You dont have to be a D12 fan to know it....Eminem's closest friend Proof and a major member of D12 passed away, Em went in depression and got addicted to pills and drugs till he relapsed, with two of the biggest members of the group down...they just couldn't make another album, by the time Em got back on his feet, times had changed and the D12 wave was done.
Simple as that, i am sure he has knowledge of this as well but he choses not to acknowledge it because he can.

Seems to me that most of the resentment Joe has against Em is because of how Slaughterhouse was handled. But like Rory said, Em was never a businessman, he's always been a rapper. He dropped out of highschool and has only ever known how to rhyme words, so how can you expect him to shoulder your career on his back? I would blame Paul, Jimmy and maybe even Dre, because those guys are the businessmen. It's the same reason Em regrets not being able to make D12 successful, he only knows what works for him, and you can't be mad at him for that.
This makes some sense, however... dude said EMINEM barely showed up to anything. There are certain things that you can't use BUSINESS TO HIDE. As a rapper, you share comradely vibe with other rappers. EMINEM loves ROYCE... CROOK loves EMINEM & ROYCE... won't speak for JOEL.
Then Eminem shouldn't have made his own label and stayed as a rapper. You can't say you're a label head, then fault a person for expecting you to act like a label head.

Joe Budden said Eminem is the best at rhyming words together in the world. If I was being perfectly honest, he is*. But the reason I wouldn't say Eminem isn't he best rapper is because of his content. Partly because he is white and Hip Hop's Black so much of his content doesn't relate due to his experience rather than his skin colour meaning he may not face and rap about the same issues ; partly because he often doesn't really go into anything substantive, and I prefer rappers to have a socially conscious side to them if they are to be the best.
As substantive as taste is though, Eminem is definitely in the top 10 of overall rappers still active (Jay, Nas, Em, J. Cole, Kendrick, 3000 to name a few, not in order).
Basically, Eminem has the best wordplay, but not the best content.
*I personally prefer Method Man's rhyming still the most. However, he has shown as much with it as Eminem has, mainly due to the over saturation of weed talk in his music)

Lately I been watching a shit ton of these old episodes cause I’m sorry this crew and their chemistry will NEVER be seen again in podcast history, and look at how in tune Rory and Mal were into joes music career, these brothas new what lyrics you said in your songs true supporters and fans and fam!!! Damn I miss the old JBP.
Joe shoulda known he had something special with them when he could do THIS topic. Without interruptions when he’s going at Eminem. Which normally everyone wants to act like they’re indifferent on or they defend Eminem
He was able to have this touchy subject(to Joe at the very least) and tell and he wants to tell without repercussions and rather gaining their trust and understanding of his situations
He was actually able to be fully open with them. Which is why people started to see another side to Joe in the first place. They started seeing outside of his music career, he’s a very cool and fun dude to chill with. Maybe not live with or be around for long periods of time but someone with a good bit of wisdom and advice. A little bit too instinctual on some matters and wild
