- Today I'm trying out alcohol markers! I used to use markers back when I first started reconnecting with art, but I used them a bit differently than I do in this video. Grab your sketchbook and fill some spreads with me :)

It's so, so refreshing to see marker-related content that does not involve anime-style cartoons. Thank you!
you can like something without bashing another thing lol
Indeed, that is true. But not today, @kr1stphr, not today.
@@lesleyegbert4807omg I love your reply😭 your initial comment wasn’t even that negative, I love your humor
Thats rude dude
Very good point!😊
these are so beautiful! i love seeing how markers can be used in different styles
thank you so much 🥰 same! I love seeing how other artists use markers
❤
I'd love to see more videos of you breaking down how to do landscapes. I find them so helpful to draw along with
Noted! I have another landscape video with markers i did more recently, but I will be doing more ☺️
My goodness, I don’t like winter at all but the winter illustration took my breath away. I love your landscape illustrations and the depth to the nature feels as well
Thank you so much my lovely 🥰 i don’t like winter either but i loved doing the snow haha
Gosh you're one of my fave art channels
This is so lovely, thank you so much for watching my videos 🥰
I have a set of alcohol markers that I got as a gift and I just didn’t know how to use them so thank you for this!
Yay, you’re welcome 💕 I love seeing how markers can be used in such different ways/styles
I love how you use theses markers ! 😍👌 I bought them a little while ago and still am figuring them out🤣 I tried some urban sketching and fell in love with it when I took a class on Domestika with Albert Kiefer. Thanks you for sharing your talent !! 🙏😍❤️
I'm so obsessed with your channel...These landscapes are so beautiful...I can't stop seeing them 😍❤️✨
this is so sweet! thank you sm!!
I love the way you’ve used the markers. Your landscapes are incredible. ❤
Thank you so much 🥰
love your studies. you make look so easy .i hope you do more of them and maybe a tutorial i find it hard to find on youtube with markers .i love to learn it i can do it with paint and pencil but marker is another thing and i struggle a lot with it and ends up looking like a kindergarden piece instead of art .
thanks so much! I totally understand what you are saying, I think one of the main things that I discovered was the importance of color selection, and I also found adding a fine pen outline to the piece also helped bring it all together as well. I need to try my hand at tutorials 😅
Adorable, as always. I've never tried alcohol markers before, but you make it seem very easy.
thank you so much 🥰
wow these are amazing works of art ,i look forward to more of these,i have 3 sets of markers and never thought of painting like this so awsome ,thank you
This is absolutely wonderful!!! I use the pastel set as a base and shade with pencil on top. But this is wonderful
thank you! :) I really want to try adding color pencil on top, I love the look it creates.
Wow this is SOO inspiring!!! Your art is breathtaking ❤ thank you so much for your content 🦕🫶
thanks so much for watching! 🥰
Each spread turns out soo beautiful 😍 I absolutely love it ,the winter illustration was amazing 👏
Why ohuhu didn't give you 320 markers set?!?!?!??!?!??!!!!!
You deserve it!!!!!!! 💪💪💪💪💪💪
I have never thought of doing landscape studies with my alcohol markers. Your work is beautiful.
Thank you! 🥰
Your drawing and style is really beautiful. I will try to copy when my ohuhu markers arrive :)
Wow! Such beautiful work! Thanks so much for sharing your lovely drawings with us .
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
I absolutely LOVE the first water study. At the beginning I thought it was an iceberg, which would've been really cool too. But it turned out so well!
thank you sm! 💕
Thank you!! These are all beautiful!
I just got into some cheap alcohol markers, I always say to myself that I kinda use them similarly to water coloring, which I loved doing growing up. i just ordered ohuhu set as a higher quality option that would last longer , I am super excited!
Thank you very much. I just bought a good set of these markers (40 colors) to test this new medium for me and I am really happy. With your video I can see more. 👍🏻
I'd love to watch MORE MARKERS VIDEO PLEASE!!!!!
I have one lined up to post this week!
@@sofiapavanmacias yay!!!
You're so good!! I'm in love with your style! I especially love how you draw snow. The one on the right side page is such a joy to my eyes. Thanks for sharing your art!

Thanks so much 🥰
You're so skilled! I love the way you use ohuhu markers to make these inspiring landscapes.
