Michael? But yeah, my budget only stretches to bikes for staining my panties. Would love an Atom one day if I won lotto, though. Dunno why people are worried about broken bones, just don't hit stuff.
Nice to get feedback from someone who actually knows how to drive fast.
Driving like that while breaking down the car's finer points... probably the best ride-along I've ever seen.
That exhaust and turbo sound is the best soundtrack for any car!
I like how you can watch the keychain and get a sense of the Gs he’s pulling.
Also, Anthony’s got serious Jackie Chan hands. So fast!
this is awesome !! thank you fore the ride..
How refreshing to see an Atom thrashing review with the only squealing coming from the tyres. Excellent vid, thank you.
black flagged bc this thing was KILLING its run group
Ah yes, turbo sounds 🤤
well the dump valve
Prefer the supercharger, not so frenetic and with no annoying dump valve noise.
It's always interesting to hear just how bad the previous version of a car is when they review the new one.
Considering he is also backing off early in most corners he is hammering past everyone. Haha good man.

Never seen one of these with a windscreen and wipers, is that a USA health and safety thing?
They are optional, as well as the roll bar.

turbo charged or Supercharged?
The British version has a turbo charger; www.arielmotor.co.uk/atom/atom-overview/ The one in video is probably near enough the same.
If you couldn't hear from the blowoff valve, its turbocharged. This is the Civic Type R engine with custom tuning.
Light is right.
Is that You, mr. Chapman?
:)
Once my eyes saw the windscreen wiper, I couldn't look away from it. It looks like it's from an 87 Corolla, lol.
I wanna see a speedo
One of the few vehicles where 300hp is acceptable as Performa
350 HP. In a car like this, every HP might as well be 3 being a third the weight of some cars.

Honestly anything above 100hp is acceptable depending on the weight of the car. I could have tons of fun in my old EK Civic with 114hp.
