I loved when he won his first Emmy just about a decade ago and he got TWO standing ovations! First when he actually won at the Creative Arts Emmys and when he presented at the Primetime Emmys and his co-presenter/co-star Jim Parsons brought it up, leading to yet another standing ovation! He’s very beloved 😊
My favorite Bob Newhart fact was that he lived with his parents till he was 29 yrs old. Famous stand up and only moved out of his parents house when he got married 😂
I don't know why but that news shot of Buddy at Central Park had me laughing my ass off. It looked like that old footage of Bigfoot caught on film. 😂
I had avoided watching "Elf" for years because I wasn't a big fan of Will's, but I think he actually killed it in this movie. The whole film is just so freaking adorable, it's impossible not to love.
A modern Christmas classic. Can't believe next year will be the 20th anniversary of this film! Absolute home run, thanks for doing this.

"I never expected a movie to be so silly, but so beautiful" ❤ Yes!! So glad you loved it. A lot of folks don't like this movie and Will gets on their nerves like you mentioned he has in other movies/shows. But this has always been the perfect Christmas movie for me; a mix of kid and adult humor with so much heart! I think I saw it three times in the movie theater when I was around 13 and it was new. Buddy shows us how just a bit of kindness and cheer can make an impact on everyone we meet. Thanks for your great reaction 🥰

11:22 It once was a real place, but no longer is. This movie was made in 2003; the once-popular Gimbel’s Department Store had gone out of business in 1987. Although the store had been closed for sixteen years, the New York City location was a primary setting for this film. Exterior shots were filmed at the Textile Building at 295 Fifth Avenue with visual effects added later, while interior shots were filmed in the 34th Street Macy's flagship store. That last part is ironic because Macy’s and Gimbel’s had once been very big rivals for shoppers, particularly in New York City.
Also, the head Elf is played by Peter Billingsley who played the lead character, Ralphie, in “A Christmas Story”.
I’m not a Will Ferrall either, but he was perfect for this role and I’ve watched it every year since it came out.

Fun Fact: The elf Ming Ming, who appears briefly in the beginning of the film, is played by Peter Billingsley, who starred as Ralphie Parker in the classic holiday film A Christmas Story (1983).
Inspired Costumes Fact: The design for Santa's Workshop as well as the elf uniforms come from Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964). The elf uniforms completely mirror the ones from the television special. Most of the animals in the North Pole are also designed to look like the same form of stop-motion animation used in Rudolph.
Guerilla Filmmaking Fact: On the final day of shooting in New York City, it was just director Jon Favreau, Will Ferrell, and a camera man driving around the city looking for locations to shoot. They would jump out and ask pedestrians if they would be willing to be extras for some quick cash, while Ferrell paraded around acting like Buddy. Much of the montage when Buddy first arrives in New York City was filmed then, such as when he is getting his shoes shined, and jumping between traffic. Several minor traffic accidents occurred when Will Ferrell walked through the Lincoln Tunnel in his costume, because people were so surprised (and distracted from their driving) to see him wearing an elf outfit.
To be honest, I don't like this movie much on a personal level. I don't hate it and it's an objectively good, and funny, movie. However the older I get, the more I enjoy situational comedy more over "LOL, I'M SO RANDOM!" humor.

This is one of those Christmas movies that I thoroughly enjoy every year. I don’t watch too many will Farrell movies but this one really hit home and it has some Beautiful sentimental scenes that brought tears to my eyes. The humor is spot on and James Caan was fantastic in it as well. Thank you for making this video. So happy you enjoyed it. 😊

One of the best Christmas movies - the king is still National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.
Jim Carey was first offered the part of Buddy back in 1993, the project sat around for a while and he was no longer available, so they brought in Will F.

Not sure if you have seen the movie A Christmas story but the actor who played Ralphie in that movie played the elf with the glasses and the six white puffs in his jacket and he also co produced this movie because he has gone on to be a successful movie producer who works a lot with Jon Favreau and they produced Iron man as well.

Apparently will Ferrell eats very healthy in his real life but he was eating so much sugar in this that he was getting painful migraines from all the sugar.

The news footage where they show Buddy walking through the park is that it is an homage to the famous Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot sighting. I've always thought that was really funny.

The whole setup at the north pole is based on the Christmas movie Rudolph. that's why they all have the hats and outfits like that and the talking snowman that was in the movie
Gimbles was a real department store in NY. I don't think it's there anymore, but it was very popular once upon a time in the earlier part of the Twentieth Century
4:24 Santa's favorite cookie is the plain old raisin cookie, because nobody but me ever made them and left them out. Raisin is one of the finest cookies ever made.

Yes, I heard what the man said about dogs; but - - consider the fact that he is snow, after all. Gimbels was across the street from Macy's in NYC for 76 years, closing its doors in 1986. Have you seen Miracle on 34th Street? The rival store to Macy's in that movie (and at that time IRL also) was Gimbels. Jobs where employees where costumes like that often have locker rooms and showers as well.
If Santa has good taste, his favourite cookie is probably the ginger snap with real ginger. My kittens, Agnes and Winnie, can't get enough of your puppy behind you.
Stepbrothers is Will Farrell’s best movie. And as an added bonus, you get the hilarity of John C. Reilly and others as a bonus too! Mary Steenburgen (the mom in Elf) is in it and also hilarious.
