I use the evo motion 2000 off road scooters and have it over a year it’s fantastic very fast and will get you where you need to go also very comfortable ride the stand up scooters can be a pain in the arse for long distance
Ben Fox - Great review on the range test and the scooter itself - What is the waterproof rating in comparison to the Pure Air Pro - its between those 2 for me when Pure Electric decide to bring the app out!
Overheating shutdown? With a light rider, nice level terrain and a cold day? Not good... What is it going to do with a big fat rider blasting up hill on a hot day? Thanks for doing the test Ben! Your suffering is appreciated. 😁🤘👍👍
I absolutely love your reviews man! What a lovely sense of humour! It doesn't matter what you are reviewing, I'd be watching you if you did a review on a red 1987 vacuum cleaner..
no cruise control, slows down as battery drops, overheats....no thanks. Maybe your review is what the company needed to fix those issues and send you another scooter.
Thanks for your sacrifice Ben! I wouldn't bother with range tests anymore. You just cut whatever the manufacturer claims in half and that almost always works out. I was guessing 30 miles before watching the range portion. 50% of manufacturer claims almost always matches what I get when I am running at full speed. My Dualtron Compact covers about 25 miles and it is between 35-45% battery remaining. Those 25 miles are pretty high speeds with very steep San Francisco hills. At 35% battery the Compact is much slower at 30MPH but it is not bad given where the voltage is at that point.
@@BenFox01 You can just mention that 50% rule and let people gauge from that. There are just too many variables to consider (weight, temp, steepness, terrain, headwind, tailwind, battery manufacturer, solid tires, pneumatic tires, regen braking, motor kv, etc.) to give a definitive answer.
Robert Fontanosa: have to agree with you Robert. If you weigh three and three quarter stone and have a pancake shape body ( stream lined) you might get near the advertised speed. But if you a normal bod, then the 50% of claimed range is about right. Cheers.👍
@@RCDevotee So your claiming that manufacturer claims should be cut in half to get a real world range but somehow that doesnt apply to your magical purchase of a Dualtron Compact that does 25miles and you still have 35%-45% battery remaining...Despite the claim of 50miles from the manufacturer but its obvious that you got the magic e-scooter...What a massive hypocrite idiot!!
@@futmut1000 Not sure where all the animosity is coming from but I get those numbers by playing with my mode settings and adjusting my speed quite a bit. I also get quite a bit of regeneration coming down the hills. We also stop for charging sometimes so I can get a little more back. There are a lot of variables which makes range tests less valuable than I think they should be. The 50% rule I use usually applies when you are going all out at maximum speed for your entire ride. If you don't agree with me there is no need to call me an idiot.
Another great test Ben and I did look into that InMotion L9 because of it's range which for me is good for getting to my metal detecting fields. Keep up the great work
Love the content Ben and I appreciate the truth with range, I test the hell out the scooter's I review and those long range tests are brutal! I don't understand why manufacturer's exaggerate like that because I rarely want to ride over 10 miles at a time anyway. Keep on bringing it!
Another stone solid review, Ben! Can't wait to see what Inmotion does with this. And like always you are hilarious and I love watching your videos now. The cadence and tone of your voice while reviewing with some sarcasm make me smile. You'd be fun to be friends with, I can tell. Keep up the good work and keep being entertaining as hell. You're good at what you do. :D
I'm glad I chose the wide wheel (2019) I get around 12-15 miles at full speed (25mph), no overheating, crazy acceleration, driven it in big downpours and it's fine To anyone seeking a cheaper good performance scooter, I'm always advizing them for the widewheel, but if the can to get the pro model (2020), better battery, an extra brake and better dash
Hi Ben, Thanks for another great review. Can I ask, are you a professional dancer or similar? Also took delivery of a HiBoy S2 then discovered that they now sell an S2 Pro...
That's the grumpiest I've seen you so far 🤣🤣🤣.... Seriously thanks for putting up with the discomfort Ben to deliver yet again another great video 🙏.... 28 miles is respectable BTW 👌
At least the Inmoton L9 topped the Ninebot Max's range of 35-40km! I'm sure it can last longer than 45km,, say around 50-55km range but hey the final L9 model should address those overheating issues, app connectivity issues and range as well. Poor old Xiaomi M365 Pro! Perhaps the Xiaomi Pro 2 will fix those issues eh? Looking forward to the review Ben hehe! 😁🛴
Always loving your videos mate! Keep it coming! If you get the chance for a comparison with the Ninebot Max Lite version that'd be great! Or even the Voiager 3. Thank you much.
As an NHS worker buying a e scooter has been the best decision I ever made. Been great during this lockdown. Shame they're stil not legal tho... Thanks for the vids Ben you're the reason I bought an e scooter to begin with.
Ben, you should do some testing with Joyor scooters. I believe they claim around 50 to 55 miles of range and close to 30mph top speed on their highest model.
Hi Ben Thanks for the videos. Quick question do you have a driving licence and how do you feel about the possibility of 6 points should a police officer take a dislike to what you are doing. Thanks
Thanks for doing the range test Ben and very entertaining as usual. I am surprised by the Xiaomi M365 Pro only managing 12.2 miles ... seems very low ... maybe cold weather played a part.
Hi Ben, I really really want you to answer this question for me. I have been looking to buy a scooter. Now I have noticed over the last couple of months, I have see a hell of a lot of people driving about on these. Majority of the people are kids, and when I am looking at listing on eBay on them they are saying you are not allowed to drive them in the street. I am constantly seeing people driving them and even yourself is driving them in parks and on the street. So don’t see how this is working because I really want to buy one. I don’t want to pay over a £1000 and just look at it as no one else seems to do this. Please reply to this comment.
You don't have to one trip range tests Ben! you can totally do it over a week of use! Also, what is up with UK, having major storms and wearing this huge coat in the end of july, this is crazy lol
Hi Ben. Thanks for this, I know range tests can't be fun to make. Can you think of any Scooters (off the top of your head) that don't lose power as the battery drains? Inmotion L9 looks great to me, but i'm not sure the company are going to deliver on their promise of August delivery!
