- Here's the High-Grade 1/144 scale God Gundam (aka Burning Gundam) from the Mobile Fighter G-Gundam series! It's getting up there in age but still holds up rather nicely! The RG is right around the corner though!

It was supposedly supposed to come out last month.
It’s always great when gunpla reviewers review old kits that beginners may not be familiar with
I personally switched the wings around beforehand since I knew I would have it in its Mobile Fighter mode facing forward.
As a bonus, if you get the HGFC Nobell Gundam, it’ll come with open holding hands to recreate the scene of the God Gundam holding the Nobell Gundam!

This was actually my first gundam I built recently. I think this might be the start to my descent down the rabbit hole. Simple and effective design too.
Hoping they continue making more from this series. Would love to see new HG kits for the rest of the main cast, on top of the Rising and Dark Gundams.
For real - I’ve got an old HG Shining and a Death Army grunt, so with the RG God on its way it’d be sweet to get some modern HGs to round out the roster
ZA, I enjoy all the content on your channel, as you do a great job being thorough and objective, but I absolutely LOVE the reviews of the older gundam kits. In my opinion it's easier to find info on recently released products than it is to find the "hidden gems" of the past. Love discovering awesome kits that flew under the radar! Also, Bandai, give G Gundam more love PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!
I do love Domon's Shining Gundam but I like his Burning Gundam too! Bakushinamaru from SD Gundam Force also had wings on his back like Domon's Burning Gundam and the Gundams in that anime were super kawaii!!!
My god, one of my first kits when I was a teen and while it unfortunately either got lost or broken with time, I still remember it fondly. Thank you for the trip down memory lane, can't wait for the RG to drop soon 🤤

Oh maybe you could use that red strip of sticker included to cut out rectangles and paste it over the gaps on the core lander’s winglets. Never tried it before but seems logical to me.
Ooh classic. I actually really like the proportions on this kit, which is rare for such an old kit.
This was, in fact, my very first Gunpla. It gave me a great impression of HGs; I'm still a fan of them. After a bit of painting and customization... Well, it still might be the kit into which I've put the most effort!

Lets hope they release a revive HGFC version of it. Just like Gouf's revive HGUC one.
Um more likely never. Gouf 1.0 was released back way older days where gunpla is outdated. This kit is not needed to get update at all. Plus we already get the RG as sorta better God Gundam in 1/144 scale anyway.
This and the build burning Gundam are two of my favorite high grades, for an old kit it’s aged like wine. I’m turning this into a fighting game character
I have this model and also the Shining Gundam (the unit before God Gundam), and also I have HG Master Gundam with his riding robot horse (I got Master and the horse on a single model kit box).
So, I like the G Gundam model kits series because they have cool designs and accesories (hands, effects, weapons) even for being HG designs.
they sacrificed neck joints for some sick back skirt movement. For an old kit, it aged gracefully

still a very bold & dynamic design despite its age; I can't wait for my local hobby stores to start stocking the upcoming RG!
The first two model kits I ever built were the 2001 MG G Gundam and Master Gundam. I can’t wait for the RG, but now we’ll need an RG Master Gundam as well, both with minis of Domon and Master Asia in Kung Fu poses
God Gundam has such a nice design, looks great even with only stickers.

A very good kit despite it’s age. Paint it and panel line it up and it’ll look better than it does from the box!! Even though the RG will definitely blow this one out the water, this kit makes for a perfect anime accurate alternative

I was going to pick up the HG God Gundam last year but I saw that the RG God Gundam will be released this year so I am waiting for the RG.
I enjoyed this kit. The hollow part of the red fins on the core lander were a disappointment, but I built mine switching their sides so the hollow parts aren’t visible from the front when connected to the suit and looks much better. Looks awful when the core lander is transformed, but personally I would never display it separate anyway

I built the HGFC Shining Gundam a few years back, and while there are a few parts that like to fall off (especially the leg covers), it's an awesome looking kit. Would be nice for it to get an RG or an updated MG, especially since the God Gundam is getting an RG.

also people posing this kit with the Build Burning Gundam from Build Fighters Try fighting each other because of the twist on who's Sekai's martial arts teacher in the end of the final episode of the anime, lol.

The Gold Wings on the head fall off super easily in my experience but glue fixed that quickly
Now that the Shenlong is coming out hopefully they'll come back to this series and give us the other main Gundams, or go back to the SEED universe.

Probably not a lot of ppl care, but the HG that release around that time are supervised by Katoki. It does looks really good but it will be a lot better if they release it now.
By any chance, did you review this kit in anticipation of of the soon-to-be-released Real Grade God Gundam (which I've already pre-ordered from USA Gundam Store months in advance)?

Zaku don't you still have to older 1/144 God Gundam that you could do a side by side to show how far bandai has come when the RG God Gundam comes out?
This kit didn’t come with a pilot figure, so I swear if the RG doesn’t come with a pilot figure like recent RG kits to go with my Master Asia from the Fuunsaiki kit Im’ma be pretty peeved.
