At that time I came across Fake Love, and the pre chorus lyrics changed my whole life. I realized it was all fake love, nothing else. If BTS weren't there for me, I wouldn't have been alive today

Fake Love is my FAV song .....💜🥺 Its a Masterpiece😭Remember that - BTS all songs are connected & its makes Storylines ( BTS Universe ). In their all MV's there are many symbols which connect others songs with each others........
Their songs can be interpreted in numerous ways and they always encourage fans and listeners to draw our own conclusions beyond their original intention behind a piece. For Fake Love, seeing how it’s part of Tear, it talks about how the person in the relationship is beginning to realise how they’ve changed themselves to fit what (they believe) their partner wants, effectively erasing themselves and putting up a façade just to keep the relationship alive. They realise how a love based on lies is fake and how both of them created something that doesn’t actually exists. In the end it ties in with the series in that not loving oneself leads people to be willing to change themselves at their core if it means people will love them, because they believe themselves to be unlovable as they are or believe they have to be a certain way to be loved.
I always love the line “I wish love was as perfect as love itself.” The idea of love is always enticing. On the outside it’s beautiful, full of caring company, and/or doing favors for someone. It’s only when you experience love that you know the true struggle of give, take, and healthily being a better man/woman for your partner. Love looks whimsical until you get involved in your own relationship and, not only do you have to look into your partner’s flaws, but you must look into your own self. If it’s not a good balance, then where is the love going? Who is it for? And, most importantly, are you changing for the better or worst? You could write an essay about this song…
Fake love is the song that picked me up and threw me down the rabbit hole. Luckily was on the weekly top 40 in the states, and that’s how it caught my attention.
I love the moment when we realize how much we're starting to recognize them individually and how much we love them already - you're definitely locked in at this point haha More recommendations? I honestly think the best way to go through their discography is starting at the beginning, I know ARMY (as well as myself) would love to see album-style reactions and not many people do them; also because there could be a gem that ends up being your favorite song of all time that no one recommends. All in the spirit of loving music, though, do what makes you two most comfortable, we'll be here for the ride regardless 💜
This song is my absolute favorite and it makes me so excited seeing DJ's different stages of enjoying the song- from leaning back, then bopping his head, then leaning forward and grooving!🤣 love it.
This was the music video that turned me from a casual BTS listener to a full blown ARMY. This is the song that made me turn on the subtitles, listen to their message, and decide I needed to learn their names. This song will always have a very special place in my heart and this message is so important. If you are having to wear a mask and hide your true self, then it cannot be real love. You have to love yourself first.
When BTS went to the USA and did American Hustle Life, the vocal line were sen for a lesson with Iris Williams and she loved V voice too. Have a watch of AHL
Almost everything you see in this mv is not greenscreen. The floor falling behind jungkook, the water in the room jimin is in, some fire scenes not all and the wind and explosions in jin's room. GOSH i just love the sets here. Also fake love plays A HUGE part in the BU (storyline) and you might not get a few things without making connections to the BU. Every little thing like the snickers at 3:01 plays a part in the storyline. funfact: 5:04 read what's on the wall upside down
V's voice really captures the tempo of the slow songs. I do not know if you guys are familiar with "slowed and reverb" videos of songs on RUclips but that is literally his voice, it sounds quite unbelievablu deep and big, instead, his voice does not need to be slowed and pitched down. He naturally has that tone. And contrasts Jimin here with that his soft, light, and high tone.
Fake Love and Singularity are both from their album Love Yourself:Tear. Fake Love is their title/main track and Singularity is the intro of the album or comeback trailer as called.
There’s so many ways this song could be interpreted, but today on a day in January of 2022, this song and MV for me explain how it feels to be suffering from depression and trauma. How friends don’t like the way I am, distance themselves or talk about me because I’m no longer fun and happy. I literally tried to erase myself and make myself their doll, mold a pretty lie to please them while I suffered. The past two years I’ve distanced myself (selfishly maybe) from anyone that doesn’t bring me positivity and the other way around. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made and I only use my phone for RUclips and to contact my mom. A lot of my mental progress comes from BTS’ songs and it’s such a healing experience every time again. I love how you could bend the meaning in any way you want, and it’ll relate to your situation somehow. 👏🏽💜
Fake Love will always hold a special place in my heart because it is the first song i ever heard by BTS. During quarantine in 2020 is when i discovered BTS.
Every song will make more sense if you take a moment to see the storyline of their albums and the context. Just by the chronology you can see the different stages in their lives. They cover many sides of knowing yourself. They are growing with their audience and singing about every aspect in life. Very honest and relatable, that's why it doesn't matter how old are you, it will inevitable make you feel something you went through or living at the moment. They are that good!
