Isle Of Jura Superstition - No Nonsense Whisky Reviews #18

- December is UK Supermarket Month!
All throughout December I will be taking a look at whisky that should be readily available in average supermarkets around the UK. I expect that these drams will also be available worldwide.
The Isle of Jura Superstition is a lightly peated whisky that breaks away from the traditional flavours of the distillery. More akin with fellow island Islay, the smokey flavours give an interesting profile to, in my opinion, an otherwise quite bland range of whisky. Usually around £25, this one is very easy to recommend.

I have a sample of this. I'll be doing a review in the new year. Good work Vin. The more peat you expose yourself to the better.
In Morrisons now for £10 for 20cl. Can’t go wrong even if you don’t like it. Smaller bottles great for trying. Me I enjoyed it, especially as it is NAS was nicely surprised.
Great review, as ever 🥃
Thank you 🙏
Superstition is pretty good... Have you tried the Prophecy or the Elixir 12? I hear the Elixir has been replaced in the range by a Duirach 16, or is it 14? I have tried them all except for the Duirach... Maybe next year...
It only goes to show that everyone is different....
I have found a bit of inconsistency with this. First bottle was not liked, then I was given one as a present and found it much better. Then the third bottle was again only OK
jura do add colouring... :-(
