That was one of the most amazing games I've ever watched. So many plays that will go unnoticed because of so many plays that couldn't be ignored, lol! The Jack Campbell hit on DK Metcalf to force the fumble was WILD. He hit him so hard on his right side that he straight up just dropped it with his left! DK also had a crazy good chip on Hutchinson early. DK is the truth, man, and Jack Campbell is a BAD BAD MAN.
It's not often that good things happen when you're in the grasp pushing for extra yards. Not a very smart play from DK when I believe he already had the 1st down.
@@robe2504Big guy playing against a physical defense. Also happens to be a leader in his lockerroom. Probably just trying to set the tone for his team. Unfortunately for DK, Jack Campbell plays like a psychopath every second of every snap.
The double suplex by Anzalone on K9, and that MF still doesn’t go down. I love my guys in D Mo and Gibbs…but in an alternate timeline, I’d love a Kenneth Walker III on my team.
@@robe2504 While this is true, he had firm control of the ball and is DK mfin Metcalf, lol. Only a boss like Campbell (who hits like this every time) makes that play! I'd trust DK to stretch for another yard over most skill position players in the NFL
@@winnguyen443 Last night was a good test of depth as they were 1st game without Ragnow, Branch, Barnes, and Davenport...bust still performed on Offense and Defense.
Awosika and Glasgow filled in a bunch last year when Ragnow was banged up (turf toe). Did you see Awosika pancake Witherspoon the second time after Montgomery crushed him on that catch and run? Brutal!
Saint talked about this play on his 33rd Team podcast. The Seahawks had run a double corner blitz three weeks in a row, and the Lions suspected they would run it after halftime. They did not give the Lions the exact look, but this was it. They adjusted to a double safety, instead of a double corner, blitz and the primary read on the play was Jamo. Saint was the third read so he knew he was not likely to get the ball even though he was wide open as well.
Ben is getting so much better at setting up his trick plays. He was good, but he has learned how to be great. Hopefully he can keep this up all season. 💪🦁💙
As a lifelong Lions fan, i don't know how to act right now. All this adoration is as foreign to me as a girl coming up to me before I go up to her, circa high school. This squad is making history for us. Even if they don't win it all, they are still a special squad. Coaches and front office included. Such a great time to be a Lions fan!
Jared Goff is finally showing he is trusting in his OLine protections and Receivers' route running (especially Tim Patrick filling last year's Josh Reynolds role), and also getting his TEs involved shows he's going through his reads and getting everyone involved.
Problem with this is before this 18 for 18 the record was 10 for 10. That was back in 04 by HOf Kurt Warner but went down with a injury. So yeah bs on whoever pulled that out there butt. Not a good start for a first time viewer
Ben Johnson had to learn to keep Running the Damn Ball. He kept trying to switch things up for games in 3rd quarters where he would pass all 3 Downs, but the games they succeed are the ones where he is sticking with the run game, to set up the pass game.
Interesting contrast between the Lions going deep in the bag to make sure they don't drop a home game, and Flores & KOC who put all the tricks away at half time and rode out the win on the road with largely vanilla stuff.
I wouldn’t call that deep in the bag by any stretch. It was pretty much running the same plays we run every week plus a response to Seattle getting cute and running the hook and lateral on us. That’s probably the only reason they threw in Alcatraz.
I wouldn't call it a "trick play" at all. Forms of the QB pass-back is even run down to the high school level. You just don't see it run in the NFL very often if at all...Monday being the exception.
"The Lions are football porn." What a great quote.

Montgomery knocking back Whithersppon on his arse like he hit a wall was amazing.

Alex Smith was 18 for 19 and that game they said golf said record by going 18 for 18 with over 200 yards. It’s never happened before.
It was the correct helmet choice by the way the uni's were made for the helmets the boys were clean
LG, Kayode Awosika, was making some great blocks all game. A lot of successful runs behind him. Another Hank Fraley development project showing out.
We got depth it looks like!

They apparently give Kayode and Michael Niese a lot of reps with the starters in practice. It shows.
I just love that he's named Kayode!!
The Lions and Ravens have 2 of the most dominant run games I have seen in years

It’s weird, for sure. Surreal. But also really fun to be a part of.
As this play was unfolding, I started thinking “well that trick play sure was shit”….. and in 1 second, was proven wrong.
Let’s go Lions!!!

Love this podcast
Macky YOU'RE NUTS!! That helmet was 🔥🔥🔥
Love this film breakdown!
Really enjoyed! I’m in!
Lions are going to keep getting more primetime games due to the way they have been showing up the last couple of years.
I see the backup finally decides to show up.

Good to see ya on a Tuesday J 😉

And St. Brown is the 3rd QB on the roster
LGs name is pronounced Kai-oh-dee (like coyote).
Goff and Mahomes have virtually the same 40 time at the combine
I have enjoyed watching the other channel for Vikes info! I loved the line , "Watching the Lions offense is like football porn!" 👀🤣 YW #313GRIT 🦁
Kyodi Awoshika is actually the 3rd string Center.
Do the Seahawks O-line plz

NO,NO ,NO don't change the outfits

KOC needs to dial up more flea flickers & triple reverses & such. No creativity whatsoever 😢
