Hello everyone!
I'm demonstrating a Combat and inventory system for Unity 3D, perfect to use in RPG , MMO and Hack and Slash games.
In this systems have:
**In Ander RPG **
Attacking enemies like a Hack and Slash
View 3D UI elements on top of render
Equip intems
Inventory system (Like Minecraft, Ark, Rust and more)
Take a damage determinates of sword script
** In GoodMotion Update **
ClimbUP System
Footsteps sound Improvment (he detect ground material)

So, this video is years old, and since then, I have developed new techniques to build these systems, with different results, although the same proposal. I recommend you read the script classes, override and virtual voids, scriptable objects etc. and for the jump system, I remember using a lot of raycasts to check height, available space and other parameters (this check was only done when the player pressed the "climb button" to save processing).
Unfortunately I no longer have this build of the project to be able to help, besides, it was made when I was a little boy venturing into game development, many systems I would do completely differently now.

Can you make a tutorial for a 3d person combat system like your ARPG Unity3D - Combat System and Inventory System video. I realy like your combat system, and I want to use it in my project.
Maybe someday I'll do a tutorial on the combat system. But the inventory system was discarded because it was very problematic (I'm still learning to do it)
I think you are using a collider for your Pickup-System. What happens if there are more than one Item inside the Collider?
Do you have any type of priorisation or does the Character pick them all up?
I am struggeling on the Pick-up System on my game - thats why I ask.
I don't remember how I fixed that, but you can create a List of all objects colliding on player and get first.
Another Question:
How do you build up your Climbing system?
How you manage to detect ledges?
I don't remember, and I don't have this version more. But I think there I used Raycast

Yes, there is a trigger on the blade.

I am currently working on creating new systems and I still have to organize and translate the systems already created by me into English. After finishing I will launch a game and post the projects separately in the AssetStore
