Hello Jules! Is that a Garmin Radar unit mounted the rear of the blue QV's hood? I notice that you are not using the mini visor on your QV; do you feel it is not worth the bother? How does the suspension on the QV handle the brick pavers I've seen on several of your videos? It must be nice to have so many other velo drivers to ride with and such nice bike ways.

Hey, thanks for watching again! Welcome back. Yeah that’s right. it’s a Garmin Varia rearlight / radar unit. I don’t use the visor because it’s optional and I have to buy it for around 13 USD and I wanted to try without it first. I certainly don’t miss it and I don’t think it’s needed or that handy to have. I experience the brick pavers as uncomfortable most of the time. Tough the suspension does it work properly. One part of the suspension consists of air ballows that dampen the shocks in the rear. I’ve always pressurized them to around 5 bar / 73 psi which is pretty hard. In about 4 months they loose around 2 bar I guess which makes it a lot more comfortable. But driving in a velomobile in general can be considered bumpy. Much like driving a gocart. Just slowing down sometimes helps too. :)
I feel blessed that I have that many people in a range of around 200 KMS around me that do drive on a regular basis. I like driving together with them. It’s nice.
By the way. There will be a similar video coming up around next week I guess with 53 velo’s like these.
After that video I am going to publish a complete video about what the thing is I am driving in and how it is controlled and such. If you have any questions that I can answer in the video, please let me know. It will be comprehensive 😀.
