2:00 Holy fuck, I'm rewatching my own video, and I'm just laughing my ass off at how I now own my dream car in that exact spec.
Corvette Racing Yellow Z06 with Stage 3 Aero. Damn, time flies, hasn't even been 2 years yet since this video was made.
And jokes on you...err past version of myself, my car Z06 is VERY fuel efficient, like 30MPG on the highway biatchhhhhhhhhh
So you're saying that you deliver pizza with a Corvette?
You still own Callie?
Not bad
I'm also rewatching this video as someone who now has a car and a job detailing cars and about a month away from being eligible to getting my license and trust me it is a pain in the ass to wax a white car because you need to rely on the light to see spots you missed either applying or removing the wax
I doubt that is your dream car
You forgot starting a lemonade stand and trading penny stocks.

My Mistake! Apparently some places like Discount Tire, *DO NOT REQUIRE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA!* That's exciting! That means you can make some pretty sweet bank as a 16 year old being a Tire Technician!
Bladed Angel my crush actually did that as her summer job, she was able to afford her F-250 easily lol
Bladed Angel my friend worked there for a bit pretty he made like 15 an hour
Bladed Angel im 16 in im studying in automotive collision repair field and when we graduate they help us find a job.
I do not recommend working at Discount Tire.
Oh awesome, I live right by one

NOTE: Delivery Driving will not instantly make you a Pro at driving or drifting. Unless it's Tofu delivery. In which case it will.
Alright... I'll just check the cheapest car that have DOHC engine and bring a paper cup filled with water. 5 years would be enough, especially if you driving at 4 A.M. on touge, right?
Winia Firmansyah no you need trueno.
What the he'll are you saying?
I need a downhill mountain to drift on and beat R32’s and FD’s
Don't forget the eurobeat
Dont forget to use the gutter
the best job for car enthusiasts is a test driver because you get to drive cool cars and get paid for it
Edit: see my reply below for details
Really depends you might be driving the cheapest cars all your life, driving the same cookie cutter cars all based around fuel efficiency and not driver comfort the slow acceleration and sub par handling the monotony would drive you insane
Where the fuck do you go to become a test driver though?
Daniel Buccio lmao no u dont
Optikson do u test drive too?
Optikson unless its a prius
I worked as a valet attendant in college and a year after college, heck I even got married during that time. I ended up making close to $75,000 a year, pretty insane how awesome valet can be. Granted, it was in Orange County, CA. This also meant most of the cars I drove were pretty high end, definitely expected 30-40 exotics/supercars each week.
Joshua McLenachen where at bro
Ay bruh where at👀
To those of you who want to start with being a tire tech, I started work at discount tire my junior year. Great job and info, but you don't even need a high school diploma in many cases. Just thought I'd put that out there
I was wondering why some of their employees legit look like teenagers 0.o
You dont it was my first job i even did car inspections at 16
Ditto. Former Discount Tire service coordinator here. 😎Great place for work experience and a great company to work for! Sell more, service more, and satisfy more!
@@3511manlyman wow
Where they flexible with school hours? And if you dont mind me asking how many days did you work?
When I was 16, I got a job doing engine and transmission swaps for my friend's dad. I knew nothing at the time, but after a couple months, I knew everything about engines. I only worked there for a year, but it has saved me thousands upon thousands over the years because I can diagnose and repair my own vehicle.
Lmao the claim that you knew EVERYTHING about engines after few months is such a funny claim.

But... bladed senpai... #6... why would you want us to have to tell somebody their tuned project that they can't drive it cause it doesn't pass emissions? ;-:
U don’t and that’s how u get PHAT TIPS
Justin Noker the guy probably has a Volkswagen
I think you would know if your project car is gonna pass emissions test or not. People don’t expect to get away with straight pipes.
Justin Noker Be subtle and take $300 tips to pass tuned cars.
In some states like Massachusetts you need to be licensed to be a Inspector
I'm 16 years old im 6'6, and I hate basketball, never liked it, but I've always been into cars, me and my friends talk about cars all the time. And we love hondas and stuff, and every time I tell the coaches I don't like sports, I always tell them I want to work on cars and trucks. When I go to the 12th grade I'm going to a all auto mechanic school. It's probably going to be weird being a tall mechanic lol.
Holy crap 16 and 6'6, I'm 17 and 5'8, anyways I think it would be cool to work as a race car livery designer, that would be awesome, it combines my two favorite things graphic design, and cars.

