Don't understand why too much hate for this movie. I personally liked it, not that bad for an origin story, this movie answers some questions,
1. Why The Avengers named 'Avengers'?
2. Fury's eyes
3. Tesseract
There's not much actual hate for the movie. It's mostly "powerful woman scary", under the guise of pearl clutching. There are legitimate criticisms of the film, but the loudest cries were just about Brie Larson daring to speak on behalf of an underrepresented people.

As a Marvel fan ever since, I'm trying to embrace every works of Stan Lee, esp. his heroes. I didn't like Brie at first because of the interview where she said she did all her stunts discrediting her stunt double but as I watched her movie Room, im starting to like her as an actress.
And we also get the origins of both Nick Fury and Phil Coulson

It was already shown how stupid mysoginists act with women and how RIGHTLY women answer. He harassed her, she was absolutely in her right to hurt him when he should've just been minding his own business. When men do things like that in real life it makes me feel so disgusting and awful, I shouldn't have to think about my own body like that when I'm just out trying to live my life and buy groceries or whatever else I'm doing. People are hating on this movie and character way too much, it wasn't even that bad, if you Don't like it, it's still not a reason to insult her under every post
People just hate feminism without a great body. Yes that's what all of this about. Compare it with wonder woman. That movie is mediocre at best. And the actor isn't even that good. The same feminists movie. The different is one has a great booty while the other only has a great booby. And as you know people are into booty RN. Movies like endgame tho, know how to put a lot of character development and still make it entertaining.
that boy most movies that don’t require a lot of character development have a compelling plot, pre flushed out or established characters, some amount of character development even if limited, and don’t rely purely on action to propel everything.
If you want just action go watch thoughtless plotless WWE star films.
This movie was easily the worst in the MCU, with the worst and most poorly designed character at the helm. The cat had more personality and character development from his relationship with Fury than Marvel did the entire film.
