Definitely. I think maybe they will release some updated ones, maybe. It feels like they had some extra hands from other figures and was like, let's slap those on there, lol.
Wasn't enough to get me to swap out my Badcube. There's lots to like about it, but lots that I just can't get by - the big hands, the blue lights, the thick tires and it looks like he's wearing a baseball cap that's pulled down too close to his eyes. Great review as always!
I have backcube red alert it really good for that character but I didn't like the windows on the forearms for sideswipe. I was hoping this would be better but I don't like the shoulders.
I got this guy cause I didn't have any sideswipe in my collection, but this one is OK at best. A placeholder till something better comes along. It feels more like a toy and less like a collectible. The hands are ridiculous, I replaced them with the piledrivers, he's got a shiny finish but not a premium finish, and the head sculpt leaves much to be desired. Yeah, definitely a placeholder, I wouldn't say it'd be worth replacing what you have if you've got another version in your collection. Thanks for the review.
Ngl the car mode is super plain and the transformation does not have to be this complex also the diecast chromed feet just look awful on him not to mention how skinny and and lanky he looks nothing about that robot mode particularly sticks out this is somehow a downgrade from the takara toy which is at this point 12 years old

First thing I noticed in bot mode were that his hands look too big.

I don't have Badcube, but from pictures, I wouldn't.
Seems to be a definite upgrade from the Takara, especially the bot mode.
Definitely more toon. It'll probably be replaced by me if a better one comes along, but it is an upgrade if you want the toon look

Agree with a lot of your points.
It's definitely not a downgrade from takara. That thing was an eyesore since it was first released.
Dx9; the 3rd party company that just doesn't get it right. Easy pass from me.