I was lucky to get a fun car job. I'm the runner for a dealership and when people bring in cars for oil change or a wash I drive it where it needs to go which is almost a quarter mile down the lot. I've gotten to drive a lot of cool cars this way. I also get to drive a lot of brand new cars to the wash too.
CarGuyV8 do you get paid good
SciolismHD unfortunately just $9 an hour. I do get a couple hours overtime a week though.
I’m 19 and a service lot attendant at a local BMW dealership... I’ve driven the i8, all the M cars you could think of, and even a Nissan GTR... Not the best paying job in the world but what other normal teenagers get to do that every day? I’m so happy! 😁
Official LXRY what do you do?
cesar when cars come in for service I park them, get them washed, and sometimes get to test drive them! Ive also got to network alot and meet alot of cool people! :)
Official LXRY same, haven’t driven an i8 tho
@@GrayHuska damn bro .i wish i could live your life ... Your Lucky dude !!
Official LXRY I'm 17 and trying to get a job at a local dealership. Do you think they would hire me even with zero experience?

That Other Guy same.... not same car tho lol
Construction you make a decent wage and you learn a life skill
I made you a moderator btw, since you're always reading my comments. It's nothing to special and don't worry, it doesn't come with any obligations. I just figured that you're always in the comments anyways, so if you ever do see an adbot or etc. you could delete it.
Thanks man i really do appreciate that
Hey is the girl in your Profile Pic Holo, by any chance? I used to have her as my PFP (except it had her wearing a hat saying her name) as well, but I saw you were always in the comments and I figured that would get confusing very quick for Bladed.
That's true I only have around 4 months of experience but learned a lot
In Wisconsin you make a great pay
I work at discount tire and I can offer some insight. I get paid $11 an hour and that’s starting pay. We bet two bonus checks a year that are about 300-500 dollars. It can be insanely difficult on busy days as you get no breaks in open weather with constant labor. You do learn a lot about tires and get to work on lots of cars. I’ve worked on some super cars, sports cars and plenty of commuters and trucks. It’s not a bad job to have if you have the time or energy to maintain your life/body. If you want a work out, work on cars and get paid to do those things, then you can apply at a 6-10 hour garage gym membership at your local tire store.
PLEASE READ!!! I'm surprised that lot tech is not on this list. I am a lot tech for a luxury car brand dealership. I earn $12 an hour and $18 overtime which is any hours over 40. My job is to manage the lots and showroom (pulling cars in and out), managing the lots new and used(keeping them orderly and straight and grouped together by car company or model. I also do chase cars for dropping a car off for a client, deliveries, drive cars to and from reconditioning centers, drive really expensive cars to events and in to stadiums etc.. I think it is the best job for a car enthusiast because of the number of different cars I drive all the time. I literally get paid to drive cars, and there's also little paperwork and keeping up with keys. Best job I've had yet and happy to have it but can also be a little stressful
The Adventurer Is this a job you have at like a new car lot?
What career will u pursue when you get older
its called a porter where I reside. Your job description is like mine but they let me have some leeway driving cars on the street. ill go get lunch for a saleman and I choose between a 16 charger rt or a 15 taurus sho as my McDonalds car lol

@@westep4273 entry level
Tire/oil technician here! (Not that hard, gets pretty repetitive but it pays ok ~$12 an hour). Ive been unofficially coached by some of the real mechanics at the shop as well and they taught me a few easy tips on how to do some complicated repairs more easily, dont be afraid to ask questions if you want to know more (of course dont annoy them either!) I learned how to install radiators water pumps and belts that from other techs.
I work at a sushi restaurant making shit wages but it’s beyond easy and I usually end up playing on my phone for 3/5 hours I’m there. I’m in the process of selling my 05 Ford Explorer and buying an 02 WRX and a Miata. Both manuals, and both before my 18th birthday. I’m checking out the WRX on Saturday and cannot wait.
Bryan LaMarine i am excited for you bro
Bryan LaMarine how lucky you are...
Bryan LaMarine I wish cars in Poland were at least a bit cheaper. Here, to get the 02' WRX Subbie you'd have to work like 17 fucking months on a car wash WITHOUT spending a cent. It's also difficult to find a well-paid job here, the insurance costs are incredibly high for young drivers and the price of petrol/diesel is just really high. That's pretty sad, isn't it?
@@arturotorturo134 the European union doesn't want us normal ppl to get our dream cars as long as it isnt a elektro golf or something like that. Also petrol/diesel will be more expensive in the next year they said
OH DAMN , NOW I CAN BE A TOFU DELIVERY GUY *Turns eurobeat on*
What about working at a car parts store? I don't know if anybody know about it, but is it viable?
Well youll be just be at a register sell air filters to civic owners or restocking shelves just an average boring retail job
G.T. You forgot about selling fart cans to 16year old civic owners 😂😂😂

