In 2021, NYC police arrested over 4,000 people with illegal handguns - and only 11 went to trial due to plea bargains, no-bail requirements, and other stupidity on the part of the politicians. This included convicted felons!
As far as politicians who don't do their jobs (LOL!!), that would go a long way to easing the employment shortage in the private sector!
BTW, I was referring to BOTH Cuomos running as team; a matched set!

Exactly and its not just NY. I get paid yearly with 2 part time jobs half what my father has to pay in northern New Jerseys property taxes alone. The interstate polls which are like the only way into his neighborhood coming from down south have gone up from $11 when I was younger to $22 per toll entrey. Two meals at a burger king in NJ costs over $30. He is considering moving soon if things dont change in the next year or two. They push spending bills to help low class and the lower middle class people get more benefits and pay but the way they are doing it also raise taxes and costs of everyday goods. If you get paid more it doesnt matter if everything costs more or the difference gets taken out of your taxes regardless. They are only creating the illusion of a better spending plan to get your support. I miss certain aspects of living up north but there is no way I could afford it. Taylor Ham in New Jersey I think I prefered over bacon at times. It isnt a matter of whether or not your rich that you move. It is a matter or not if you understand costs are skyrocketing and the average cost of living are going through the roof. Im sure there are plenty of rich people who would rather not spend as much so they can stay rich longer. Not to mention something never talked about is how wealthier middle class families pay for more generally in taxes due to the size of their property or their income tax is larger or other factors. Those summer homes still have to be paid for on top of your normal residence all year long. That includes heating, plumbing and all the rest of the expenses. The vast difference people make is still limited by the increase in taxes they pay. Thats why I say if middle class families didnt have to pay extra costs like taxes, insurance, food, heating, ...etc and kept all the money they recieved from working all their life, they would be millionairs by the time they are like 50. The absolute millionairs/billionairs that have thousands to waste here and there are not affected the same way. They can pay almost any cost so it doesnt matter to them as much what the taxes are. So when you raise the costs so middle class families cannot hardly afford it anymore it is a major issue. Things cost wayyy to much. Then there is the single parenthood issue making your families net gain smaller than others paid the same amount but with two parents they are recieving it twice as much. Thats gotta make it harder to live too. Thats how I see it.

I was born and raised in Western New York. 17 years ago I finally decided to leave for good and moved to Texas. After living in a normal state for the last 17 years New York State seems like one big insane asylum.
However, please leave the NY politics in NY! Don't mess with Texas!

Dem Politicians are "put" into place & Rep politicians are basically kicked out.
One of my friends is George Maziarz's daughter, Stacy. Lefties created fake "charges" against him, in 2014, to get rid of him. He's considered "too" Conservative.
I'm from NY & one of my degrees is in Poli Sci. I've kept up on politics & sociopolitical issues since I was like 8 yrs old.
I've watched these Lefties steal elections my entire life & it happened many yrs before I was born.
For example; no one voted for Andrew Nipple Pinchy Cuomo, no one. He's had a horrendous reputation his whole life. Almost everyone dislikes & even hates him.
That's why Lefties stole the Executive Branch in 2020. They've been stealing Congressional Branch positions, in certain states, for forever now. They just did it in 2020 the same way they've always done it.
You should know most of this already.

It’s not just high taxes in New York - its also the cost of living there! I hear of people that have one-hundred square foot “studio” apartments that cost $2,000.00 or more a month!
$16.00 for a car to cross the George Washington Bridge, $90-$95 for a semi-truck to cross it!
In Florida - especially the north western part of Florida for $2000 a month you can get a four bedroom two bath home with vaulted ceilings a great room and a half acre of land!

I left NY a long time ago because of the cost of living. Why should I live in a cockroach-infested studio apartment with three roommates when I can own a house by myself where I am now?
As a NYS resident I know I speak for many thousands when I say we wish NYC was separated from the rest of the state and we would be left alone to fend for ourselves
