@@boratbagatov9728Language and dialrect are different. Dialect is a variation of a particular language. Ang Tagalog ng Manila/Bulacan/Batangas/etc are Tagalog DIALECTS kasi kahit meron variation
sa intonations at meron variations in some words ay nagkakaintindihan pa rin ang mgaTagalog speaking regions. Likewise ang Ilocano ng Ilocos/Cagayan/Pangasinan/La Union/Abra/Nueva Viscaya/Isabela are Ilocano DIALECT kasi nga kahit meron certain variations ay nagkakaintidihan pa rin sila pero ang Ilocano/Cebuano/Ibanag/ibaloi/Pangasinan/Hiligaynon are LANGUAGES kasi nga hindi sila magkakaintindihan.

WTF....this is so cool....two "whities"(forgive the expression🙏🙏🙏) conversing like true-blue Filipinos, its just so heartwarming. The world is a better place with people like the both of you. And for the lady....you were never "excluded", the other kids were just in awe of you and didnt know how to relate with you... they simply kept their distance. And to the Canadian...for not having even visited the Philippines and speaking Tagalog the way you do is impressive. God bless you both. I am a new subscriber.

I love that you have merch... However, I'm not personally feeling the design. I get your use of "kabayan" but with the word taking out 2 of the 8 provinces that helped in the revolution, especially as a non-pinoy; not for me. However, if you have "pusong pinoy" or "peking pilipino" in the future, I'm DEFINITELY down.

It must be so interesting to grow up in another country then come back to USA. You already have such a unique and difference experienced the most American's who only speak english and only familiar with their own culture. I lived in a rural area of USA where people in their 60's+ never even left the county of their state yet other states or other countries and I feel like this ends up with very closed minded people who often hate foreigners or people that are different then they are used to. If only more people got to experience travel and other cultures at a young age, i think we would have so much less hate in this world then we do now. People would realize all people on this planet are all humans all trying to live their lives as best then can and there is no reason to go at war killing people... which sadly there is still a lot of wars going on even today and even potential civil war lingering in USA. so much closed minded hateful people who don't like other people who don't share in the same beliefs.

I agree with you US seems growing downward because of hatred with others. But they have forgotten they've in one place

Traveling won't mean you will end up speaking more than English. I am second generation military. I was born in England, my son was born in Germany. I lived in the Philippines when I was a kid. After retiring from the Army, I started working overseas, and have lived and/or worked in 4 different countries in the last 16 years. In 3 of those 4 countries, I only know the important essential phrases (hello, thank you, you're welcome, I have no money, etc.). If you are an adult, who only work and/or live with other Americans and/or people who speak English, it is less likely that you will learn the local language, simply because it is not necessary. More likely to learn if you are a kid, who are around a lot of locals who don't speak English fluently. (Kids pick up languages quicker and easier)
I now have a permanent residence in the Philippines, and have actually attempted to learn Tagalog. I took a 40-hour course, over a 10-week period. I gave up after the first course, and didn't even bother with the 2nd and 3rd forty hour blocks. It is NOT an easy language. I think I picked up more Spanish when living in a border city, than I did Tagalog while living in the Philippines. I will probably give it a try one day, but it isn't a pressing concern.

Sayang hindi mo naturuan ng Tagalog ang mga anak mo. Puede mo pang turuan sila. Talk to them in Tagalog and tell them to repeat it. Give them Tagalog-English dictionary and phrase book. Don't forget the Fil dialects girl. Don't forget them. Always speak it. Galing mo din girl! ❤
