I have been a Giants fan for 68 years. The Bochy era was the best - 3 world championships. Congratulations for 2,000 wins, but numbers aside, I always appreciated the camaraderie this team had. They always had each other's back. That always started with the manager. I saw Bochy play in his early days in the Mets organization with the Tidewater Tides in the International League in Norfolk, Va. We won some championships there, too. Best wishes to a great manager in his retirement. I'll look to see him in the Hall of Fame soon.
BOCHY is San Francisco. What a rewarding career with these guys. It was a colorful team; always full of excitement and on the edge. We will miss seeing you promoting and defending your boys. Happy Retirement!.
Bruce ain't only a scholar, and a Saint. An Excellent manager, and strategist. He is a gentleman and one of the best managers the San Francisco Giants have had.
Thank You Boch! You made worth being a SF Giants fan. My best Baseball day of my life, Mother's Day 2014. Being in the park and watching the Giants play.
Thank you Boch! We never forget you in this era of world series wins of 2010, 2012, and 2014. I hope you come back soon to Oracle Park and enjoy the time there and everyone there would give you a standing ovation for your accomplishments you do for us. #ForeverGiant #ThankYouBoch
Bochy was the best manager San Diego ever had, and when they sent him away, I stopped going to games. Since then all the Padres have ever done is compete for last place. He lives in Poway still as far as I know. I encountered him a couple of times on walks around the neighborhood. My most amusing encounter with Boch was at the Carmel Mountain Costco near Christmas time when he, like everyone else, was going from food sample station to station. Lots of people recognized him, as I did, but no one intruded on his private time. That's how people in San Diego felt about him. I only wish Tony Gwinn (another Poway resident) was still around to wish him a wonderful retirement.
Spot on, Rob. I'm a Lifetime Yankees fan, but I lived in San Diego for 10 years and adopted the Padres (1994-2003), becoming a season ticket holder (Club Level 1997-2002!), even rooting against the Yankees in 1998! Boch was brilliant, and I look at his stint with the Giants as a reward for all the crap he had to take with the Padres... losing player after player to a 'rebuilding' effort that was never anything more than a perpetual fire sale.
I love this video piece you guys put together. Our family are devoted baseball fans of the giants . We are very lucky to see them win 3 world championships in our life time . All of them were great to watch . To the next coach whoever it maybe . Bring us home another . Go giants !
Congrats on the 1st postseason win, AL championship and WS appearance. Texas is also a team I respect as a Giants fan and wish you guys well every year.
1 of my lifelong dreams was to see the San Fransisco Giants win a World Series. Bochy gave us 3, he gave us excitement, fun, anguish and torture. THANK YOU Mr Bochy for fulfilling so many dreams, and for doing it with class and style.
It’s been an honor to have this man in baseball. As a Cardinals fan, a lot of his success came at the expense of my team and his success pissed me off at times for sure lol. But the man is a hall of fame caliber manager, he’s been incredible for the Giants, and for baseball as a whole. Enjoy retirement sir. You have definitely earned it.
Class, Mr Jackson. Thank you., Cardinals and Giants have played many times over the years Glad you won in 2011 and your 2013 NL Pennant. Our teams represented the NL 4 out of 5 years during 2010-2014 winning 4 of them. I think we did pretty well.
Thanks for everything, Bochy. I don't know if we'll ever see a better manager here in the Bay (or even in baseball). Thanks for bringing 3 World Series to the city by the bay, and for remaining constant through all the ups and downs
kurisu cosmo Even if a better one comes along it’s hard to picture one that will ever top what Bochy means to the Bay Area. He did so much with, admittedly, so little and gave Giants fans some of the most magical Octobers of their lives.
Who was the last manager to have three World Series championships for the San Francisco Giants? Oh there were none other than Bochy. Hats off to a great manager
Boch, you were the best! It is an understatement to say how much we will all miss you, how you brought this team and city up to celebrate baseball again! You are a Hall of Fame Manager and thank you for all you have done!
Hats of to this legend. I’m a dodger fan and appreciate this mans dedication to his team. I hope he enjoys time away from the game. Glad to see him go and I am looking forward to seeing the Giants struggle for a few decades! Ha
