Kentucky lands two Elite Shooters, Koby Brea & Kerr Kriisa

- Mark Pope’s debut roster in Lexington is coming together in a hurry, Kentucky adding not one but two commitments in a matter of hours on Wednesday. Dayton’s Koby Brea got things rolling to start the day, followed by a surprise pledge from West Virginia’s Kerr Kriisa.
Brea joins the program as the nation’s top 3-point shooter, someone Pope referred to as a “dangerous, dangerous man” at the time of his signing. He knocked down 49.8% of his threes on 6.1 attempts per contest a year ago, leading college basketball in effective field goal percentage among guards at 71.5% and was second in true shooting percentage among guards at 72.2%.

I agree. He cares, he loves Kentucky as much as any other fan. He knows basketball and I believe knows basketball coaching. He is one of ours, and hungry to have the job and do it well.

Hope we can get Jaxson now and use the last three spots on some talented freshmen. Then Pope will have a contender his first year. Am really happy with Pope and the overall direction of Kentucky basketball now. Coach Pope is serious about winning year to year. Think we will see different kinds of championship banners really soon.

When I hear UK has signed another Great Shooter I can only hope they don't choke in the first round of the NIT. The only Knock Down I want to hear is the No Layup rule. Great Shooters lose their stones when they sign with UK. It's like great shooting in any tournament is against the law. Ho hum.

I just think we are getting a lot of average players. Hope I'm wrong. Hope Pope does well but I'm skeptical. I was skeptical of Calipari for good reason and I'm skeptical here.
You are getting high 4 star caliber guys that have shown you over and over how much better than the one and done are. Of you actually look at the advanced stats you will see why many ppl are pumped. Just with Williams, Oweh, Butler, and Garrison alone with the advanced stats they all 4 would have ranked as the 4 best defenders in the SEC. Add in Robinson and this team is as good anybody. I mean Reed Shepherd averaged 12 a game and was a superstar and he was ranked in the low 5 star-high 4 star range like most of our dudes add in the fact Pope has barely been in the job for 2 weeks it's amazing. You will learn with Pope he is an analytical dude who breaks down what fits in the system he runs. Now will we be great idk but we will compete with anybody if they can gel together. We absolutely need Robinson to finish this off.

@@jimcooper479 Tennessee has played much better than us over the last 5 years. Duke as well although they have challenges this year with their coach as well. I like how Rick Barnes has built his program there.
@@wesleygordon9413 me too man, me too. Those stats have been broken down by a guy that breaks then down for a living and he said Kentucky will be just fine. Pope's offense and system will give these dudes plenty of chances to breakout. But these are the dudes that have been winning titles. Just need Robinson in my opinion.

His offense moves too much for a slug fest. This will be similar to a Pitino team. Win or Lose those teams played their asses off all 90 ft.