Me:"parts for ur civic at the vending machine"
I did that, DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!
Only upside was after 2 years I was able to get ASE certification, P2 Parts Counterperson.
pmk 2034 I work in parts at a dealership in my state. And promise the pay isn't that good for the work you have to do. But you get to see the parts and how much they cost so you have a rough estimate of how much a door should cost from another dealership
If I might add another, I would say quick lube technician
ya i work at valvoline u just need to be 17 no ged or diploma and they teach you everything ive learned so much in my time there
Also, maybe do a video talking about difference between cheap parts Vs. well made affordable parts. Because I feel there are a lot of people in the car world that misuse the word cheap when it comes to less expensive parts. like Kw vs BC racing. some say bc 's are cheap compared to Kw's. But less expensive doesn't mean cheap. Cheap usually refers to quality of a product.
Hmmm interesting. I know what you mean. I'm guilty of it myself sometimes because I refer to Flowmaster as, "cheap" because something like Borla or Corsa is considered standard/quality. Although an actual, "cheap" part would be one of those shitty third party Chinese knockoff parts from eBay.
Bladed Angel that's exactly what I'm talking about . LOL And don't feel bad, we're all guilty of it at some point.
Yeah I would definitely love to see that video!
The ae86 though

Senpai is fine. Kun or chan sound weird to me 0.o
Lube technician is how i started. I got hired straight on my 18th birthday. Learned how to change oils on many different cars. Entry level job that paid around 1500 every 2 weeks. Gave me a start and many of my coworkers go straight to auto shops and dealerships from this job. Get pretty good at it since its pretty fast paced.
Can you make more of these please, but more focused on higher paying jobs, like to have a career in
No car salesman? You can make car recommendation to normies
ThundeRed T they make commission. You make money when you make a sale. They don’t have hourly wages
ThundeRed T I don't know how it works in us for that job but in my case I went to a private school to get the training for the job to end up not doing it since they want saleman with experience
Hey bladed angel I’m considering either buying a Prius or a Lamborghini what should I get

What about a car journalist? I want to be one of them
Jeremy Clarkson eh, if you're young? I don't know. You need to be a good writer, and, well how would you start it? Not trying to demotivate you.
Applying for journalists can be competitive yet you will be busy on working on issues or even episodes.
+That One Car Guy Automotive journalist could not make it in this list because it requires a University diploma in the United States. Even still, it is such a niche career that employers have varied criteriums.
For one, I am a resident of the province of Quebec and I know for a fact employers will prefer workers that experienced the many spheres of the automotive industry. It is hard to be a good automotive journalist and to stand a chance at being hired without knowing how things work around the car world, under a business point of view. No, it really isn't a young car enthusiast job…
I work in a car wash and you will see lots of muscle cars like Mustangs Camaro’s Challengers ect. Sometimes you may also see something nice like a Rolls Royce,AMG,or maybe a 911. Also it pays about 14.5 to 17 bucks per hour depending on tips. Overall I would recommend the job to someone more into sports cars than supers but it is still a fun job where you see everything about a car!
I'd love to see some muscle cars too. Man, I'm jealous!
So awesome, I did all these😂

Can totally relate to number 1. First and current job is being a car wash attendant. Starting was 9 an hour but is simple work and yes it can get hot and busy but also beats standing behind a register or grill for 7.25. I was / am happy doing it and also there are opportunities to move up almost just like in any business.
how about me I live in a third world country and the minimum wage is so low that an average salary of an engineer will is low as 45,000 pesos or $877.64 minus the tax,SSS and some monthly payment stuff which leaves my family into a class thats a little better than poor. So working on that kind of stuff like Car washer or Delivery guy will give you money only enough to feed you and your basic neccesities and nothing else. Nothing for leisure and other stuff which makes this country a hard place for a Car Enthusiast

As much as I love working on my own project cars, personally taking your hobby (automotive) and turning into a job was not as fun as I originally thought. I didn’t get the satisfaction as I got with my own car, so I didn’t enjoy the job very well. The auto shop and the people you work with will change the outcome of enjoyment of the job though. And if you get a bad vibe from a shop (people working there act..) trust your gut and walk away, I made that mistake and it was a long 3 weeks waiting for the clock to hit 5pm. But if you do find a good shop with hood people you will enjoy working more in the shop environment.

