I deeply admire how they rhymed "high" with "technology" and "today".

yeah its like pitbull levels there.
I actually like that about the song :)
reminds me of the joke about Australian pronunciation...

This is painfully accurate.

Same. Came here from a Doctor Who episode (that my sister was watching, I didn't even come directly in contact with it)
yep, this one and the one of Jan Egeland.
Absolute masterpiece
@@DocRoe I'm on yet another round, one video every other day. I think Massachusets is my favourite. The musical arrangement there alone is of very high quality. Like all their songs there's tons of references hidden everywhere and I just love how Stonehenge is such a parody on Groban-like american famous singers showing off their skills, whilst these guys do a pretty good swipe at it for fun.

Stonehenge was in the news and I immediately thought of this song. This is so good and genius. It reflects how many of us have it when we think of seemingly random things at times searching for answers. Thanks 🙏

2023 now - I can testify that this song is as awesome as ever. Does'nt get old - much like the Stonehenge..
Soon 2024!
The ridiculous thing is that, even though the lyrics are obviously silly, they use all the great musical/vocal techniques that have been used throughout the past 50 years. If you'd just consider the song itself its totally brilliant and catchy.
Humans learn.
boy
the lyrics aren't silly ok
Bas Waaijer and that is why we listen to it. On repeat.
It's brilliant on so many levels. The very topic itself being so silly and inconsequential, the amazing lyrics, the great score. Then to wrap it up and package it into such a great work.
I'd like ur comment but i dont wanna ruin the number!!!!!
Okay lets all just take a moment to realize that he had a conversation with the chorus in the middle of the song.

I bought my first car based on this song. It was a 1996 Honda Civic 1.4, "a car you can trust".
I can witness that the statement is completely true. Even though the car was 21 years old when I bought it (149 000km), I made another 100 000 km in the next 2 years in all kinds of weather conditions and it never failed nor betrayed me.
Thanks, Ylvis, for the good recommendation.
Neverminda the car, let's talk about the henge
Still one of my favorite parts about this is song is that when it came out, people thought he was sponsored by Honda for the Civic part. But now, he was genuinely trying to sell his car and figured putting it in the song was the best way to do it. Which to be fair, is a remarkably smart idea if you're famous.
They need to install speakers at Stonehenge and play this song on loop. Dead serious.

It honors the dead while being aligned with key astronomical events on the calendar such as the winter solstice. The smaller stones were moved from Wales suggesting it was a union of tribes.
