I know Relapse is widely looked at as Eminem’s worst album but it’s one of my favorites and I think it’s under appreciated. A lot of the album is kind of silly or out there but I actually like that from Em and he still maintains catchy hooks and a great flow with those songs.
Aside from that, Deja Vu and Beautiful are both deeply meaningful songs that really show vulnerability and are easy for fans to connect to. Not to mention his top notch lyricism throughout. Stay Wide Awake was pure lyrical magic. That song had some of the most impressive rhyming and wordplay I’ve ever seen in an Em song, or a rap song period. The lyrics are kind of dark and wild, but the way he rhymes multiple syllables throughout the whole song is sick.
