This is extremely accurate stuff. I have read some books in my youth, about the Kid before. Alot I had forgotten over the years has come back to me because of this video. This video can be trusted by my own opinion. Thanks for this. 👍
Great lesson History my friend 👍your Vocal commentary is one of the Best out there! Thanks for sharing--just gotta wonder how many Bullets -Doc Scurlock’ felt whizzing by dodged in His lifetime 🇺🇸
I use to think I was born 150 years to late. But when I hear stories like this and what the Comanche did to Texas settlers I'm good with where I'm at right here right now.
Ok I have an observation, BTW LOVE the Video👏👏👏👏. How many of us have heard that in those days most people never traveled 10 miles from the place they were born? My Grandfather was born in the middle of the Appalachians in Georgia and claimed until he left home he had only been to the closest town that took 2 days each way sharing a mule with 8 siblings, which was roughly 20 miles. So why is it that Billy came from NYC, Doc came from the ALA/Ga border and many many others. My question becomes was this some greatest generation propaganda or did these people really just break normal convention with their travel's? I gotta be honest I still can't wrap my head around traveling to Northfield by the James/Younger gang for a single bank robbery. Were they more prone to travel because of their mentality which lead them to become outlaws or are we hook winked into believing "they died 10 miles from where they were born", cliche'?
It would did a section on bass reaves one of the only black cowboy's he was a bounty hunter go out and round up the outlaws, one of the spaghetti westerns was based on this guy.
Great video, thanks a lot! I’m just wondering: in the movie Young Guns 2 Doc dies in a gunfight with Parret. So they made this up? I thought those movies were pretty historically correct.
The 1st " Young Guns " movie with Kieffer Southerland playing Doc is one of my favorite western portrayals.
Did you watch the sequel?
Sweet Jesus. This should be a televison series... so many twists and turns and different places and people. Can not say this guy lived a dull life.
Well, it’s already a movie
He did something few gunfighters from the old west did, live to an old age.
Right you are. I wonder if he had so many instances where he was close to death that he realized enough is enough, I’m running the post office.
wyatt earp
Billy the kid live to be 90 years old.

Thanks for listening. Correct! Hollywood took some creative liberties with Doc
I worked in the cemetery department in the city of Eastland. I took care of his and his family's grave sites.
Always though the regulators were something made up for the young guns movie. Ive been on this subject for a couple of hours now.
Is this really just a person making a video out of the Wikipedia page. Nice.
👍
Thanks for watching!
How come they killed Doc off in the movie? Why does Hollywood does Hollywood take stuff out and put other things in that never happened?
because keefer Sutherland asked to be kill off. and charle already died in the 1st movie. Charle bowdre is the one that really died where doc died
Thanks for the added context!
Doc Scurlock's cheese factory? Oh HELL no! 🤮🤣🤣