I’ll miss you Bochy!!! As a lifelong Giants fan, you have given my family and I some of the best memories! My Grandpa getting to see them win their first title before he passed away a year later. This will always be my favorite era of the Giants with some my favorite players ever!! Tim Lincecum Madison Bumgarner Brandon Crawford buster Posey and more!!! I’ll always Feel privileged to be a Giants fan and I’ll always be proud of your accomplishments especially the three World Series Championships. I’ll re-read Your book “The Book of Walks” which was really inspiring to me. Thank you Bochy, you will be missed.
Thank you KNBR for this glimpse into the life of our beloved Giants manager. Very well done. He will be missed. His replacement has some mighty big shoes to fill.
Boch was an amazing manager. SF should have had the World Series in 02 but they got cocky and wanted to win it at home. Letting the Angels win game 5 was a curse. Boch didn’t do that. He pushed his guys to make them play the best of their ability in all 3 WS wins from playoffs game 1 to WS championships
WOW! What a tribute to a wonderful manager and more importantly, a wonderful role model, a leader and a human being. We Love you Boch and we will always miss you! May the rest of your life be fun and far less "TORTURE"!
We’ll miss you Boch. Had some great memories at the park and you were a big part in making that happen. So thank you and happy trails. Hope to see you around at the park in the future thought
dakruise1 I’d argue 2012 was the best run. Facing down 5-6 elimination games culminating in a World Series sweep against a superior opponent (on paper).
2012 was the better playoff run due to the craziness of it. 2010 was better since it was the first, and the Giants weren't the favorites to win it. 2014 was the best overall World Series
i see six dodger fans has visited this page hahhaha. i'm life long A's fan and totally respect Bochy and what he accomplished. was fun just as bay area sports guy to watch '10 '12 '14. hoping A's can make some noise this year
I love you for everything you've done for us fans and the San Francisco Giants team. Somebody has big shoes to feel. Take care and Thank you for all you did in baseball. Your my sons hero ⚾♥
Just came back here due to Rangers' first World Series win. Farhan should have let Bruce finish in SF even though he may not be analytics-inclined manager.
I watched the end of this ceremony as it was broadcast live. A fine ceremony celebrating a great run, and a manager and organization parting ways amicably. That is extremely rare. Sadly, the many vitriol comments posted by partisans of both the Giants and the Dodgers seemed to miss that. I understand fandom. I understood that as a child, hating the Amazing Mets and every team (and there were many) that ended my favorite team’s hopes of championship glory year after year after year. But I don’t believe most of the people posting their hatred for the other team were children. They were just acting as such. Congratulations to Bruce Bochy and the San Francisco Giants organization on a great run. Greatness should always be celebrated by all sports fans, no matter which team we are rooting for. If you need to express your frustration, grab a pillow and punch it and scream into it while you kick your feet on a bed. If that doesn’t cure you, seek professional help immediately. Go team. And let’s all enjoy the playoffs and if your team, like mine, didn’t make it: “Wait until next year.”
Boch tell Posey to swim an Hour and a half 3 days a week and lift weights the other 3 for 2!hours, with Sunday off. Alternate. He will be so much stronger and be surprised at what he can do.
Padres blew it when they fired Flannery without asking Bochy. It was a foregone conclusion that he would leave. And San Diego is mired in second division purgatory.
lol he is the most overrated manager in history..my granny could have won with that giants bullpen and now he can do nothing but make mistakes one right after the other. It is comical how clueless he is managing a bullpen that isnt stellar and its not just that he has no clue when to pinch hit Everything he does every choice he makes is bad
I have been a Giants fan for 68 years. The Bochy era was the best - 3 world championships. Congratulations for 2,000 wins, but numbers aside, I always appreciated the camaraderie this team had. Texas Rangers fan here. One heck of a manager and a tough SOB to beat.
Congrats on the 1st postseason win, AL championship and WS appearance. Texas is also a team I respect as a Giants fan and wish you guys well every year.
God Bless You Bruce.
Nice work. Worthy of the Man.
Man, are we going to miss him. Thank you Boch!
We NEED to win today to give Bochy a .500 win record... c'mon Giants!
Wow thank you for such a beautiful tribute. Great work.

