used to be a The View watcher. And I really appreciated how frequently they reported on what was happening in Ukrain recently. But the one-sided and islamophobic approach to the current situation in Gaza is so clearly evident that it utterly shocks me. They cherry pick what they report on and never ever give the true context and picture of the suffering of the Palestinian people which has been going on for years. No human should suffer as they are right now and no one support Hamas action, but the way the view has been reporting on these events is so hypocritical and one-sided. I think the way they are reporting on this particular topic is the one thing they are doing right. Nobody wants innocent Palestinians harmed, but Hamas is the worst of the worst and Israel must defend itself.
On a side note, I’m completely for Trump but still watch the View for another perspective. Just because you don’t agree with everything, it’s okay to hear what they have to say. It helps to have a well-rounded knowledge of what’s going on. Hence why I took the time to read your comment.

Jayapol very clearly and repeatedly said she condemned Hamas’ attack on Israeli civilians on Oct 7 and agreed rape happened and should be condemned. She agreed it is a war crime. Stop pretending she didn’t! She is simply saying we need to condemn the war crimes committed against the Gazans, including pre-mature babies dying unnecessarily. There are many quotes from senior Israeli ministers that they want to level Gaza & drive out the residents. All Jayapol is asking for is to treat the lives of Gazans equally to the lives of Israelis. what you are saying about the speakers is simply untrue. What occurred on 10/07 is not comparable at all to Israel defending itself. 10/07 was an act a war; what Israel is doing is a response to the act. Equating them is not only unethical but completely untrue hence why she should be denounced for making such statements. One group broke international law; the other and intentionally trying to help the inhabitants in which the people they're at war with. Literally has never been done in history. Israel should be commended for helping Palestinians after what happened.

100% agreed with everything said about Israel's efforts in this war. I think this comment thread is not representative of most Americans. It is truly sad how people are unaware of the differences between peoples in this war and are clouded by overgeneralizations. Sunny asked a good Q regarding USA efforts in protecting Palestinians but the people in the comments claiming she believes in a genocide is ridiculous. She has not once said such and has actually stated multiple times she supports innocent lives on both sides which I think most of us do. The reason people side with Israel is due to the governing body standing for western values AND because the governing body over Palestinians is Hamas and any decent human would never agree or support them. I think this war is a war against 3 people - Hamas, Palestinians, & Israel. Israel is helping Palestinians which no government has ever done to this level historically. Israel should be commended for helping innocent civilians that are not their citizens.

Also take a look at the history of the USS Liberty - the stories that came out in the last 10 years, not the cover up the US government put out in the 60's and 70's. Al Jazeera did a great piece where they interviewed widows and servicemen that served on the ship, I highly recommend looking it up.
