    Thanks for helping me not only understand the 10th ed movement but also that I now harbour some sort of bizarre 40k male fantasy Naomi.
    You're truly the gift that keeps on giving!

    I literaly blew the dust of my old models I bought during 3rd-5th edition to play against a friend. Just a casual game on my kitchen table.
    We read the new rules and built 1.000 pts each (Sister vs Space wolves).
    Terrain was... interesting.
    A piece of paper with "forest" written on it.
    A fram block my wife uses for some physical excersises. Amd some blocks/walls from my kids boardgames.
    As markers for the points we were supposed to hold we just used hairbands.
    Looked terrible. But it worked!
    And it felt great to have pewter models from 2nd edition 40K that still worked.
    Anyways. My point is. Dont be afraid/ashamed to use whatever youve got as terrain. Atleast early on.
    I would 100% focus on the army at first

    I'm still running 7th edition (or maybe even 6th, can't keep count anymore). I have almost all of the different armies, and therefore codexes, and so therefore every new edition that comes out the ask around upgrading and replacing all the various books is just too much to bother with. Add to that the slowly changing scale of miniatures and there's just another whole host of reasons to avoid upgrading. Is there anything in 10th edition that anyone is aware of that could change any of this? Or should I just stick with my old edition? Weird thing is I am pretty sure I finished my last round of collecting only about 10 years ago. Are we really 3 or 4 editions ahead now? Crazy.

    Great video! The grammar purist in me cannot resist correcting the pronunciation of the word "melee." The correct phonetic pronunciation of that word is "MAY-LAY," not "MEE-LAY" or "MEELEE" as it is often mispronounced.

    • @swordnsteele712
      @swordnsteele712  Год назад +1

      I am aware of the alternate pronunciation, but my local dialect insists on melee as I pronounced it and I stumble awkwardly on anything else 🤷‍♀️ You'll have to forgive me that as you'll hear it again in the future 😂
