There is actually an hg Altron, but it is in the the build divers line, the only different about it from the standard version is the shoulders, lack of the scorpion stinger, and it doesn’t have the trident
@@Snipes8161 hmm it's still quite likely that it will be a regular release alongside the Deathscythe Hell, considering that unlike the upgraded Sandrock and Heavyarms (only very minor changes) the Altron and Deathscythe Hell are different (and popular) enough to warrant a regular release

the shoulder stickers suck, but at least that's easy painting. the v fin, however, is unforgivable still, cool kit and i'm desperately hoping they reuse the extendible arm gimmick for Virsago one day
as far as the shoudlers being symmetrical, they could have had two clear domes for the fronts and two white domes for the backs. heck, even if they replace the clear plastic with solid green, like the eyes of the moon gundam, that would be fine by me (but understandably not fine by other people)
It doesn't quite make sense that they didn't make the shoulder jewels clear plastic. I don't think it would make the kit significantly more expensive if they turned those jewels into separate parts
Thats true i had the deathscythe on pre-order on hlj and still had to wait for 4 months after it came out before they could fill my order…i could only imagine trying to buy it now

eh shoulder gems being stickers is an easy fix with paints, kinda funny that some people had an overreaction to that I mean it just the same as painting in the Gundam's mouth vents to make it visible, lol.
the connector part for the spear holder on the back pack is a separate part on the NG? just a nitpick but the all blue back pack kinda looks toyish but yeah, juat a nitpick
The shoulders really bother me. I have no problem in drilling them out and replacing them with aftermarket parts, but most people snap fit and this foe is beyond many of them.
The worst thing about the chest stickers is they're round. Stickers for round parts have those ugly seams and if you don't use them and decide to paint, masking a round area is a nightmare! Basically I would have to paint that freehand and good luck with that.
That lack of color separation on the shoulders really takes a lot away from what could have been a great kit. But that not being separated really is a huge miss compared to the standards set by all the previous modern HG Wing kits
Whoever was handling costing on this project at Bandai must have been in a bad mood lol. This would be one of the few HGs that would absolutely be able to justify the added expense of clear shoulder pieces. Sure you could paint this in a metallic green, but it's just not going to have the same depth as a green tinted clear plastic piece. It's a real shame because otherwise it looks like a solid kit.
I don't understand the numbering system for HG's... Why are some universes under the main HG numbering and something like IBO with their own? I know the gold and silver colors signify AC vs. UC but still confused why they aren't just all under the same numbers or separate.
yeah, it feels weird at first... but after i familiarized myself with gundam universe, I think they combine the numbering from the 90's mobile suit, maybe bandai try to identify them as OG classic Gundam (all UC, AC, AW, FC, CC) and CE too because Seed is so popular & identical in design. Meanwhile, kits from IBO, Witch are considered "modern" design which has surpass the classic generation, thus the new numbering.
I imagine they don’t expect this line to be too large, and or because the time separation between them doesn’t warrant a dedicated line. Is it really a line if they take 1-3 years between kits? But idk it is off
Not at all. I love to paint my kits or sometimes modify them to look the way that I want them to look. If it means cutting something out or scratch building a new piece/pieces then I’ll do it to make it all the better. It’s just a matter of what you are willing or experimenting to do with your kits. This hobby is all about the freedom to choose and customize, paint, and do whatever you think you can do with it. Learning and living one step at a time. Progressing and advancing to another level bit by bit. Successes and failures will both happen but don’t let it detour you. As you progress you will become a better modeler and don’t be afraid of constructive criticism because you don’t know what may come of it and it might just give you a better idea to work off of or improve your current project. Happy building.😄
Really shows how far Bandai has come to finally give Wufei the respect he deserves. Now we wait another 5 to 10 years for Altron....
I can see Altron being P-Bandai. All of the mid season upgrades of the other suits have been.

Pretty neat the way the shoulder joint locks into the armor when the extendo pieces are folded in.

Best way to go for the metallic green since smooth and round surfaces aren't the best for stickers.

The connection for the beam spear on the non grade wasn't a separate part. Also it is anime and lineart accurate.