You are right - you found the other side of BTS. Compared to what you first saw in Butter and Dynamite…you are finding their range. It’s nice to see your appreciate. This is on the Tear album, which generally is about how you can’t change yourself/be someone you are not and truly love another. Basically you need to love your self before you love another (Answer - the next album in the series). A lot of the songs from the Tear album (and very obviously the song Tear) Used the feeling and emotions that were felt, not only by the BTS members, but from their staff and producers. Their choreographer used those feelings and created a dance that would express it. There is so much thought out into this music and it is so multilayered and interesting. They have a Japanese song from this time called Let Go. I highly suggest finding the live performance with subtitles. It was going to be their last song together as a group and it is truly an emotional song and the dance embodies that. I get chills every time. I still can’t believe we almost lost them and am so happy they found the path to move forward! Love your reactions. I have NEVER written something this long before. I feel a bit shocked. Haha
They made this video without using cgi. Everything the floor dropping, the water and fire are all real. And you should also react with them singing this song at the bbma.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Things new reactors never truly believe Army about is that 1. Yes all the songs are made to be good they don’t make filler songs (it might not be to your taste but all songs are top work) 2. Almost all songs have deep or layered meaning, some it’s obvious some subtle but it’s rarely just “pop” with nonsense lyrics. 3. They really do use or blend a ridiculous number of styles of music. As baby Army you now have crossed over into seeing all 3 welcome there is still more so much more music.
Fun fact, this was BTS' first top 10 hit in the US! For your next reactions, I recommend Spring Day, I Need U and Run - they're 3 songs essential to the BTS discography, when things really took a turn for them and they blew up. Spring Day is probably their biggest song in Korea, there's a lot of important references in the music video including to the Sewol ferry tragedy, so I definitely suggest watching an analysis or explanation for that one. Run and I Need U are from the most beautiful moments in life/young forever era which is really special to BTS, and they have the "Bangtan Universe" storyline running through it (which Fake Love does as well!). Also I know the visuals are fun but you guys should try listening to their work as albums as well, BTS are definitely album artists and their work is super thematic and interconnected. They have a few trilogies and their discography divides well into "eras" that really showcase where they were at that point and their growth. It really makes a difference to listen to the full body of work like it was intended! Take your time though, I'm glad you guys are having fun discovering BTS. There's a lot to get through haha
Love your reaction as always. 💜 I'm like MCA, that's how i recognized each BTS member when I first knew BTS, I recognized them by the way they sing. You can easily recognized BTS individually by their voices because none of the members have the same sounds, even the rap line have their own flow when rapping. The reason why they can do any song genres. Putting their voices together in one song sounds amazing.
This song is really really special to me, especially as an Army. It was this song that made me into fall into this rabbit hole..and I don't wanna get out of it!
I like that the song is self reflective. Most songs you hear put blame on the other person when the relationship starts to fail. But I like that this one speaks about the choices the singer made which caused the problems. He caused the fake love. Think about how often you hear such a message in American pop music.
You should watch the behind the scenes shooting of this MV.. all of those scenes where shot..I mean really shot,. No CGI, no effects.. the fire, waterfall, floor which dismantles when JK runs,. Snickers.. and the scene with V, where the entire wall had mobile phones strapped...Everything 💜💜
The choreography and the hands on the wall represent See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil. This is the first video I watched that made me an ARMY and I can never stop watching it.
The crazy part of this mv is that nothing in the video was CGI (The water scene, the fire scene, and the pile of snickers are all real). It’s such a beautiful masterpiece.
I'm sure someone already said this but, no cgi. All the effects in this video were real, fire, water, flashing lights, and the floor falling out to name a few. You can see the behind the scenes of this video. It's so fascinating to me!
