It was a wild game of adaptations. Flores dominated for the first quarter, Ben Johnson had 4 straight TD drives in Q2 and beginning of Q3, then Flores shut them down (minus very last drive) in Q3/Q4. It’s going to be a legendary matchup we can hopefully see 3 times this season!
Jameson Williams absolutely torched his man on that seam TD to St. Brown. Goff could have had either but he’s a smart QB and lets his WR1 take the score. seen quite a few Lions TDs this season where Goff could pick or choose who he throws to
@@DetVen He said it in a press conference in year 2 of the new regime. Aaron Glenn first made the claim that he wants to go down as the best DC in Lions' history while taking questions at the podium, and Ben Johnson went up next and said just how AG wants to be the best DC in Lions history I want to be the best OC in Lions' history.
While the full-slide pass protection has been around since the 70's (and possibly before) the usage it sees today is mostly thanks to coaches like Bill Walsh who incorporated it into the fast pass high-percentage throws of the West Coast Offense. Considering the WCO popularized pass catching backs, it makes perfect sense we see this scheme being so effective for the Lions.
Dang colt! That touchdown by St. brown doesn't happen without penei 's block on the safety #0 after blocking #90. It would have been a sack! Our O-line plays at such a high level, and I truly appreciate whenever they are given credit.
I would Iike to know Ben's IQ. I have no doubt he is a workaholic. The whole team is built that way. A smart OC would develop plays on their own and look at plays from the past that were very effective. With today's metrics it's probably smart (IQ) if you take the time to look at particular plays and their effectiveness. That takes time though to filter through it. You have to work hard and sacrifice for that. A good football team has extremely dedicated people. That's the Lions culture now. It's amazing to see the change in this team. At 60, you are at the point you accept the team you love won't win a championship. F that! 😂🎉 Bless you boys (Tigers fans get it). 😉
Jared makes the smart plays. Whether that’s just taking it an curling n protecting the ball That’s what matters most and 1st . Always protect the ball. Make the right play(s)
St. Brown is Detroit's Steve Smith Jr. An absolute pit bull. Dependable, skilled, and one that plays with ZERO fucking fear. He's a huge part of the heart of this team, and he needs more respect put on his name. Stats aside, few players mean more to their team than the Sun God. 🤷♂️

Ben Johnson and Jared Goff 3-0 vs. Flores....4-0 incoming week 18!
Goff went 22-25 281 yards I wouldn't say flores dominated ehh. But Minnesota was tough
as a Lions fan, i hope this matchup only happens one more time this year. that was a nail biter

Great breakdown guys! These videos give the fans an in depth look at things we’re not able to. Keep it up 👍🏼 Lions are tough 💪🏼
Ben Johnson said he wanted to go down as the best OC in Lion’s history… bro is unintentionally the best OC of all time, his chess level has to be GM
@@southviewarab Where did Ben Johnson say that?

I think it was Bill with Brady vs Payton's Broncos that this iteration came from.
Sewell is a hell of a player

That throw to 14 is my favorite play of the year so far.
Monty crushing Witherspoon and breaking tackles for 20+
@@tarb1320 yeah thats top 3 for me right now.

Pretty happy owning Gibbs and Amon Ra this year. Saved me last week

BJ is the Best. Then there's my Dad Brad. The best run organization is in this Town. G day!!!
Lions adapted and overcame. Edit: Don't forget #5 bottom of screen... 2:34
It’s just play calling. You have to design all of those plays in order to call them.
Playcalling god, but LaPorta still doesn't get the ball 😢
Laporta is playing hurt my man, has been all season.
@@rockisawesome100 All season? Where did you hear that? He got rolled up on in an earlier game, but that was week 3. It's past their bye week now.