Thank you sm 🥹❤️
These are soo amazing! I struggle so much with alcohol markers cause I always get too caught up in blending and never end up achieving the look I want. But these are so great! Would you ever be interested in making a tutorial for these?
thank you so much! I think it can be easy to get caught up in blending, so I totally understand! I need to figure out tutorials 😅 thank you for watching ❤️
Woah…mesmerising as usual but also bowled over by the paradises on paper through…markers?? Wild …so talented 🥺 I’m glad you reconnected with this medium 😇
i love youuu 🥰 thank you gorgeous
Wow! Those tulips came out amazing ❤️! As did everything else but the tulips were my favorite!
Thanks so much 🥰
Those pictures that you did are beautiful
Love this video I’m very new to markers and now I feel I can tackle more getting out of my comfort zone.
Yay! Love this 🥰
wow, you make it look so easy
Amazing video, thank you 😊 I appreciate all the work that went into it (esp considering the amount of pages finished)
Thank you for such a lovely comment ❤️
Everything you created was really realistic and beautiful. I'm afraid I am going to have to restrict myself to the budget markers, which really limits me in color selection, but I enjoy watching artists like you using the larger color selection sets and seeing what wonderful art you always achieve. It is a relaxing break from my budget marker searches to find something I can afford that has a halfway decent review. I had one set that was so disappointing that I had to return it, and I am still searching to replace it. Watching one more review will probably make me nuts. I am caught in analysis paralysis induced by very favorable reviews countered by customer complaints not resolved by sellers. I have no marker experience at all and don't have any idea how to mix colors to obtain the ones I don't have. Why I have such a deep desire to learn to create art with no experience and no talent is a mystery to me. 8 years of freelance writing could no longer fulfill this need, because I couldn't learn digital photography, which editor's really want with article submissions. I truly love colors and that makes me want to be able to create with them. Sorry. What a mess I am, LOL. 🥵
hola debo admitir que tu arte es asombroso
muchisimas gracias 🥰
such pretty flowers 🙂 such lovely water pieces🥰
The colorless blender lightens colors too
ohh that's true, thank you for reminding me! I hadn't thought of using it ☺️
This was so inspiring and helpful - I'm just starting practicing with markers.
yay so glad it was helpful ☺️
First time watching you and I’m so impressed and inspired! Thank you!!
Hi Sofia. I just happened to watch this clip of yours today, that is about one year after you posted it. I'd like to thank you for your efforts to share your art. I enjoyed the clip very much.
Thank you it was very pretty and calming
thanks so much for watching 💕
With alcohol markers you can get a painted look by scribbling on a palette, then diluting that with isopropyl alcohol, then use a brush
And also you are a natural!!!!
i believe I will try the markers. Beautiful work
thank you 💕 they're a lot of fun
love this!!
ดูละมุนมาก สวยมาก ดูเพลินมากๆ ขอบคุณที่ทำคลิปน่ารักๆแบบนี้นะคะ
It would be nice if you mentioned the markers you used. Thanks for your videos! They helped me a lot.

so beautiful
Thank you 💕
A love all of them! And the most favorite is on 4:37. I swear it is so alive-like ♥
Nice it was perfect 😊
Beautiful work
Thank you so much :)
I love everything you drew! I am not an artist just a hack with hopes of developing my artistic whim. I have a large set of these markers and am just learning how to use them. One question: what notebook were you using? The markers didn’t seem to bleed through the paper. Happy painting!
Wow! You achieved such realism with markers. I enjoyed watching your technique and listening to your commentary. What weight of paper are you using? You had no bleed through of ink at all. Such great work. Please keep posting.
thanks so much! The weight of the paper is 270gsm, there is some bleed through with it especially when layering certain colors a lot! If it bleeds a lot i tend to skip the page ☺️
Flipo con como usas los rotuladores!!! Me enchants 😊😊
Gracias 🥹🥰😘
Loved and subscribed. What a video. So relaxing and the work is just stunning. Just getting into color and want to through markers for many reasons, but I have two questions about materials:
1. For pen & ink and alcohol, whats the best journal paper in terms of weight and material? I've only used water-based markers and have heard alcohol goes right through and warps/wrinkles most paper?
2. For ink: I see you using a Micron with zero bleed but wonder if there's anything I need to know about all of that? With my fountain pen and water based markers, I just had both experiences of totally fixed black lines when coloring over and some of the colors bleeding the ink. It's confusing. Does alcohol react differently? Seeing very affordable Ohuhu sets with a huge range in the palette and wold love to dive in. That tip about having light colors can't be overstated. Almost everything I have is way too heavy.
Thanks very much and stay cool. Great channel!
Amazing!! So talented 🩵🩵
thank you sm!!!