첫 음 시작과 동시에 안무 그리고 배경이 압도적이다...미친 색감, 7명이 분주히 눈을 뗄수없게 해놓고 멜로디는 격하게 나를 흔들고 있다. 걍 뻑 가는 띵곡! 마스터피스 💜💜💜As soon as the first note starts, the choreography and the background are overwhelming... Crazy colors, the 7tanies are busy making it impossible to take my eyes off the video, and the melody shakes me violently. Just a go-to song! master piece💜💘
I love how you guys do this videos, because don’t pause the music video for making comments, instead you concentrate on watching it and then make the comments, I love that
Fake Love is another masterpiece. It can be enjoyed at the surface and what you discussed but there is a a whole lot more if you dig deeper into the BU. Warning the BU is dark and deep. It comes with alternate universes and timelines BUT the music associated with the BU is still banging and can be enjoyed just for the fact that it is great music. You guys are great! Thanks! 💜💜💜
If you’re pretending to be someone that a person you love (friend/bf/gf/etc.) will like/love you for, it’s fake love. You changed yourself/molded into the person that he/she/they would like that you start to lose yourself and forget who you are. It’s fake love because you’re not being you. But if we learn to love and accept ourselves, then people would love us for who we are. I loved this song and used to play it over and over at first (few years ago) before I went in to read the lyrics. I assumed it was an emo relationship with a person who you found out they don’t truly love you, but turns put it was not quite that. It was much deeper than I thought. Every time I read lyrics after jamming to a BTS song first (at the time), I get blown away every time finding out the meaning was not what I expected from the title of the song. Fake Love was a big song in the Love Yourself album series/era and later so was Idol. There are amazing award show performances of this song. Each one is crazy amazing, especially MMA 2018 and MAMA 2018. If you’re going to look for an epic performance, watch those.
Here are the links, but just to let you know there are other great songs in it. Maybe you might want to watch their music videos first before going to the performance? Up to you, but just letting you know there are no subtitles. MMA 2018 (Fake Love, Airplane Pt. 2, Idol): ruclips.net/video/UZ_9b0dyl0Q/видео.html MAMA 2018 Japan (Fake Love + Anpanman): ruclips.net/video/6v8p3FNE9Og/видео.html Bonus one, which doesn’t have a full performance of Fake Love, but it is an awesome show still. Prob my favorite Airplane Pt.2 performance and the vibe of felt electric. MAMA 2018 Hong Kong (Airplane Pt 2, ORUL8!/Fake Love, Idol): ruclips.net/video/rPP5tu4ZvCE/видео.html
The most interesting thing is that Fake Love's scenarios are not CGI, they are real. Fake Love is about someone setting themselves apart for someone to be loved, who changes and wears a mask to be loved and accepted. It's about giving yourself so much to the point of not knowing who you are anymore, of not having self-love to love yourself before someone else.
"Deep meaning" yes, many of our *B T S* songs have that, that's why we love them and so glad that you both paid attention to the lyric. Can't wait for the next one :D
There is a Fake Love (extended version MV) that is a rock remix. All of the odd stuff (water, fire, mirrors, Snickers, phones, etc...) are part of the BU/Bangtan Universe, the ongoing fictional story line that has been told since 2015, in lots of their MVs, a webtoon, tweets, books, award show VCRs, short films, and highlight videos.
I really appreciate the fact that they're making an honest effort to appreciate and understand BTS. Love these reactions and looking forward to all the bts reactions you have yet to post! Borahae!💜
This MV is related to the BTS Universe story line. You can watch videos summarising the storyline and you'll understand the symbolism of each member with particular elements in the MVs. For eg - JHope with Snickers, Suga with fire, Jimin with water, Jin with the Flower in the glass casing and mirror shattering etc... You'll notice these elements in all of their MVs that are part of the BTS Universe. 💜
I am a newer and older BTS fan and I am super impressed at how talented they are! They do different genres, sing in different languages, beautiful music, meaningful lyrics that speak to universal thoughts and feelings, amazing visually artistic music videos, and outstanding and difficult choreography. They are the whole complete package! Check out Airplane Pt. 2 (Korean or Japanese version), DNA, Life Goes on, Make It Right, Let Go, Coffee, and Just One Day, I Need U, Save Me, Your Eyes Tell, Love Is Not Over, Young Forever, Run, Mikrokosmaos, Louder than Bombs, Zero O'Clock, Film Out, Lights, and Telepathy! BTS Jungkook's Euphoria, If You, Only then, Still With You, My Time, and cover songs. BTS V's Inner Child, Snow Flower, Scenery, Christmas Tree, Blue and Grey, It's definitely You (V and Jin), and 4 O'Clock (V and RM). RM's Moonchild.
BTS' formal vocal coach said that in fake love era she trained all the vocalists but she remembered how high the keys were to V esp that he's a baritone but she said she was shocked And proud cuz he came back to her hitting them high notes . Also in one of the survival shows called Iland where they made the group enhypen. One of the missions were to cover fake love and imagine most of the trainees were tenors but couldn't hit V's parts as high as him but they were able to do Jimin's parts ! which made them struggle a lot esp while dancing , he's that good we call him a baritone legend for a reason
Same here! V’s voice is very special! Have you reacted to Stigma yet? It’s a must, especially V’s live performance! BTS is the best! There’s nothing like BTS!

I just love love love Fake love. BTS lyrics makes us look at important things that we sometimes overlook in life.💜💜💜
"Smoky" is how I'd describe V's voice.
