I wear Parfums since 20 years, I am 35 years now. I think i have a lot of experince with fragrance. My story to this fragrance: I was visiting my cousin in Romania, she had a lot of Tester. The most of them were there since 15 years. Than I saw this tester it was maybe 15 years there. I tried this, and i was fascinated after a half hour what a beautiful beautiful smell. I thought this is maybe the best mystery edt i ever smell. I came back to Germany, I searched on eBay and bought one. But it was not the same feeling. To be honest it was a very big difference. It was reformulated. There is a similarity to the original one, and that's why I still use this when I don't want to smell like everybody. This you can also imagine on somebody like " Ludwig the XIV" the sun king. It s Special i think it s a very interesting fragrance it has a very special note, after wearing this 1 or two hours it has reach the top, but it still changes till 5 or 6 hours after spraying. I think just for fragrance nerds it will be interesting. Watch the old commercial of this edt. It has a special vibe when you smoke and fume interacts with it😊, it's a Parfum for old hustler and who ever has the courage to wear something like that. I like it, but I want the old version, the ingredients were natural at that time now you have just an idea of what it was in the past, and still I love it. Special fragrance for special man.
I really enjoyed this video as well as all of your videos I have watched. Thank you for your thoughts and insights, Mr Amin. It is encouraging that we share an appreciation of fragrance half a world apart. It is great reminder of what brings all people together in an era in my country (USA) where so many evil voices are talking about how different we are. 🤝🤝
Blind bought a bottle of it for around $18. The packaging reminds me of the first cigarette pack that I ever bought which used to be called Davidoff Light. Simple but elegant, dark bottle. Very masculine scent. Definitely for mature audience, I can't see a teenager or someone in their early twenties pulling this one off. It stand out from my collection as barbershop/fougere scent. I get lavender, sage and some vanilla. Also a very strong green note that I thought was pine but it's not listed as a note. Good to switch it up from the fresh, citrusy, aromatic, blue etc fragrances. Plus it's under twenty bucks, are you kidding me.. projects and lasts over six hrs, I'm impressed. ps this is one of your best reviews
Great review Joy. I like that you have taken the time to describe the smell properly and from different angles. The actor and the film context also helps. I have ordered a bottle and look forward to trying it in what is now Autumn here in England. If people mistake me for Mr Depp then so much the better. Excellent channel!
This fragrance is timeless. Wore it in the eighties and still wearing it from time to time. Definitely unique. Original. I would say this would be perfect for the guy who don't wanna wear what everybody else is wearing and still smell divine. Outstanding smell in my opinion.
It's one of the best masculine scents ever created. Masterpiece that stays in the one row with Kouros, Heritage Guerlain, Azzaro Pour Homme, Anteus Chanel or Declaration Cartier. Personaly? My signature.
Love it too, but all those other ones you listed are levels worse than this one to me. Quorum, Encre Noire, Dunhill Edition, Bleue d'Issey, now THOSE are masterworks on the same level.
Thanks Joy, your review is very accurate, and thorough. It really has a mystical smell, but in a good sort of way. The dry down is a must, and my feeling on this is if I was in a barber shop, drinking strong coffee, and some small scent of candy was coming in my direction from outside.
I wore this fragrance in the mid 90s when I was in College and I used to get many compliments. The funny thing is I wasn't impressed by it that much until I started getting positive attention from it. I learned to appreciate it to say the least. Definitely a cooler weather scent.
Got this today. Am I the only one who loves the opening of this? It has a tart woodiness similar to that found in Bois de Portugal by Creed - I keep reapplying the juice and can't stop sniffing myself...
Joy bhai could you please suggest me a versatile fragrance versatile in terms of season somewhere in middle of the designer world in pricing I want to start collecting some quality fragrances thanks for reading
For me it's a similar vibe and style to old spice. Rich but soft. This and that work great for outdoor stroll on the town afternoon or evening in a khaki sports jacket or suit. This is sweeter though. I think of having a sexy lady on my arm. Great scent. Smells kinda like a cigar shop.
Hi Joy, great review thanks! Zino is one of my favs and it actually IS/was Johnny Depp's signature scent! But with this frag it is mandatory to seek for a vintage one, the actual frag smells like sh*t in comparison, somewhat like smoldering cable insulation in the opening. The vintage version is lovely all the way! Best regards, Dan.
I just received mine and right away I needed to see what Mr Amin thought. I love it too and I’m 61

Is this like Heritage Guerlain
It was launched when I was born. I'm curious what the original might smell like..
Actually to me Zino is much better than A Men and Black Orchid. One of the best drydowns in the game.
Just got my first bottle ever. It's incredible. I read "rosebush in medieval times" and I now can't get that image out of my head.

Never heard of Zino before surprisingly. I've ordered one as like Davidoff. Hoping it will have bang for buck like Bentley Intense👍

mystical can only be "in a good way". Not sure why you had to specify that. There is no better thing than smelling mystical
Thank you for your work, only fragrance reviewer that I have with the bell activated
bought this because of you and I'm endlessy in love ❤️ thanks my friend
I'am 33 years old woman. I am separated with 2 kids, I run my own perfume decant business and I'm gonna wear this as a statement fragrance.
I wore this in the late 90's. Smelt great in cold weather, but terrible in the heat.
Great review as always,i do have this frag in my collection just in case, timeless IMHO,old school!!Thx ,Have a great week bro, cheers and God bless
my wife love this scent on me.
i falled in love in Zino when i was 18yo :-D ...our love is very longlasting ..
What an accurate analysis
Zino is great
Is very unique good fragrance
Fragrantica says brazil rosewood, not guaiac wood ... but it was interesting you mentioned coffee/chocolate.
Zino Davidoff's dry down smells like everything expensive you ever encountered.
I just ordered this, I love how it smells had a bottle that I lost about 10 years ago just found it on Amazon I hope it still smells the same
Does it smell same??
It still smells the same

Got this ricently as a gift from my boss, even tho im 18, im enjoying in for my self, smells great, right up my alley
There are three oldschool fragrances, which has amazing drydown, but awful opening:
1. Zino Davidoff
2. Dior Eau Sauvage
3. Guerlain Vetiver
I just bought a bottle of Zino today. Looking forward to your review.
Did you like Zino?
@@Rezisorss yes
Just subscribed based on this great review
Very good
Good review as usual but the current version is really poor (Longevity)
made by almairac the same guy that made joop homme!
Vintage version of Zino is best perfum ever!!
Anyone watching in 2019? I get some similarity to TF Oud Wood in the far dry down? Anyone else get that?
I get some similarities with Mugler's Angel (1992), true patchouli)
Proper 80s powerhouse of a fragrance. Definitely not 1 for the kids. 35+ age range. Banging Bargain..
Well said!

I agree I love the opening more than the dry down
Totally blind-bought this for the catalogue. Under $20 for 100ml is impossible to pass by

are the vintage really worth buying?
I can't tell the difference between this and Burberry London. At least in the opening. Anyone else get that ?
Exactly there is life out there 😄 Try maximum moisturizer from mens Dial bodywash with it plz
I got it from Target. BUG SPRAY! Wife likes it but I would never use it.
There's no way Johnny Depp would wear a Davidoff Fragrance! LOL But then again Drake Loves wearing Drakkar Noir! 😝
lol its kinda same drake-drakkar ;)
He might. Zino Davidoff cigars cost $100s of $. Sometimes just for one or two.
I'm sure he doesn't give a **** about the price of it.
Too much rambling. Just get on with the review.