Lovely jubbly
WOWWWW ❤❤❤ I LOVE THESE
so beautiful❤❤
so beautiful what you can do with these markers😍🏞️
thank you so much 🥰
wow! I can't believe all the studies you did! Super cool! How long did it take you to make all these studies?
thank you 🥰 Each study took between 40 mins to an hour-ish. I definitely got quicker as I progressed because at first I spent a lot of the time selecting the colors 😅
@@sofiapavanmacias hahaha yesss! The color picking takes forever! The same happened to me, but keeping the swatches close by helped a lot 🥰
woooow 😮ur art is soooo good
🥹 thank you so much 💕
Wow that's really beautiful! As a beginner with alcohol markers, what kind of sketch book did you use? And how was the bleed through?
Wonderful
Subscribed! Great work 🙌
thank you so much 💕
Super duper cool 😎
Love this!
thanks so much! ❤️
Oustanding job!
Fantastic ❤
Damn I should've bought the brush tip ones instead of the hard tips 'cause I can't achieve the style you do TT
I got the 216 set for Christmas
wonderful video💚💚
These look anazing. I just hope in the intervening months you got a pop filter.
Just curious about the bleed-through on your book. Looks like you were using heavy paper, but I figure the backsides aren't usable?!
Your hands are so pretty
thank you :)
Just a quick question (sorry about my spelling if i spelled anything wrong) however do you use anything underneath when you colour in your sketchbook with the ohuhu markers underneath the papper or no?
I don't use anything underneath, there is some bleed through but I will skip the page if it goes through a lot! Ohuhu has those plastic sheets you can put underneath the paper if you need
La mas creativa y talentosa!!
🥹🥹🥹 gracias siempre por el apoyo ❤️
Alcohol markers?
Lovely work with markers!! I wondered about the bleed thru of the markers in your sketch book.?? Is there a particular one you recommend when using markers???
Thank so much Sandi! The sketchbook is really good with no bleeding on the page and minimal to some bleed thru to the next page, however I didn’t do much blending with this style so that also may be a reason why. I used to use smooth bristol paper with markers which I loved for heavy blending. Depending on your use, I think the one I use in the video is great, I’ve linked it in the description box!
Didn't they bleed or spread wide on paper while coloring cuz i face that problem bleed is not a problem but they spread too much maybe i use thin paper by the way my paper is 120gsm what's yours.
They don't spread on this paper at all which is why I really love it! But they do bleed a bit to the other side of the page and this depends on how much blending I do. This paper is 270 gsm
Thanks
Do you think it's better to take them with the double fine tip and brush or better brush and chisel?
Thank you very much for the video , It help me a lot 🤩
I think this depends on how you want to use them, I think the chisel can create really cool marks on the page! I have the set with the fine tip, and I do like it as my illustrations have been on the smaller side :)
@@sofiapavanmacias OK, thanks a lot ! I guess I'll get the ones with the brush and fine tip because I can't afford to get 2 sets just to have both tips
Hello i love you,re marker drawings. Witch paper do you use? 😊
Would love to see of the references.
nice❤
I made a big huge mistake, help.... when I bought my ohuhu markers several years ago (they are still good) I bought the chisel nib. I see every one is using the brush nib now, what can I do?
👁️ ❤Ohuhu!! I have a set of 100 Ohuhu markers. I enjoy doing paintings of different types of trees 🌲 🌳
Great. What type of sketchbook did not bleed through? thanks
Your artworks are so beautiful ❤. Can you let me know the brand of the sketch book ?
Thank you! This is the Stillman and Birn zeta series sketchbook ☺️
@@sofiapavanmacias thank you ❤️. Keep making your wonderful art
do the markers bleed on your sketchbook?
they didn't bleed at all on this sketchbook! I found that it kept the colors really vibrant too. However, I will say i didn't do tons of heavy blending with this style which I know can sometimes create more bleed if the page gets super saturated.
editing this answer cos I'm realizing you were probably asking about bleed through to the next page, my bad! It does bleed through to the next page a bit, and again it depends on how much blending you do. I was thinking more about bleed like on the the actual page when you put down the color and sometimes it can spread out (which doesn't happen on this paper)
@@sofiapavanmacias could you tell us which sketchbooks you were using?
@@T-on-the-Tube yes! This is a Stillman and Birn sketchbook, I linked the exact one in the description box ☺
Is this a good jounal for alcohol markers? Doesn't it bleed a lot?
Which sketchbook is this ?
this is the stillman and birn zeta series- i tagged it in the description ☺️
Can you tell me which shade you use for sky give me the name pls
