- Lawn mowing can be fun or laborious, it all comes down to your tools. If you have good tools, then you'll love doing it, but if it constantly cuts up and the battery life is short then it'll be a pain.

REVIEW
This is the best 36V mower we've used so far, while it's heavier than a Ryobi or Ozito, it moves better thanks to the well engineered wheels, making it very smooth to push. Regarding power, it's also stronger and wider than other 36V mowers. For battery life, I've experienced it range from as little as just over 10 minutes to at most just over 20 minutes, depending on the conditions. You get 2 included 5Ah batteries and one charger, making the recharge cycle a pain, so while there are options for forking out for larger batteries and a dual charger - they are very expensive. So only consider going down that route if you're invested in the DeWalt ecosystem. Overall, for my lawn, I think I need something with more juice, but this is common in the 36V range.

Your supposed to start at the highest setting and work your way down any mower will struggle starting at the lowest setting.
They do a self propelled model dewalt now so takes the weight off pushing it
I bought one of these and I love it. Feels like a petrol mower.
You saved me some money and time there. Almost bought it since I already have the batteries and the skin only version is cheaper but looking at this video I’d still go with the petrol mower. Is the new version available in Aus now? Is it really better than this one?
It really depends on the lawn types. Level 1 is still too high on my buffalo lawn in winter and pretty OK on Kikuyu lawn.
👍👍
I wonder why the older model is being sold there instead of the new one.
Petrol mowers struggle cutting low on grass like that also. Speaking of my old Briggs Stratton Classic 35 series mower as reference. It can stall the petrol mowers also. Just a torque thing.
Hows the mower going for you guys?
We ended up getting an Ego 56v mower instead, that one works really well. Thanks for the tip on gas mowers.
@@headsofestate Thanks for reply yes these DeWalt do seem bit weaker than the rest! I will look at the ego
It is a pity that you had no tried it with flexvolt batteries. Im wondering how the two "small" 5V batts can feed that bldc motor. This is kinda high load to the 5V ones I guess, so as your experience shows, it needs the flexvolt batts if I really want to cut the grass with this guy. 😊
Let me know how it goes if you try it
Hehe, good video
Level 1 ONLY when extremely dry
She's smart haha
If you want an electric one, go for a corded model and buy a 50mtr extention lead. Heaps more power, never slows down.
Also please please wear safety steel toe cap boots that’s a high gap when adjusted high so toes could go under huge gap be careful everyone

Wifey is a good presenter & easy on the eye. Hubby please stay behind the camera
That's the old model
Over here in Australia it's the only one available. Is the new model any good?
@@headsofestate I like it.
That is a garbage lawn mower. Buy a Honda. I own 2 of them and they will eat through that grass like straw.
what lawn mower?
Should have got the self-propelled model to make it easier on your girl