Gotta get into Bangtan Universe to get all the symbolism in this video …
You guys would love the rock version of this song. It also has a MV with additional scenes
“Fake love Extended Version”
"I need you" and "Run" are two great song to check out next 😀
This is the first MV my granddaughters showed me and I fell in love with BTS.
Their songs are so damn deeper. Blood sweat tears, fake love, the truth UNTOLD and almost every song has a story and you need to know it.
I love the moment when we realize how much we're starting to recognize them individually and how much we love them already - you're definitely locked in at this point haha
More recommendations? I honestly think the best way to go through their discography is starting at the beginning, I know ARMY (as well as myself) would love to see album-style reactions and not many people do them; also because there could be a gem that ends up being your favorite song of all time that no one recommends.
All in the spirit of loving music, though, do what makes you two most comfortable, we'll be here for the ride regardless 💜
This song is my absolute favorite and it makes me so excited seeing DJ's different stages of enjoying the song- from leaning back, then bopping his head, then leaning forward and grooving!🤣 love it.
"WHY YOU SAD? I DON'T KNOW NAN MOLLA!~" Is international army favorite fan chant that turn into our Huge meme at that time
This was the music video that turned me from a casual BTS listener to a full blown ARMY.
This is such a classic song 💜
V has a song called Stigma. You guys will love this one.
Every little thing like the snickers at 3:01 plays a part in the storyline. funfact: 5:04 read what's on the wall upside down
BTS is a journey. Every song is thoughtfully crafted. One of a kind - truly.
I will never get over V's voice. 💜
hearing you say that you can differentiate between their voices now makes me happy 🥺
No-one can truly someone else without first loving themselves.
You should watch the behind the scenes for this, it's so cool!
I love how you can’t help but bob your head when Hobi comes in.💜
I love BTS so much💜💜💜
V's voice.. is the best thing that I discovered.
And all 7 of them a close second 😅💜
Fake Love and Singularity are both from their album Love Yourself:Tear.
Fake Love is their title/main track and
Singularity is the intro of the album or comeback trailer as called.
Fake love and BST are the songs that I got introduced to BTS through.
Wow...I was really waiting for FAKE LOVE REACTION,...thankyou,I love this song so much,it made me an ARMY
*That type of voice that always attracted me.*
Yup that's my bias and now yours too. Breathy, baritone, and brilliant vocals😌💜
💜 I'm like MCA, that's how i recognized each BTS member when I first knew BTS,
I recognized them by the way they sing. You can easily recognized BTS individually by their voices because none of the members have the same sounds, even the rap line have their own flow when rapping. The reason why they can do any song genres. Putting their voices together in one song sounds amazing.
Tae's voice is so unique. I love how soulful and deep he can go and yet he is able to sing high and touch your heart that way too. 💜
I had to tell you BTS rarely uses green screens on their MVs. So the water, the fire, and the floor falling down, they were all real!
I love that you take your time to watch all their videos and songs... and appreciate their evolution and dynamism
cool thing about this video is that there's no cgi! The water, the fire, the floor while jungkook was running everything was real
Fake Love, one of theyr best song
Fake love music video and choreo is too 3 favorite even yearssss later
This song is really really special to me, especially as an Army. It was this song that made me into fall into this rabbit hole..and I don't wanna get out of it!
one of my favorite song of bts...nice to hear that you can now recognized who is singing thru their voices...enjoy your journey with bts 💜💜💜
This songgggggggg
I’m so glad you all feel that way about Vs beautiful voice. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💜
Fake love is easily in my top 3 favorite BTS songs. It’s so good.
Thanks! 💜💜💜
You probably have not seen and heard spring day yet. The QUEEN of emotion.
Beautifully shot, symbolisms, emotionally deep lyrics that's relatable. 💜 I love V's soulful & deep voice.💜

Bonus one, which doesn’t have a full performance of Fake Love, but it is an awesome show still. Prob my favorite Airplane Pt.2 performance and the vibe of felt electric.

"Deep meaning" yes, many of our *B T S* songs have that, that's why we love them and
so glad that you both paid attention to the lyric.
Did anyone else see them use the actions for see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil..... this is a very strong song. Loved it.
The part that symbolizes V with all the phones ringing behind cause RM wasnt able to pick up his call when he needed him always hits me
Same here! V’s voice is very special! Have you reacted to Stigma yet? It’s a must, especially V’s live performance! BTS is the best! There’s nothing like BTS!
V's soulful deep voice so distinct ...thats why I love his voice...
the snicker is part of the BTS UNIVERSE, sound funny but it is, and its deep