What about mechanical engineering, im doing that for apprenticeship.
Mechanical engineering does involve with automotive and other technology except its more of designing new systems. You would need to have attend a 4 year bachelor's degree study plan in a university, be VERY good with advanced mathematics, speech, and physics, and then more scientific courses like statistics. You will then work on projects by companies in a group of certified technicians.
MikuMikuGaming01 im in the UK, do u hav apprenticeships in THE US?
That's what I did, should have gotten an electrical engineering degree, cars are turning into cellphones.
Young Shakes not sure. I never heard of that despite Im currently college student
Young Shakes In the US it’s more like college->internship->job for ME majors. Many internships are done over the summer while still attending school and pay anywhere between $12-$20 an hour.
You forgot to mention oil changers on this list lol, it's like the easiest job since most car enthusiast already know how to change their own oil!
The only bad thing is modern cars. They all have the oil filter in a really inconvenient place in my experience, and while the plug isn't impossible to get to, it's a hassle where a LOT of cars in my family are 4WD and thus have a skid plate. My car is simple, everything mounted in an easy to get to place. Hell, even the fuel pump is a couple of bolts, 'rearrangement' of some superficial parts, and pull it straight off the side of the timing case. No dropping the gas tank or any of that shit. Oil filter is even easier. Drain oil, unscrew filter, coat new filter gasket, screw new filter in, fill engine with oil, run for a few seconds to cycle the oil, shut off, top it off to the full mark on the stick. Usually 5 quarts of oil (1.5 US Gallons), so nothing that special.
I’m 15 and run a detailing business. I get payed about $30 an hour since I am self employed. It’s a good job for my age!
I actuallt do work at a carwash, i get paid $8 an hour which isn't too bad

You barely said anything about being a valet and that sucks. I’ve been a valet for 3 years and there’s a ton a early 20s car enthusiast would find awesome. You get to drive tons of different cars, from exotics to 80s classics to old daily drivers to 50billion BMWs and Mercedes. Plus it’s a great job for making connection with people that can get you job interviews and perks
This video gets uploaded the day before I'm due for an interview at an autobody shop.
FFS, Bladed-senpai.
Well best of luck for that job at the autobody shop, when your done tell me if you got it
StealthStar17 did u get the job ??
Another good job is working at valvoline. They start at $13.75 and within 4 months you could easily be making $16 there is zero experience needed, it’s all on the job training. After working there you will get to see many cars, learn how to do almost all preventative maintenance on vehicles, learn how to change your oil, about all the fluids that go into vehicles, about air filters and oil filters, how to check the level of all the fluids, how the ac system works, how the coolant system works, how fuel system works, how a transmission works, you will learn about tires, differentials, transfer cases, how to do tire rotations, coolant flush’s, transmission flushes, differential fluid changes, transfer case fluid change, oil changes, fuel system cleaners (not just the tank but the valves and the injectors). Also it is a nice place to work as people are pretty respectful they don’t treat you like a McDonald’s worker but rather a professional.
I'm probably just gonna own an auto repair shop you'll make way more
better learn transmissions and exotics, and monopolize all that. Charge reasonable amounts of money to keep people from leaving town and taking their big bucks elsewhere, and you'll make HELLA BANK.
Bro what about everything going electric. That scares me
Or work on cars in garages
First everything
#8 be a mechinic in the army. this is more for the Truck guys, but you'll see lots of cool trucks and such pass by. You also make a pretty decent wage. I am one in belgium, and i make the average wage of my country at 19, we get a year of training and then we start working at a base.
Dude, this video makes me want to rewatch Initial D. I love that anime.
Wesley Smith SAME o.o
Everyone hates car inspectors tho cause those are the guys who report all your “illegal” mods on your car even if the car is 1 inch too wide with your kit or your suspension is 2 inches too high on your truck like I don’t want to be that guy who has to tell some dude with his wrx that he has to get rid of the kit cause it’s too wide even thought it dosnt bug anyone on the road it’s just one of those things I myself cannot do as I’d feel bad for other car people
I thought many delivery drivers can write off their cost for gas
Ray Wei they can take the gas prices off on taxes from what I understand.
What about a car salesman, they take not much education and if they work at 'exotic car dealerships' they can bring home massive bucks.

Wrong, if you want to work for an auto body shop you would need an i-car certification. If you want to work on a car mechanically like an automotive technician than you would need ASE certifications
I know you said the non higher education thing, but if you're seriously interested and want to to go to college you can get a Mechanical Engineering degree and work with a major car company to make close to 6 figures for certain positions... A lot of my friends are doing ME for that reason, I almost did as well but I changed my mind and went for science instead
You can also take aerospace like I did, then you would earn a little bit more than 6 figures, and work designing supercars and race cars, but it's a very difficult degree and ending in the car world is difficult
Yeah, all my aero friends are trying to work in plane and rocket design
I’m working at America’s tire making $11.50 an hour but I’m changing jobs soon

Another great job for those fresh out of high school, (you have to be 18 at most places) is being a driver at an auto auction. I spent my past summer at one and made 9/hr, but got to drive a ton of new Mustangs, Camaros, and some higher end cars like Cadillacs and even an Audi R8. I highly recommend it.
