- Hi, welcome back!! Long time no see :) Its your girl NaturallyZoey, and I wanted to do this real quick and easy flat twist hairstyle. I got this style idea from @Queen Teshna, who is a fellow youtuber (Go check her out). I really liked the style and decided to try it out on myself, and I figured why not film it for you guys..... I would say a flat coil, because of the technique. You are more so coiling the hair instead of actually twisting which requires two strands. I think that's why they called these "twisties" when I was coming up. Flat coils is the more technical term. Beautiful style even when I was in junior high and high school and even still today for those who have trouble flat twisting. Good job
Never thought about using a head tie yo hold down the back. Will use this method next time. I always have a hard time with keeping the part separated

This is what I was looking for! I used to twist my hair like this as a young girl & saw a style that I was inspired by w/ these twist but I everyone these days are doing 2 strand twist. It took me 10+ videos to find this! 😭

Was hoping someone ask what kind of styling gel or cream did you use-the last product before you started the twist- couldn't see it good- The style was beautiful,and so are you! Good job!-My hair is very short in the front and long in back after a breakage-Its very awkward,but you gave me hope!

Also- My daughter has almost that exact hair type I think or similar and was wondering what do you use for shampoo and conditioner? I see you use Cantu leave - in which is also what I use. But how else do you keep your hair so moisturized? Her hair always seems so dry and tangled and I do it every morning before school so I don't know how it stays so tangled. Hope you don''t mind me asking. Thanks!
I have use SO many different things. Coconut oil, Shea Moisture, Cantu etc.
Kayla Sportsman I don't mind at all! I use Aussie moist Shampoo and conditioner. I use Jamaican black castor oil to seal in moisture

How long are you able to keep the flat twist in without the hairs unraveling? Also I have just subscribed to your channel. Thank you for sharing this technique.
It depends. If I have somewhere to go, then I keep them in for a couple of hours. But for the most part I keep them in overnight, and I've never dealt with unraveling.

I'll be taking it down tomorrow as it's very humid where I am & in triple digits so it's getting frizzy. I've been putting edge control which helps but I'll have to redo the style after washing it, etc. My husband loved it.

Not to my knowledge.
Val Le your hair is always growing...are you talking about using flat twists as a protective style? if so, yes it can be used as a short-term protective style

Val Le I used to get flat twist when my hair was long. I like to think of them as a form of braids yes they help.
