For those visiting Kumasi, Ruutz cuisine is a very good vegan spot. It's a family owned shop. There's also a vegan spot in Adum near the post office. They make traditional Ghanaian dishes without meat.
Thank you for sharing these restaurants. I struggle to find a variety of vegetarian restaurants, whenever I visit ghana. Your video has been informative & pleasing to watch. Such a natural presenter.
It is not that difficult at all to be vegan out here, it is just that there is less variety in terms of vegetables generally. Also, not many vegetarian restaurants, but they are cropping up now.
Thank you for all of your wonderful videos. I will be going to Accra fro three months this fall for an internship (pandemic permitting) and I'm beyond excited. And scared... but your videos are a tremendous help. Thank you!
All the restaurants featured in the video are in Accra. Outside of the Greater Accra region, I've found it much harder to find vegetraian restaurants -particularly if you prefer local chop bars rather than more upmarket places.
Wow Sooo useful !! I’m going to Ghana in November with a friend and he’s vegetarian and he’s concerned about what he’s gona eat lol I’m literally sending this video to him RIGHT NOW ! Thanks again ☺️

Thank for this. I wanted vegan/ vegetarian restaurants to visit when I come to Ghana because my immune system doesn't agree with all the meats and sauces. Awesome video.
My dear do you know what I like most about your vlog u sell 🇬🇭 music as well keep it up. I keep saying this I n you can make 🇬🇭 a better place by promoting n supporting our own .
I am very fascinated you or no one in the comments did mention about the waiter who was leaning on your chair behind you, and you have to literally turn your head to be able to communicate with him, I love my Ghana people, Amazing customer service..LMAO...CLASSIC..!!!
That was so informative, thank you so much! I am veggie/vegan for several years now so at least I can enjoy food when I move to Ghana while I learn to cook some of dishes! So excited and that food looks so good! Craving for Jollof rice, plantain, veggie stew and fufu.
I know you had a time constraint, but I wish you had spent more time talking about Cafe Kwae, that's one of my favorite spots in Accra whenever I'm visiting Ghana.
Thanks for this awesovideo! I'm actually in Accra and have been visiting every one of these locations you've recommended with absolutely no regrets at all. Thank you so much😃😀
This food looks good... sadly, I didn't find any of these when I was in Accra. Thank you for the great music and for going the extra mile to show us the conversion from cedis to pounds and dollars!!
Thanks so much Vanessa! I'm an Australian vegan who's coming to Accra to study next year. I'm so excited but have been concerned about the food options. It looks like I'll be able to make something work. :) Thanks again.
Thank you for this! Im vegetarian as well, and planning a trip to Ghana in the next year or so. Ive been there twice but was not veggie then. Im even more excited about the trip now!
Thanks for uploading this. This is great. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, but I'd like to have healthier options than the usual fully loaded cusines. Will definitely try some of these places on my next visit.
I love the video, particularly as I always find it really hard to find vegetarian restaurants in Ghana. Indeed, the concept of being vegetarian can sometimes be hard to explain and you have to look at menus closely - on one menu I saw, the ingredients of the vegetarian pizza were tomato, cheese and ham!
Thank you for this one. Im Vegan for about 30 years now. Im coming! Side note: We handle pro audio (music and film). No more up and down spikes in your video's sound; we can balance all your audio, remove background noise, and improve clarity. Hit us up for a free sample. LOVE
I'm from the north of the UK not as far north as Scotland I have eaten at Pat's I didn't know it was called that I simply turned up. Gorged myself after visiting Osu to buy health foods from a shop in Osu I can't name the food is lovely at Pat's the pineapple and ginger. Does have a rocket fuel kick to it my favourite is the Jollof rice with those fake meat things, can't get enough of them when I'm in the area. Good Vlog keep them coming, Pat's also has great pastries since I'm a bit of a cake man they sell pumpkins seeds good for us more mature blokes.

Hey Vanessa can you do some videos peanut free restaurants in Ghana. My daughter is allergic to peanuts so I want to make sure we can get out there and go to different places to eat without worrying too much.
@@VanessaKanbi It's really hidden and it looks suspect, no sign or anything! As soon as you turn off the side street into the parking lot, it's on your right, in the corner of the parking lot.
Love this!!!! My son is gluten intolerant (which we didn't know when were in Ghana a couple of years back)!!! What are the options for such a diet? Are there places in Accra where gluten free food can be sourced?
So, I was wondering when you were gonna share some of that good looking food with me.... Then I realized, I wasn't actually there.😞😢 Thanks for the visual tease. Lol Great video.
I visited and stayed at Legassi Gardens. Beautiful setting, polite service. Really tasty traditional vegan food. Highly recommended.
I'm looking to visit in April. Any suggestions? Still looking for a hotel but I'll look up Legassi Gardens.

I’m so thankful for this video. Wasn’t sure how I was going to get along in Accra as a vegan. This is very helpful. I love your accent! :)

He thinks she is hot. See how he looked at her for a second at 3:07?? 😁
but he seems to be insecure. look 3:26 and his low Voice 😏