Well said fellow Giants Fan
I am so proud of what the Giants and Boch did, 3 times bringing the World Series Trophy to SF.
As an A's fan, much respect to the Giants, Bochy and all that your organization has accomplished. One fo the all time greats, and a classy guy
I never got to see the Giants during Bochy's career. A career catcher, he was another natural for managing. Much respect.....
Boch, you were the best! It is an understatement to say how much we will all miss you, how you brought this team and city up to celebrate baseball again! You are a Hall of Fame Manager and thank you for all you have done!

Thats because they had Bonds in 2002 ;) ,no wonder they didn't pull it off, plus Dusty Baker didn't help either.
Bay Area Adventures your point makes no sense, the Giants won game 5 and games 6 and 7 were in Anaheim??
A Great Man!
I wish we could go back to 5:27
TTV By the way don’t make me cry 😭. Gonna miss times like that, things just wont be the same

Thanks for the Years and CHAMPIONSHIPS Boch!
Enjoy the fishing!
The 2010 run was the best of all time
dakruise1 I’d argue 2012 was the best run. Facing down 5-6 elimination games culminating in a World Series sweep against a superior opponent (on paper).
2012 was the better playoff run due to the craziness of it. 2010 was better since it was the first, and the Giants weren't the favorites to win it.
2014 was the best overall World Series
dakruise1 Watching Lincecum pitch in Game 5 is my favorite moment ever as a Giants fan.
dakruise1 no 2012, they were on the verge of elimination several times
Life long Giants fan-love bochy so much I'm going to miss him so much
absolute legend. great piece, thanks KNBR
thank you, Skipper.
I’m a diehard dodgers fan but I have a massive amount of respect for this man. One of the all time greats
Same
Congrats Oscar on your Dodgers winning last year. As much as I don't like the Dodgers, I like Clayton Kershaw and Vin Scully.
He should have five rings she should have won all 5 years but no he only has two rings
@@youtubeAgent007 First of all, Bochy is not a "she." Secondly, he has 3 rings , not 2.
@@dalehahn9752 bro you can tell I be smoking weed which I do be totally meant to say 3 and he but in my defense I use the mic I don't type

He was a very good player and a Great manager. Enjoy the time off and when the Hall of Fame calls answer the phone. They will be calling
Thank you boch!!!!!!!
Great run coach! Enjoy all your accolades and the down time! Best wishes!
A very nice tribute to the man who built that!! Enjoy your retirement in your own Field of Dreams!! Thank you for the wonderful memories.
I love you for everything you've done for us fans and the San Francisco Giants team. Somebody has big shoes to feel. Take care and Thank you for all you did in baseball. Your my sons hero ⚾♥

Great video! 😔
Very well done, thanks from a giants fan since 65 who doesn’t live there.
Much respect to Bruce Bochy . I do find it ironic that his final game was getting curb stomped by the Dodgers.
Padres blew it when they fired Flannery without asking Bochy. It was a foregone conclusion that he would leave. And San Diego is mired in second division purgatory.

Lots of baseball smarts in that 8 1/8 head...
Music got dramatic at 2:42 lol
From his bullpen phone pranks to his enabling of PED abuser Bonds, not much more to add.
I would assume the 3 downs were given by Dodgers fans! Lol
Manuel Ramos no doubt, they’re too busy shoving dodger dogs up their you know what
@@SFbayArea94121 A 3 lose peat looks certain for Dodgers fans >:)
